⚡TeslaFi (Code: MYTESLA) - bit.ly/TesIaFi
I have no home charging, but free workplace charging. I think i'll be fine
Until you change jobs. Or the company stops providing free charging
Or vacation, maintenance on charger needed
I don’t care about home charging, I refuse to continue to pay for gas. I HATE it. I will never buy any other vehicle other than a Tesla regardless of home charging or WiFi
I will make it work at all costs
Hell yeah
This is really weird
The only reason I got a tesla was because of charging convenience. Even though I live in an apartment my work has level 2 charging, so I just charge my car for free at work. Also if anyone cares while PPF is nice I personally dont think its a must. I have a 2023 Y and my paint still looks fine, even though I live in NY where the snow and the salt ruin the road.
that's why I ordered my 24 M3P - free work charging in the garage.
I disagree with that comment you said about the stupid to own a Tesla without having their own charger or living without one I live in an apartment so is it stupid to own a car who doesn't want to pay for gas come on bro gas is expensive Shell gas is almost $6 a gallon
It was very rude of him to say that. I own both MYP and Mach E GT and I live in an apt with private garage and my complex also has EV charging and I’ve been just fine
No one is mentioning oil changes or anything else that comes with ICE.
@@JoshuaB-ku1lkI’m in a similar situation and looking to buy the rwd LR 2024…. Does it cost more to use the apartment charging stations vs home plug in?
Might be a silly question… but this will be my first EV
he was showing out lol im getting a Tesla in a apartment I don't care
I got my VIN before applying for financing! It's on its way to Florida on the truck as we speak! (If you speak to a tesla advisor they can see the exact location of the car :) )
After you get the VIN try to get the odometer reading from your advisor. My insurance company needed this in order to get coverage.
Yeah, you’ll get a MVPA with the reading.
I installed my home charger the day I got it and I received a text with my delivery date today, so I'm picking up my Model Y in 3 days.
Hugely helpful. Hoping to purchase next year. gives me plenty of time to get familiar with all you covered (especially home charging). Thx
I agree about the home charging. I personally would not buy an EV if I couldn't easily charge at home. It is literally one of the major conveniences of EV ownership.
that's like saying I would not buy a car unless I can put a gas station at home
@@duranfly Not exactly. I say this mainly because there are no public fast chargers near me, so if I couldn't charge at home, it would really suck (which is why I said I wouldn't buy an EV if I couldn't easily charge at home). Even if there was a nearby Supercharger, charging at home is way more convenient. To me, Superchargers are great for road trips. Gas stations are so yesterday! 🙂
I own a Model Y, and live on the 19th floor in a high-rise luxury condominium with no ev charging stations. I resent being referred to as stupid because I no longer own a house to charge my vehicle. I no longer have to deal with oil changes, where service techs have overfilled my vehicle with oil underfeed it with oil left the caps off, put in the wrong coolant etc., I no longer have to deal with mechanics that make up problems and damage my vehicle just to scam me out of more money. Last thing you sound like a child that’s never owned a gas power vehicles, I’ve been on multiple trips, and to fill up my vehicle was between $75-$100 for a full tank of gas. and the vechile never went as far as the estimated range shown. When I filled up my Tesla too and 100% for a trip it was $18. You do the math.
“high rise luxury condominium” that doesn’t have ev charging….? yeah okay
@@JremiahJones why is that odd to you?
Jeremiah i ojust ordered my Tesla is it too late to use your referral code? if I can still use it what is it?
"if you don't have home charging why are you getting a tesla" sorry to break it to you but majority of people are buying tesla for the following: the speed, the technology related stuff, and the looks. I don't have home charging but I have a super charger 1 min from my house. Also didn't buy the 24 model 3 performance for gas saving... I bought it for everything else. if you're buying a 60k car (after taxes and fees) gas prices is definitely not a concern in your life 😂. probably the most brain dead thing I've ever heard you say
If you didn’t buy for the gas savings and 60k isn’t a big deal, why not just get a charger installed at your house? People actually unconcerned about gas prices are concerned about time, and supercharging costs just that.
Like i said, it’s fine to own a tesla just to own a tesla but let’s be honest to people.
Whoosh
Hey, just to follow up on your theory of financing. I ordered my 2024 M3P at 9AM on 4/23/24. I made the mistake of choosing financing at that time and opened an application. I still got my delivery in last Wednesday which was just 5 weeks after my order. I was lucky as they did not require a new credit submission and the rate stayed at the original lower amount. Anyway, just giving my personal experience on this topic. Thanks,
Chris
Duuudde!!! This is the first time after a year of obsessing everything Tesla that someone FINALLY broke down the expectations when paying cash! 🙌🏼🤙🏼 thank you 💪🏼
Ordering Tesla as a company is even faster. I've got my VIN within a week before the M3P was even on the ship (Europe)
Nederland?
