- After over 20 years in the Police force including 14 years working undercover Neil Woods has come forward and admitted ''I've done really bad things''. Woods spent much of his time fighting crime by means of manipulation, entering the world of drugs and gangs via the back door... befriending what he calls the weak and vulnerable and seeking introduction to the biggest gangsters in Britain. Coming up against gangsters who use rape and torture to deal with their enemies would leave a few mental scars for most but Woods' biggest battle seems to be with the guilt of exploiting the drug abusers he used to get him involved with the gangs. After a long war on drugs Woods claims the war needs to end and its time for a new solution.

Laurence is so underrated, when they talked about the legalisation of drugs, he kept arguing against the point of legalisation while he's not against it just so the podcast becomes better. I don't think many people realise that.

My favourite of your podcasts so far. Also just purchased the book. Neil is a man with knowledge and wisdom in the subject matter, and for a youtube, like yourself, to actually take interest in this social issue is refreshing.

You 2 are so funny, it really works even though you couldn't be any different in your outlooks and opinions. This is a fantastic interview, and this gent has an incredible story to tell. I'm a big true crime book reader and know of several of these gangs mentioned like The Gunns of Notingham and The Burger Bar Boys so this guy truly was walking an incredibly dangerous line. If he'd been discovered he'd have been left in a ditch with an OBE (one behind the ear) so he's a very brave gent.
Big respect to you big man. I'm from Montreal, Quebec and I find that in my first language (French), there isn't much men actually talking about their emotional problems. I have followed your channel for a long time, but really grew more interest recently as I started to realize how true you are. You are the type of bloke I'd want to have more than a few pints with at the pub.

A good interviewer doesn’t have to ask a lot of questions and they certainly don’t interrupt when a guest has a great story to tell. He was a great guest, you should have just let him talk

I am Canadian, so I don't really know much of anything about the hosts of this podcast. i tune in from time to time because they have some very interesting guests. But yeah,..you guys are right when you say that they don't let their guests talk enough. How and why did this podcast get so popular?? Are the hosts famous or something? I don't get it. I found them through watching Shaun Atwood's channel a few years ago or so. I don't understand how this channel/podcast got so popular. Can someone from the UK kindly explain to me what the deal is? Thanks again.

Another great podcast. Great to have real guys rather than always youtubers. I like the mix of real guys, youtubers and just you and Lawrence.
Why get a guest on to tell his story, then, while telling what is a serious narrative. All these two do is interupt and talk about themselves. The imature way they seem to think he and the police work is a sign of the fact they belive the way television and film portray the police is real.

Im actually writing my university dissertation on the economic benefits of legalising drugs so this podcast was absolutely fascinating, let alone the gripping stories! great podcast Brian, truly top notch content

@@uioplkhj wow what a throwback this is. I didn’t get my first choice in the end and ended up having to do my dissertation on the economic effect of a soft/hard brexit deal… despite it being written pre the finalisation of brexit- much less interesting than the black market!
These podcasts are amazing both Laurence and geordie putting across both sides of argument with good evidence backing up , will definitely be showing these podcasts to my kids in the future. Well done both of you hope you continue growing
