Fair play to her for doing all the exams and getting promoted previously but I womder was she a bit naive to think she could be at that level as a police officer and continue with such a presence on social media, i feel sorry for her but maybe she needed to see the seriousness of her job and maybe it would have been wiser to keep her social media private , the police should be ashamed of their behaviur towards her i do think that , i wish her all the best

She was only told 27 times to stop doing it, they didnt give her many chances😂 anyone else would take the hint after the first pulling up. Seems she preferred flaunting herself over social media than being a police officer. As for anyone trying to say ' why should she stop it ' shes joined the police, and not only that shes in a supervisory role, she has to set standards. She was thrown into a job she wasnt ready for by the very flawed accelerated promotion process and was still trying to act like some 19 year old looking for attention online. How many times here does she mention that bad apple reports were continuing to come in, yet she still carried on the same way. However, there is bullying in the police, but theres no victim in this story im afraid. You wouldn't join the army and say why should I have to conform to your army discipline, well same rules apply here.

I completely agree, signing up to be a figure of authority comes with certain expectations of behaviour that she agreed to. The interview made me feel like it was everyone else's fault but hers! Jealousy doesn't enter into it, being a police officer of any rank comes with responsibilities that should be taken seriously. I for one wouldn't take an officer seriously if they can't and won't take responsibility for their choices and actions.

  • @alfiecat9288
    @alfiecat9288 11 місяців тому +14

This woman is a professional victim, she refused to take advice from superiors about her behaviour; she posted highly sexualised content that was deemed totally inappropriate for a police officer. She didn’t pass HPDS either, she wasn’t intelligent enough. Considering she studied forensics, her knowledge about SOCOs/CSI is all wrong; she wouldn’t have been intelligent enough for that either, (it’s harder to get into than policing).
No Fed rep in force would represent her as she was a nightmare. Her sick record was appalling and her colleagues didn’t support her as she wasn’t a team player and everyone had to go out of their way to cover for her absences. Then she would rub their noses in it by posting many, many “suggestive” posts of her from all over the world. She was a “badge collector” who would go on any course to get promotion etc but would not be at the job to use these skills, (due sickness, maternity leave and restricted duties). She would never have made inspector as she was not respected by her colleagues or had the right attitude to policing. Yes, respect is something you have to earn by your actions, it is not a given.
The similarities between this woman and Meghan Markle with regard to their truth and wanting to change things to suit themselves is staggering. Lincolnshire Police is the smallest force, with the lowest income, covering the biggest area, they don’t have the money to carry someone like her, (approximately £60k including benefits and pensions contributions for a Sergeant). The reason she was so stressed is because she doesn’t like being told what to do; on her disciplinaries, she was given advice, which she refused to follow. There are codes of conduct Police have to follow to protect them from being vulnerable to adverse influences and maintain their professional integrity, she would not accept them and often appeared to flout them.
Granted, she is a persuasive person who knows how to influence people and knows how to appear credible. The senior officer who investigated her in Professional Standards was a woman who l know is one of the most unbiased and professional people, if anything Leanne was given a lot of chances, but did not take advantage of them and it is wrong that she has tried to use the sexism card. I wonder why she had no representation for her Employment Tribunal, no case to answer?
Suck it up buttercup, we all have to face these pressures and upsetting scenes, I’m sure l saw more upsetting things during my service. Her actions as a Police Officer, make it so much harder for the rest of us women in policing, so no, I am not sympathetic to her cause. The only person to say she’s been bullied is her.

