Hi! I'm an independent English escort completely by choice and I love my job, so I don't think you can blanket the whole site under the same guise but I get what you mean. This is why they need to further legalise (it's not illegal to pay for sex in the UK except in Northern Ireland) and legitimise this business. If we followed in the footsteps of the Netherlands for example, I think it would give far less opportunity for this kind of modern slavery. There's a company called the CPE (collection of prostitutes in England) that are fighting to get a bill passed so that we can regulate it properly, if you fancy going down a rabbit hole one evening they're quite interesting to read into :)
What this woman went through is horrific and is definitely still happening all over the world but to say every escort has the same backstory is diluting hers.
Sex work is work, and it comes in all forms. This wasn't work this was exploitation.

@nomadicdramatic2496 issue is if you legalise it will be much harder to prosecute for those who are trafficked as the act will be legal. Also morally a lot of people wouldn't be happy either

@@hannahwilliams5394 nothing immoral about working to provide for yourself and/or family, plus it's already legal, so 🤷‍♀️ Fact of the matter is you'll never be able to get rid of the sex trade, so we need to do it properly. It would better protect both provider and customer. It's absolutely everywhere and it's some of the most "normal" people you know. Not to mention the money the government could make on taxing it, and we're not a very rich country right now.

It fills me with fear on how evil can come up from out the woodwork so quickly. We think that we are 'decent' in the UK, but say if a war happened, the fact of how quickly the monsters lurking, and how quickly everyday people who we think we know, would show their evil and would come out to play freely. They do it underground at present, but there aren't gangs of them coming around your house. Human's have always fascinated me and they fill me with fear, as devils walk amongst us.

We're waking up to so much evil in this world through stories like this which have been hidden. This is the time of great light and awakening. Horrific as these truths are, the flipside is more wonderful. We're realising how incredible we are and that there are so many more good, well-intentioned and loving people than there are predators and psychopaths with no soul. More disclosures will bring us together, one human at a time. Bless you both. ♥

What an inspirational woman, I always think what a benefit it would be if schools or colleges hired speakers like this lady to share their stories - how much maybe the younger generation might understand the privilege they have x

What an unimaginable life both before the war and after Lurata’s horrific ordeal. The pain she endured is unimaginable. I’m astonished with Lurata’s survival and resilience. I too am a personal trainer and I’m very grateful to Lurata because she is such a genuine and positive soul and an amazing inspiration, I can only imagine her clients were in awe of Lurata. I am completely overwhelmed by her story this is my second time listening in order to take it all in. I am soo happy and elated for Lurata she has been able to turn her life around, it’s just soo inspiring and amazing. I would absolutely love to meet you one day. I have also have major back injuries through childhood trauma and internalised emotions. I too am a survivor and now even more so after listening to this podcast. Thanks James what a brave man you are to address the subject of human trafficking and highlight others incredible bravery and survival they give us all strength.

I think having at an unloving start does the most damage, it seems that when someone has love from their mom or their dad, given the right love as a child it helps them in their adult life as like Lurata says thy can draw on that love they experienced to help them through their situation, whereas if they had a traumatic childhood, what have they to draw light from? Unless they are lucky enough or blessed enough to meet someone outside as adult who can shine a light within their darkness, that's what happened to me, if it were not for a couple of people whom came into my life as an adult, goodness knows what mess i would have gotten myself into.
I also think it takes a strong spirit to not give up.

All of these adventures since Korea, Vietnam, the Middle East, Bosnia, & especially Haiti (and so many more) have the same game plan, starting with their profit strategy, Bosnia & Haiti are almost the same, take control of the area, lock down the rat lines to bring in & out- money, organs, human trafficking, etc. Start the cause with a disaster, war, or earthquake, use global groups, then the evil groups like NATO, Red Cross, Clinton Foundation to lock down the playing field, start stealing the money meant for the refugees. Haiti got no money from the 2.5B Clinton Foundation, they built a hospital there above the lake for organ harvesting, & keep finding Haitians floating in the lake without organs, it is a great place to reach the the right hospitals. Hillary's employee tried to walk 30 or 50 children across the mountain to the Dominic Republic, but they got caught, and nothing was done. Everything is changing now on our planet.