@@Elrobbo1968 Austria
I paid cash through the app and they did not pull the cash until the day AFTER I took delivery. I actually was worried that they did not get the money. It was just SO easy. The only weird thing for me was that they did not put a Texas State Inspection sticker on the car. Most new car dealers in Texas will give you a 2 year sticker. Tesla only gives 1 and it is through the mail. For me, no big deal.
How long typically between VIN and delivery? Got my VIN the same day I ordered my non-performance "highland" on May 16th, but delivery date keeps slipping. Currently June 1 - June 8.
It mainly depends on if your car needs to be shipped and how busy your delivery center is
Yeah, I have been just riding my bicycles all these years, and mom is old and cannot see well at night and gets baked in her Volvo during the summer, so she needs it for her short trips here and there and I will mostly use it to camp out in line at estate sales, so three hundred miles range maybe it needs to be charged every few months or so, the superchargers are by the Costco. The 0.99% interest, 12.4.1 being hands free which will be a huge help for my 81 year old not healthy mom, and actually wanting the stalks because mom would find that a bridge too far is why I put in my order. Though I would love the air conditioned seats.
Hey Jeremiah, looking forward to you getting your M3P. I just got mine Wednesday. I look forward to your content on it. I’m curious about thinks like plug deletes for the aero leafs. Also wondering about the screen protector. Is this new M3 P the same screen protector as the standard M3? I thought I heard or read the performance is bigger? Thanks,
Chris
How long does the vin usually take for it to arrive?
I stopped listening when he said it’s stupid if you don’t have home charging. Not everyone lives in a house bro. Get off your high horse
Not stupid but you'll be paying 3-4x more for supercharging than at a house. Supercharging might still be cheaper than gas
@@piggypooo Depends on where you live. Out here in California the Supercharger rate is $0.50 per KWH while my PG&E home rate is $0.42 per KWH.
@graykestrel5858 I'm Cali too. Los Angeles. Ladwp. Gotta look up rate now
I agree ppl think you should only get a Tesla to save money on gas but nah I just like the car
I can’t charge at home but i like the car and i have a great network to charge where i live. And actually is not difficult for me living without house charger. Will be good but not a deal breaker.
Delivery is Friday! Can’t wait
The 2024 Model 3 Tesla manual reads, "CAUTION; Do not apply a screen protector on the touchscreen. Doing so can result in unintended inputs to the touchscreen (phantom inputs), delayed response or unresponsiveness to touches, electrostatic discharge which can damage the touchscreen, etc. Any damage caused by installing a screen protector is not covered under warranty."
Whaaaaat???? That’s wild
That's very strange. I've had a screen protector on for a month and it's been great.
supercharger at night is cheaper the electric charge is sometime the same or little higher than home 80-90 charge
Not having home charging is the biggest mistake people make. I’ve seen so many people get turned off of EVs because they had to rely on the network to charge.
@theplanthashirasuper charging is always inconvenient. The lie you tell yourself doesn’t make it true. The only reason I got a Tesla was because I park and plug it in my garage every day. L take
@theplanthashiraright… just like not all war is tragic. Not all rape is evil. Not all nut shots are painful. Tell yourself whatever you need to in order to justify it but not home charging is Ludicrous… pun intended
Thank you for the video. Awaiting MY delivery in June. Question on your floor mats…to cover the entire MY I’ll need both the Floor Mat Kit and the Extended Kit correct?
How do you get the app to control the rgb light strip for the console?
I'm still trying to decide between the Federal Tax Credit Stealth Gray vs. Ultra Red! Gray is better for wrapping, will be hotter, but the Ultra Red looks so great.
You guys demanding people needing home charging if they own a Tesla are seriously weird. You’re like vegans telling other vegans how “not vegan” they are. Just chill. We are well aware of the numbers.
too bad the tax incentives are only for the stealth grey now for the model 3 performance, well, not that I can buy my tesla right now, since I'm waiting to get first get my driving lessons and then the drivers license.
Buying a $42k+ M3P when you already have a working vehicle is also stupid, but here we are. EV fan bois always treating their vehicles like it's an investment. Where the people at that just buy things, cause they want it.
I paid cash for my reengineered M3 LR in Phoenix AZ. They took care of registration and mailed it. For the payment I didn't need a cashier's check. I forgot the name of the app but you use it and it talks to your bank account. You put in your user name and ID for your bank everything is secure and if is scary how seem less of a process it was. I just put the amount and it was done Tesla gets the money and I get my car. What I didn't get was the hedgehog when I placed my order 😞😞 and I didn't even get a sign with my name in the car !!! Come on Tesla. The whole experience was lackluster and strange. Here I am buying my first Tesla and no one even acknowledged me for like 5 or 10 min I had to get someone. Disappointing for sure. But I love my car and I will only get Tesla from now on
NGL, I watched multiple Tesla vloggers on YT and by far your channel is my go to every time. Even after watching a similar video, I will go into your channel and search it. By far my favorite one is your to do checklist upon delivery. I plan on waiting at least until the 2025s arrive. But I have been watching your vids almost everyday just to get an idea of what to do and not to do, what to buy and not to buy, etc. Thanks for the vids JJ.
