I think it’s interesting how women think that all men want is sex - but it’s MEN that are seeking out AI company, not women. The men are the ones seeking non-physical connections - not women. I’m a firm believer in that men tend to fall in love with a woman faster, but they just don’t express it as fast as a woman would do. Men clearly care more about other aspects of a relationship other than sex than women give them credit for. It’s time to recognize that men care about emotional connections just as much as women do, they aren’t unemotional robots; they just process and express emotion differently than women do.

@TheTerrorHamster Exactly, because they're not always after sex. Like most women feel, it's a component of the relationship, not the only part that matters. Maybe one day that can be widely understood.
This is a super bizarre argument that men seeking sexual gratification through technology are proving that they want so much more than sex. This is simply never going to help anything between men and women. And I can tell you that men refusing to deal with women and their very different needs and ways of expressing themselves is absolutely just as destructive as whatever you are trying to say about women being destructive. Men in marriages accuse women of crazy and projected crap all the time and after they destroy the trust and safety the woman needed they often then start making weird and contradictory statements about how important the sex was and mattered that she wasn't good enough AND about how dare she thinks it was a huge priority for him while he's telling her that it is his whole reason for being justified in treating her any way he wants no matter how much she hurts from his treatment.
What men and women both need is to find a really good person. And there are precious few good people in the world at all, much less on either side of that divide of the battle of the sexes and currently available and meeting each other.
80 percent of women are chasing after the same top 10 percent of men. This 10 percent of men are who they are talking about when they say men only want sex. There is little motivation for the top 10 percent to settle down when there is an endless supply of women throwing themselves at there feet. Why buy the cow when there is endless milk for free. Women have no clue what the average guy is after because they refuse to interact with them to try and form intimate relationships.

I’m in a similar situation. Being friend zoned by every girl I’ve ever met for reasons outside of my control has made me depressed and apathetic.
If the world isn’t going to give a damn about men like us, then how can it also blame us for developing unhealthy coping mechanisms to get just a sliver of what we need but generally aren’t allowed to have.
I know most people would “encourage” you to not give up because there’s at least one person of the world who would date you despite your circumstances, but that doesn’t fix the underlying societal problems you aren’t responsible for. Plus, any women who would date people like us would feel like they’re “settling for less” because of their inherent biological hypergamy that makes women desire only the best of the best men. Unless they feel like they’ve got a prize they can’t be expected to love or respect their man, and why would they?
I’ve grown to resent people who constantly blame below average men for giving up on dating, as if we had much of a choice. That’s like blaming a person with schizophrenia for giving up on living independently.
Meanwhile, even the ugliest Women get simped over by average to above average guys, so what’s the point of being hopeful…
I feel like these are the underlying issues that drive so many men to become codependent on pornography, and unless society finally does something to properly address that and stop mass producing narcissistic women, this crisis isn’t going to just magically go away by continuing to shame men.

I personally know five guys, who's life went like this: get married, have kids. 3-7 years later, wife gets bored. Divorce. She gets the kids. Guy loses his children, but luckily, gets to pay for them until they're 18, plus extra for the wife, even if she's making more than he is. Either lose their business or have to get a second job to afford anything. All they do is pray for the kids, that they barely see, to turn 18. Yeah, it's over.

I never really understand why AI girlfriends are such a big deal for women. You've already rejected the vast majority of young men. Women have already said, en masse, that you don't want us. So why do you care how we spend our time if we're not bothering you?

I agree they are beyond saving, but having a love life (for me at least) is a privilege not a right. I have a lot of girl friends with high quality professions and none of them are expecting men to pay for everything (only exception i can think of is the first date dinner as part of the courtship, I'd say a lot of us appreciate that gesture but not expecting anything too expensive). My married girl friends and I all work and contribute financially towards bills/mortgage (but we also expect the man to contribute a fair share around the house) I wish i was a trad wife but unfortunately we can't afford it. I got married at 20, lasted 18 months, she cheated and took half our stuff.

It's not just that. It's women. Women are so backward. They have the highest standards that no average guy can reach. 99% are chasing and sleeping around with the same guys. They're trying to be wives to guys who only want to hook up. At this point, all that matters is if he's financially stable. After they tie the knot, we get the bare minimum in everything. Hell, they'll do freaky stuff for the bad boys that they'll never do for a good guy. The guy will ask to do something freaky, and she'll say she's never done it and she doesnt want to ( thats fine, they don't have to do something they dont want to) then the husband finds out one way or another that she used to do those things and enjoyed doing them, weather it's from one of her ex flings, her friend or they find a video of it. He confronts her and her excuse will be " I'm not that kind of girl anymore, I wanted to do it with you but I didn't want you to think differently of me or think I'm a slut." Then she'll want to do it with him, only because her secrets out, and she feels like she has too. Long story short, in order for a woman to love you, they have to lust for you.