I’m a little torn by this. Clearly how she was treated was out of order and shouldn’t have happened, HOWEVER, when you work for a uniformed organisation and public office you are expected to uphold a certain standard. Her social media is her own personal social media and she has every right to have it, but when it comes to 12k followers it does start to border on the fact that it’s no longer your “personal” social media. Influencer or not, you have 12,000 people following you there are social media policies to abide by.
In a disciplined organisation you have to follow orders and tow the line. She obstructed and refused and continued to try and do things her own way which doesn’t work in that kind of organisation. Whether she was right, or only believed she was right, when you are clearly brushing against the top brass you put a target on your back.
As for the amount of time she was off sick that also ruffles feathers especially if it appears that you’re also going on holiday when off sick.
Now she has started an onlyfans so literally EVERY accusation they made towards her they are going to sleep well in their beds thinking they were right.
Clearly she’s been badly affected by what she went through and I feel bad for her. I don’t think the police was the right career for her because you cannot be “you” when you’re in uniform, that’s the whole point of uniform.
The reason they don’t like bikini photos all over social media when you’re in the police is you arrest people, you will also be going to court and testifying to put horrible people in jail. Defence barristers would be dragging that up EVERY time and dragging you through the mud, so it’s no longer about the case, it’s about you and your bikini on a beach. THAT is why. Whether that can be classed as sexual discrimination in itself maybe, but unfortunately it would happen and it could destroy your credibility and get a case thrown out. That’s why the social media policies are what they are.

(40 minutes in)Seems like she went into policing treating it like it was a game. She’s academic - sitting exams and looking to excel to the next position quickly without actually spending much time doing that role within the force, almost treating it like a level within a game. Was she wanting to be a police officer or a modelling/influencer? I don’t think she really knows. No doubt she did face some hardships within the police but having a public profile with high engagement and being a police officer - don’t go hand in hand. Upon the first report and being asked to review what she was posting she should have listened to what was being asked of her. I think this outcome could have been avoided if she had looked at how she conducted her life on social media. She was living a life that not all police officers could do, even if they wanted, they took their job seriously. No wonder there were so many complaints.

@@shelllbbbyyy I don’t take any of the Police officers who have arrested me in the past seriously, and it never stopped them arresting me, plus the odds of a female police officer being recognised for her instagram account by another female is very unlikely, and she wasn’t a model, she may have appeared to be a model but she was posting pictures that, were drawing attention but is that her fault? Why should she be discriminated against because her social media was a success, it’s clearly professional jealousy which we or most of us will experience, I had it working for a major football club here in Scotland, at the time I was this 21 year old who had barley been there 18 months and I had a key position, I was suddenly bossing my colleagues who were in their 40s and I went from being this new rookie who was looked out for to alienated, but I adapted and was just kinda soft or i devolved responsibilities onto what ones wanted it, I know the police is notorious for attracting narcissists so I imagine a work environment like that would be toxic for someone who wasn’t a narcissist and was very successful in both areas of her life, would you not take your waitress seriously if you noticed she was known just to you when you eat out? I also think this is gender playing into it too, she mostly spoke of certain female colleagues who were not happy about this, if you were going to be arrested and it was a male model you admire arresting you would you not take him seriously? I'm not being funny, but I cannot se the problem with Police HR taking this stance. I'm a 30 year service Paramedic and there's no way my NHS trust or Service would condone a member of staff doing what she's doing on social media. You're the face of the Service.. how can you be expected to perform your day to day duties when detained persons, patients, fellow members of staff take you serioulsy when you're posting stuff on insta. As for going sick and going on holiday, no problem with that. but I would not post stuff on social media about it.
We have fast tracking as well.. you get someone with NO EXPERIANCE at all, promoted really quickly then they are the Gold or Silver commander lead at major incidents. James this is you're worse 2oh woe is me" guest you've ever had. Sound like she joined the old bill for a game and not to Serve.

I'm a big fan of your podcast James but I think you've got this one wrong.
    1. How the hell can a police Sergeant afford a Porsche on a £40k salary? 😂
    2. Why have so many 'Bad Apple' reports being submitted against one individual 😮
    3. The fact her legal team dropped her days before her trial is very telling.
    4. She claims police corruption but didn't provide one example. All she has provided are examples of a bad institutional culture.
She has an issue with her colleagues, various senior management, the media and self appointed legal team.
And she resigned! Her lawyers would have advised her not to resign. She likely resigned to avoid being dismissed to retain her pension etc.
Overall, I think she's full of bs and probably one of the least credible guests you've ever interviewed.

