I’m confused by ending contact with a child you raised for 6 years because a partner doesn’t feel comfortable with it. That’s sad. I’m also confused by “best friends” and sisters not sharing all this info.
I've had 6 step dads and most people don't feel comfortable with you taking care of a kid with an ex of that's not your kid I was o, the kid end of that and when the new guy comes around he don't want the ex there either

Yep, it happened to me. My ex-husband was sleeping with everyone around me, including my mom and probably my sisters , and nobody told me until I left him, and I let all of them go.

@Lelo.Machaka in my opinion she only took the call in private because she knew Mia would have an issue which she did. Now I'm not saying she's right for not telling her about the call.. but what I will stand behind is Mia had no right to ask her to give up communication with a CHILD she raised for 6 years! It's not about exs . If you read my comments, my concern is for that baby. At 6 years old, you may not understand a whole lot, but you definitely understand that all of a sudden, one day one of your moms just up & disappeared no phone calls visits ? That's traumatic to a young child. Mias wrong for ever asking her to do that & Kayla is wrong for obliging her. Like I said it's about the child not either of them
I feel like Kayla has more lies and the only reason these topics were discussed, is because they were the only topics brought to the forefront. She's proven that she'll lie about anything to avoid different levels of confrontation.

Mias fiance' is still in love with her ex-girlfriend. They didn't break up because she didn't love her, she was forced to. They've been together for 3 years. Why would an ex that you haven't communicated with just randomly call you about her daughter? Regarding covid symptoms? And you live on a different State? She's still lying. Mias best friend said she saw several texts and calls.

Well, Mia shamed her for being bi from the start. As a bi woman who lived as a lesbian 15 years, I totally get that. Mia should have created an environment where it was easy for Kayla to be completely honest with her from the jump.

The amount of ANXIETY that woman had to hold in to try to be perfect for everyone around her. Literally had me in tears! Both beautiful women and the truth made everything clear. This was great!

As someone who helped raise my ex partners child for nrly 9 years before we broke up and this time we’ve gone no contact.I can give a different perspective on this
Having another persons child in your life no matter if you love them as your own or not can be overwhelmingly confusing for the child especially when you still love each other but can’t be together for other reasons
It’s too hard to have to say goodbye but no contact is even harder
I honestly do feel like for me personally I have to do it for my own sanity and his fathers sanity
We can’t heal around each other and it isn’t fair on the child to see the constant pain in their parents eyes
Even at6 he picked up on this stuff as we broke up so many times it was disruptive to his little life
I miss him everyday constantly every second I miss his little face his hugs the way he smells of candy and stale farts and fabric softner all at once and his cheeky little smile.

Y'all are making it seem like it is Kayla's daughter she has cut off. This was her ex's daughter, so no, she doesn't need to do anything. Kayla made that decision in order to be with Mia. While this is bad for the little girl, that is up to her mother and father to raise her; not Kayla.