I would say to surround yourself with like-minded people. Then see if you meet someone through those people. You are more likely to find a good woman through good people. I've watched all of Brett's "dating advice" videos, and all I can say is she has no empathy for men in modern dating. She thinks it can be as easy for us as it was for her.
I think it just goes to show how bad the risk/reward factor has become for men when it comes to entering relationships. The better this AI becomes at being able to simulate the physical and emotional traits of relationship, the less incentive men will have to actually pursue a real one in the face of rejection, condemnation and heartbreak.

@@aokieghoste i live in america too and i can tell you that if you want a gf, it is better to seek out a friendship because that’s what it will end up being in the long run, even as partners. the girls that a lot of guys seem to like end up having crazy high standards or being selfish/getting them into a really bad situation. that has nothing to do with the guy who likes her, that is just the girl’s problem so i don’t think she would be worth it anyways if she would just treat you like garbage. it’s better to get to know someone, because then they can get to know you too and see what you are really worth! i get what you mean because some girls here in america can be 😬😬😬. but i don’t think you would want that type of person anyways unless you only want to date them for their looks

I'll be honest, I don't think a lot of women realize how difficult it is out there for men on the dating scene. I didn't realize myself until I stopped screwing myself over and dumped my scummy cheating ex. My husband tells me all the time that I'm the girl of his dreams. I had no idea how many (better) guys were lining up to be with me. I feel for all the sad lonely men out there.
The simplest answer is.. AI is cheap in little to no maintenance.
Not saying it's the right answer but a lot of people do take the easy way out.

In the past, societies weren't as media-heavy. So people's expectations of what someone looked like were based on... real people. They might have had social dancing to encourage being able to touch someone or be in physical proximity. By contrast, if you can do what you want, people can have their expectations based on fantasies, avoid threat and then try to numb themselves. An AI isn't going to reject you. It isn't going to challenge you, and won't develop cellulite or other horrible markers of being an actual body. It wouldn't force you to deal with your physical insecurities. You're not disqualified if you can't afford trips to Paris.

😂 that’s the risk you will have to take in order to be in relationship. Get used to rejection. I got rejected multiple times in a job interview, did I take it to heart and chose to give up? Nope. I checked why I got rejected and applied what I learned in my next job application. People can’t accept the fact that rejection is not a failure but part of the process.

I don't have, nor do I ever plan to have, an AI girlfriend, but I do understand the appeal with the way the dating culture seems to be.
Even if getting just one date with just one woman wasn't really hard for most guys, marriage nowadays is a gamble at best. There's no guarantee that our marriage will last for our whole lives, much less that it would be a happy marriage even if it did. That's why "just get married" is outdated advice.

"It's better just because it's real" is not an argument. Good and healthy relationships can be built only upon trust, attraction, sympathy, shared interests and many more. If you can't find someone in real life for some reason, why holding on to your fantasy is not an option? What if illusion is the best you can get in real life?
It's bad I mean it's really really immoral and wrong. On the other hand I get it. I'm tired of girls/women telling me everything I do is wrong. Telling me I'm a pig for not dating their overweight girlfriend and just being someone I give effort without any reciprocation because I'm the average guy. Not tall not rich don't have above average social skills just an honest blue collar man. That no longer gets you much.

A lot of women are trash, but if you surround yourself with kind people who seek truth and goodness you will find good women who do not care about any of those superficial things. I married my husband after just a year of knowing him. He is not over 6ft. He’s a poor farmer I met at church, but I think he is the most attractive and most wonderful man in the world because he is always trying to be his best and seeks to show Gods love through him. You just gotta be seeking the ones with values that align with yours and quit ignoring red flags just because you’re impatient or lonely. The right one will come in due time

I have been burnt twice by marrying a real woman. The first cheated on me multiple times. The second was physically and verbally abusive and became more of an alcoholic as a means to trying to cope with the problems in her life. So, I dunno. I don't feel like the real thing is much better at this point.
Well, I've been single for well over a decade and gave up with dating and trying to find a companion, because ladies, you demand far too much from us men. Its the demands for materialism that really kills me, must have this, must have that, must spend hundreds on dinner, etc etc etc. It ridiculous, even more so in recent years with most of our jobs on the brink of extinction because of AI and robots.

I've tried these AI chatbots (The free ones, at least). It is not like talking with a real human. It has a memory span of about 5 minutes, and relies heavily on your own input. It cannot replace a real person. It's nothing more than an interactive storytelling device.