    • @katealison6087

If you can't see the genuine pain in her face then you are missing an aspect of your humanity. To answer your points - you can buy a pre-used porsche for 5k! She explained the number of bad apple reports - it was a campaign of harrassment and bullying from people who didn't like being given orders by a high achieving, yet 23 year old female sergeant. That is a very likely and not unusual scenario in such a male dominated environment. Look at the Met and the issues they're having with staff character. It's not hard to imagine? 3. her legal team released the case because she'd finally decided to engage with Only Fans. With solicitors charging approx £250 an hour and her being the single mother of 2 children, she most likely had to make the decision to move forwards, earn money however she could within the law and release her mental health from the extreme strain of going through a trial. 4. Telling lies about a colleague, repeatedly is corruption. It's lying. There was never any finding that there was an issue with her work performance, this was all about her life outside of the police. Whoever was targeting her tried to use that because they had nothing else. She has been and still is sometimes suicidal. She is suffering from awful trauma yet has still picked herself up and is now turning the whole situation on its head by finally making an income from modelling. I admire her strength, courage and tenacity. You'd hope that a senior officer somewhere would watch this and consider reinstating her. Like another commentator mentioned she is clearly a huge asset to the police force. As well as her inhouse quaslifications, has a degree in forensic criminology (I read an article linked to this situation) What a waste of a talented officer.

Sorry James I'm calling this as I see it. Public vs private. the police is a public outfit towards the reputation representation of law and private for those who claim representing it. whether your female, male or or any other. so with that said, they all have to tow the line. live by the sword die by the sword. the only way to get though or past her situation was to make a choice public model profile by default or public services lady and private by default simple. clearly she wanted to make a point and take a stand with grand delusional narcissistic tendency at the helm. she's tried to use the few bad 🍎 as a tool to have her cake and eat it anybody with the grim task of trying to point this out to a narcissistic person is the bully is targeting her is the one in the rong. doesn't matter who you are if you can chastise, punish and police the public on technicalities, through the system, you are also fallible towards such technicalities. They are not rong she is. I bet her solicitor, partner and anyone who really knows her and doesn't regurgitate her view back to her will tell you the same it's all actually her fault. but being the narcissistic person she is it's always, no matter what, everybody else's fault. they tried there hardest to point this out but while dealing with a narcissistic personality and it always being everybody else's fault, because rather then make a simple choice she wanted to brow beat the law to change or look the otherway, whilst simultaneously building a public platform but unfortunately for her, as is with us, she's not that special. Also notice her take on what she was, same thing she's played her whole life, oh whoe is me THE PROBLEM CHILD, #IFYOUDONTAGREE, you are bullying me, beacuse your jealous of me. Anybody she's brow beaten into saying yes, just to get her of there backs but then obviously don't sing from her tainted hymn sheet once away from her grinding personality, they have let her down, when really with the opportunity she's squandered and lame reason why, it will always be her actual fault. she's a victim of her personality. Now the truth has been said lets kick back together and watch how many sycophantic triggered people who only hear there favorite trigger slogans and words fall in to line and become her army of fool's and fool's they are.. 😁👌 oh just for good measure I to am on the same medication as her 30 milligrams for ptsd social anxiety disorder depression and ptsd because of actually real not engineered self centred but real shit and it really pisses me of to listen to her use those symptoms as a tool to further her narcissistic aim she's an absolute shame and embarrassment to her self and anybody suffering from more then an ego and narcissism. I don’t want to just be a keyboard warrior criticising but it does strike me that it was entirely inappropriate to have a public profile like that in her role. I’d never suggest she shouldn’t have been allowed to have social media but why does it need to be public? I think it would be fair to ask her to take personal stuff offline

As a person who was bullied at work while I worked in a luxury retail in London because my manager was super jealous of money I made and other stuff I guess I really understand her pain, however I agreed on everything until she said she has OF,that is not professional especially for a PO. I hope she will find strength and just keeps it as a good lesson and just a bad memory now.

She is obviously on the ball. Going into the meeting with no representative you would just leave or say i need a rep before this meeting continues, she would of known that. Some bits dont add up

Why can't a police officer or anyone working and paying taxes be able to have a personal life .
I understand what everyone else are saying.
But people should have their own personal space and time aswell as share it .

The police bullied and victimised this poor woman. They should be ashamed. May she find strength and courage to continue shining the light on evil and telling the truth.
