Gentlemen, I awoke this morning with a tee time awaiting me. My play has suffered much recently and I had nothing to lose, so I clicked on the first short video I could find for something, anything to help me beat the s.o.b. I've been playing with for 30 years. AMAZING what a little instruction can do for your game. Thank you, thank you,......................THANK YOU!
The follow through and weight shift have helped more than anything! This, after re-learning how to grip correctly with the wrist movement have been a huge improvement in my game. I am now well under 90.
Weight transfer helped me more than any other drill.I walk through the shot when I practice and it helps sooo much.I had a massive slice and tried just about everything, but this was the only fix. Anyone that has a slice problem do this!!!
Jon Doe when using any of my irons or wedges, I try to really focus on transferring my weight from front to back, front to back foot, etc. etc. when doing my practice swings. It really helps me to be mentally cognizant of transferring my weight during the actual swing
I also have a slice problem. Tried alot of stuff that mostly worked, but the slice always comes back when I least wan't it to. Played a round with my mom today and she filmed a couple of swings, and I'm clearly not weight shifting. Gonna try the walk through drill tomorrow for sure!
I need this so badly. I just started swinging and you're the first ones who have shown me how far I should be away from the ball with my irons. In my videos even I think I'm too far away because I seem to be bent over so far. I will try this immediately. Thank you.
The day before I watched this video I had an awful day on the range using my irons. The day after I watched this, I went back to the range and went up my irons from W, 9, 8... to my 4 iron and was hitting them consistently. Even the bad bad shots were going fairly straight! Thanks a lot guys, great tips!
Great video, for the last example.. I use to have a terrible 'chicken wing', as a right handed golfer, getting the feeling as if my right hand palm turns towards the ground through impact helped me tremendously, almost instantly got rid of my 'chicken wing', great video as always guys!
Brilliant video, I'm not a great fan of your channel (nothing personal) but this is excellent instruction. Clear concise with great clarity. Thank you.
I was doing the 3/4 swing and stop your follow thru halfway to see where your arms are drill in my yard last night and I shot a 77 today. Broke 80 for the first time. Excellent drill guys, love your videos.
Hi guys. Great vid. Whipping the Towel, is this done with forfinger and thumb of the right hand. As yourselves and the Pros make it look “right hand thrust “???
Totally agree guys. My handicap is down from 12.2 to 5.9 this season and it's all about the irons. Oh, and hitting fairways with my driver. My chipping/pitching and putting was always good but I just couldn't hit fairways and greens. Now I am and my handicap is down and my confidence is up. #break70
Would you guys ever consider doing a few lefty videos or a swing analysis video for a lefty? I absolutely love your guys’ videos since I discovered your channel on the first week of this years golf season. Believe it or not, I have successfully shaved off a consistent 5, moving closer to 10 stokes off my average score in that time period! I’m 27 and have been golfing consistently for 4 seasons now. At the end of last season I would be happy to break 100. I am not consistently shooting in the low-mid 90’s and even broke 90 twice this year since I found your channel! Love your personalities and the way you guys play off each other. The content is the best on UA-cam for golf instructions. Keep up the great work! - Ian G.
I just found you guys today. I have been out of the game for a while. Trying to get back into it now that I live in a golf course community but I've been playing terrible! I watched a lot of videos of different people with different tricks and hand grips for slicing and so on. But I really appreciate the length of explanation and the drills you put in the videos for practicing. I'm subscribed to your channel now and looking forward to new content! Thank you guys for the great videos.
Good video. Have you thought about a follow up video about the point you made towards the end? I used to tee up 3 woods and even irons way too high for tee shots, and its something I see a lot of beginner and even decent players do too often. The tee is to help you get good ball first contact, but with 3 woods or even iron tee shots you don't need the ball to be off the ground very much as the club face is smaller than a driver. This also helps as you don't have to change your swing from tee shot to fairway.
It's natural that a rough 10% of haters always but thumbs down on any video of anyone. It's the only way to say the world "hey, here I am, I exist too!" Just ignore these poor guys.
I am extremely new to the game. Irons are a confusing group for me. This is BY FAR the best tutorial for them that I have found so far!! Thank you so much :) Heading to the range today! Peace and Love
Hi Andy and Piers. I get the concept of getting onto the left leg for right handed golfer, but how do you prevent moving the pressure too much which results in body moving over the vertical leg position and an open face at impact?
Good review - will hopefully inspire a few more visits. Surprised to sense an initial reluctance to visit this track from such a well-travelled golfer! Please continue to review more courses like this
I already have this drill implicated into my practice and warm up. Absolutely fantastic drill and I believe there is a third aspect to it. I like to feel like the club head never passes my body and it helps my rotation miles.
I was wondering where can I find a mat like the one at the beginning of the video, I know I don’t have correct posture but I’m not sure how to correct it and this seems like a good start to solving my problem.
Thanks for all of the great videos. I don't know why I haven't seen this one before. The set to point drill really helped me. Even without great contact the ball still went straight. My question is which clubs do we consider irons? Are we talking long irons like 3-6 or all of them from 3-PW. I see the guys on tour with a much different finish on the short irons.
I think this drill is called the "Step through drill", made famous by Gary Player himself. Recently used by Padraig Harrington like other people mentioned aswell!
Hi guys your videos are great and easy to understand except I find it hard to visualise myself doing the correct swing as a female. Would it be possible for you guys to show some of these videos with a female practising the swing? Can you also elaborate more on hip rotation with the irons. Thanks and can’t wait to try these tips.
If the left side is important for a right handed golfer, would it be easier to use left handed golf clubs for a right handed golfer? Can meandmygolf do a video using lefthanded golf clubs?
Four men went golfing together one day; three headed to the first tee and one went into the club house to take care of the bill. The three men started talking, bragging about their sons. The first man told the others, "My son is a home builder and he's so successful that he gave a friend a new home - for free." The second man said, "My son was a car salesman and now he owns a multi-line dealership. He's so successful that he gave a friend two Cadillacs." The third man, not wanting to be outdone bragged, "My son is a stock broker and he's doing so well that he gave his friend an entire stock portfolio." The fourth man joined them on the tee after a few minutes of taking care of business. The first man mentioned, "We were just talking about our sons. How is yours doing?" The fourth man replied, "Well, my son is gay. I'm not totally thrilled about it, but he must be good. His last three boyfriends gave him a house, two cars, and a stock portfolio."
Soon after reading these golf swing secrets “mowosam press” (Google it) and rehearsing the drills as I read, I went out and also shot a seventy three. I also managed to hit 13-18 greens and that was the best one I had since I started playing. I also almost strike the green with a distance of 5 to 10 yards on the other 5 holes. My handicap is a nine so I do not shoot 73s all the time. It has been can be a very long time since I made an excellent round...
Many thanks, I been tryin to find out about "golf aids" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Graysonyon Putter Prolific - (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now ) ? Ive heard some awesome things about it and my neighbour got great results with it.
Cheers for the video content! Sorry for the intrusion, I would appreciate your initial thoughts. Have you considered - Paneevelyn Swinging Clubsman (search on google)? It is a good one of a kind product for revealing an effortless golf swing technique without the headache. Ive heard some incredible things about it and my friend Sam finally got amazing success with it.
Thanks for the tips. I finally started hitting ball more consistent!! I am starting to lower my 20 handicap!