Question, Jeremiah - you mentioned Studio A in Louisville for PPF, do you have a good place in Louisville for tint? I’ve narrowed it down to three places of my own, but this is my first Tesla and basically wanna take it straight from the delivery center in Indy to get it tinted.
Thanks!
I think PPF is kind of a ripoff. Too expensive for the limited protection it offers.
I don’t plan on selling my Tesla for many years so protecting from tiny rock chips that are going to happen regardless isn’t all that important to me.
Jeremiah, from the time that you received your VIN to delivery, how long was it roughly? My estimated delivery is July 2nd to August 6th
If you did the pre-purchase task, can you go back and change payment to cash and get it faster, or will it still take as long as financing since the order has already been placed?
Holding off, we’ll see if it’s a good call. Fed data, supplier (lack of) demand from legacies (cheaper production for TSLA), inventory across sector, 8/8 news, end of year discounts…
I have a question is there a way to get an insurance quote on any Tesla because EVRYr company that I’ve checked won’t give me one without the vin and i live in Florida so Tesla insurance doesn’t work here ?
My delivery date changed 😢 it got pushed from June 6-20th to June 13-30th.
I think before you agree to the terms the day of delivery inspect the car and make sure everything is fine. Once you inspect, if everything is perfect accept the terms.
Thanks, you just discouraged me from buying a tesla, I live in an apartment
Look for a level 2 charger near your work.
My house is so old I would need to rewire my entire house just to support any type of charging even slow charging 💀
Totally agree if one has no access to some form of home charging (or charging at work), they should not run an EV.
good point regarding home charging but insurance is literally 4 times cheaper for teslas than ice cars in my country due to co2 taxes etc. so maintenance is still much cheaper
I ordered my Model3 and had a ViN a week later. This will be my second lease with Tesla
Jeremiah, I am still waiting on my vin # and Ali ordered 3 hrs when it hit Tesla’s website. As of today, it’s been switched 3x 🙄. Its saying July 3rd to August 8th 😡. Then I keep getting Tesla text messages to take delivery earlier for AWD or RWD. 🤦🏽♂️ Just give us our M3P !!
What state/country are you in? I ordered mine May 24th and its saying June 2024 for me.... Oof
Teslas aren’t just meant for homeowners. We’re in 2024 and most apartment complexes have EV charging. Some apts have private garages (mine does) and I own both 23 MYP and 23 Mach E GT and getting the new M3P ordered tomorrow. Never had an issue with charging or range anxiety. What a rude thing to tell people smh
?? I think apartment complexes with charging available would count as "home charging"
never knew about the cash trick..interesting
going to lease the Y and hand over that 3 yr old junker to elon in 2028
If my garage doesn’t have WiFi is that a problem ?
Wait how did they take off money from the purchase price
Is it too late if i ordered with the loan option? Can i change the order to pay in cash on the tesla app and get my delivery faster?
The financing is unrelated to the time it takes to take delivery of the car unfortunately
Picked up 2024 MYLR AWD in stealth gray today at Seattle. Drove from Seattle to Portland, where i live. I'm not sure if its the horrible roads or very bad suspension of the car, the drive was super bumpy. Not to mention the rattling noise from the vacant passenger seat belt. Coming from my Merc c300 the handling is quite stiff in MY. Guess i should have kept my hopes of quality ride pretty low with MY.
What wheel size did you get?
@@GiveMeLiberty2024 19"
Anyone still waiting on the “Credit decision” thats pending over 48 hours?
ME
My credit decision took about 5 seconds. I dont see why it would take that long. Did you get one already?
Thanks for clarifying. The VIN number designation takes quite a long time even though they claim to pop out Model Ys every 45 seconds. I completed all PRE-VIN steps on May 25, and still no VIN number has been assigned.
This is so helpful, thank you. Do you know how long do you have to back out of the trade?
is public charging really more expensive than gas? Damn, I regret ordering a tesla right now
It’s not
~75% of the time it is. It also depends on location just like gas. A supercharger in my area, where gas is $3.00, is roughly 35 cents/kwh. Cars of similar size (model 3) have roughly a 12 gallon tank vs ~78kwh battery. $36 to fill up, $28 to charge up. Whereas california, the per kwh costs is a lot more to better compare with the insane gas prices. Some supercharger stations tend to have “peak periods” where money can be saved but you have to go at a certain time.
There is a reason why tesla themselves recommends home charging for daily use and supercharging when road tripping.
its not more expensive
Depends the vehicle you have because my suv fills with 75 dollars I would pay 30 dollars all day and get work done while it’s charging. For those who aren’t home owners and have chargers near by should be fine. No need for home charging to be honest it is a plus obviously but not everyone wants to own a home.
Don't make the mistake of giving Elon Reeve more money