Geronimo McDuggins you actually do both.

This is so helpful. I am a fairly new golfer and very inconsistent when using my irons. Thank you.

Great drill and detail explanation..thanks.
Great tip and Step through was used by Gary Player and is a great tip....Cheers
Gary Player made the walk through very famous! Also had a little knee hinge in there to start the backswing!
Thanks love this, point well taken
great drills, the last one where you extend and hold arms, just made me hit the target same place 5 times in a row! thank you!
Great work. Glad it helped.

Hi Andy and Piers. I get the concept of getting onto the left leg for right handed golfer, but how do you prevent moving the pressure too much which results in body moving over the vertical leg position and an open face at impact?
I’ve seen Gary Player do that walk through drill so many times.
Very useful video, thanks guys
Like the drills, sounds good, will try them tomorrow at Playsport.
Nice, concise lesson.

Gary Player not only walks after the golf ball, he also frequently turns his left foot way out (45 degrees) on the downswing.
Great golf tips, thanks guys!

Thanks for the tips
Sir Gary Player!! Awesome guy
Fantastic instruction
I actually have a tendency to take a step after my iron shot. I thought I needed to stop doing it but it appears it’s not a bad thing to do!!!!
happy gilmore walks after contact 😂
Thanks for all of the great videos. I don't know why I haven't seen this one before. The set to point drill really helped me. Even without great contact the ball still went straight. Set this to 0.5 speed at 3.35 to watch the swing in slow mo and they both sound like they are sozzled!
This is absolute gold. 3:30-3:53 is what I watched. "Can we just help golfers get better pls?"
Haha hilarious
great. now the videos gonna be twice as long. But 100 times more hilarious.
Grogged up golf tips

I learned the walk-on drill from Paul Azinger. But Happy Gillmore did it far earlier. XD
Four men went golfing together one day; three headed to the first tee and one went into the club house to take care of the bill.
