Which size to get depends on your use. The 12.9” is certainly best used supported, be that on Magic Keyboard, stand, or on lap. For hand held use as tablet, then the 11” is the one to get. I have the 12.9” as I use as my main device and laptop replacement. Size and weight is no issue. I take with me everywhere travelling around the world, but carry in a briefcase. For me my iPhone Pro Max is my hand held device

Please do a screen test of both ipad air 4 and ipad pro 11inch 2021 , and please look up on these factors:-
1) is there any backlight bleeding
2) the red coloured tint on the edges of screen
I read somewhere that if you want an iPad that is mainly a tablet but sometimes a laptop then go with the 11. But if you want an iPad that is mainly a laptop and sometimes a tablet then go with the 12.9. Personally based off this I went with the 11 inch and MK.

To me, both of these options are primarily tablets, as long as Apple continues to cripple the software side. 12.9 is just a bigger, heavier and less portable tablet.

1) Nope, they don’t bend on their own with time. If you are a bit careless, then it might bend. The 12.9 inch might be a bit more sturdy this year as it gained a few extra pounds. But whatever it is, use a sturdy case, be a bit careful and you should be fine
2] Absolutely not. I found the XDR display very useful only when watching movies in dimly lit environments. The blacks and contrast is truly stunning. Apart from that, everything else, I did not notice any difference between XDR and non XDR screens.

I think 12.9 will be more useful for productivity. 11 inch tends to make me suffer more in multimedia and entertainment, because it is so small and i can hold by 1 hand. But for 12.9 , due to the weight , it mentally makes me more focus on what i am doing and easier to multitasking when 1 side is note taking and the other side for document.

Does iPad Pro 12” support 8k video?
I wish they did a plain 12” model instead of 12.9 or 11”. I feel like the 11 isn’t enough over the iPad Air and the 12.9 is too big to handle comfortably in “tablet mode”. I’ve just bought the 11 but I’m gonna take it to a store to compare to the 12.9 before my return window expires. Primarily used for mobile games, phone replacement and media. Maybe some light uni work and note taking.
Very true. Think the size difference isn’t much at all between 11 inch Pro and 10.9 Air .. wish they bump it by a tiny bit so it’s still portable with noticeable difference compared to the mid range Air and still be portable 😊

Yup, there is no way of ignoring that weight .. especially if you’ve always owned 11 inch iPad . And it only gets worse if you have both side by side like I do. It makes me reach out from my 11 inch Pro every time I’m using the iPad!

First of all .. congrats!! Getting into The MIT is something else .. well done you 👏🏻👏🏻 .. If you don’t have a laptop, I recommend the M1 MacBook Air .. it is an amazing device which is portable as well .. I have videos on my channel about that, you can check. Now if you already have a laptop and want to compliment the iPad to it, then I’d recommend the 11 inch M1 iPad Pro. It’s very easy to use anywhere and spending time with both the iPads, it made me realise how convenient the 11 inch size really is! Hope this helps 😊

what will you choose between Ipad Air 2020 vs Ipad Pro 12.9 2020 (discounted) vs Ipad Pro 11 2021 ? for light photo and video editing
My choice will always be the 11 inch screen size .. but like I mention in my video .. if you can put up with the compromises of the bigger screen or your workflow needs it.. then by all means go for the 12.9 size. And when it comes to the 2020 model, buy it only if you get a very good discount on it. At this point of time the 2021 M1 iPad Pro is a real good option and if you can extend your budget a bit.. go for that one.
Since most if not all ipad apps cant fully utilize the 16gb ram in the 1/2TB version. Do you think getting the 512gb on 8gb ram is a good idea?
Sure... I really don't see Apple bringing major changes to iPadOS any time soon that would make use of the 16GB RAM fully! 8GB is plenty from the iPad and everything runs as smooth as butter!

Coming to the iPad size .. I really felt using the smaller size more convenient in any location. Plus the screen is decent enough for Pro video editing apps. So unless you really want a bigger canvas, the 11 inch will be ideal.
Great review. I found out quite early in tech that when it comes to tablets the iPad rules. I say this having used some other brands as well. But I have never bought myself a 12.9 till date and was contemplating on doing so this time with all of Apple’s hype about the display. But I guess I will take your advice and go for the 11 inch one once again.
Just one question - I generally use my iPad resting it on my lap with my legs stretched in front resting on a stool as most Indians habitually do. So will the 12.9 be cumbersome even if I used it resting on my lap? Just curious. Keep up the good work, you’re doing a great job.

And coming to using the 12.9 inch Pro on your lap, it is not as bad as say a laptop but if you compare it with the 11 inch then you will defiantly feel the extra weight and size. In all my usage scenarios, away from desk, I felt the 11 inch to be much more comfortable. So you need to decide between portability and that amazing bigger screen, like I mentioned in my videos .. movie watching experience on the bigger one is much more involved. But at the cost of portability! So please base your decision considering these points 😊😊

I’d pick the 11 inch any day. For me portability is quite important on an iPad .. only wish they offered the XDR display in the smaller size too!
I want to learn how to draw and usually I had references on the side multi task screen so i go for 12.9, still kinda makes me wonder how portable the 11 one is, but for my eye comfiness, its great! Its fun to watch movies and reading comics too. If you are kind of worried about the weight for media consuming in bed, get a portable folding table and feel the wonder lololol(and a trifold case while youre at it) There is a rumor about it being more bendy then 11 but some users said it is false rumor- but just in case PLEASE GET a durable case okie, or if you are only getting the folio case, please take care of it like its your baby ^^

Yes, I did .. but I bought it within minutes of Pre-orders going live here in the UK .. so I got it on launch day itself. For some 12.9 inch models, even here the date is now showing as 13-27 July!

Every country has got different discount system. Here in the UK, you get the discount if you show your students union or uni ID card .. or buy it from a uni network. You need to check how it is in your country .. maybe call your local Apple store or head over to the one in the Dubai Mall .. Apple really picked the best spot in the mall .. you get the best views of the fountain down below from the store 😀😀😊😊
I was bought an 11 pro 256 by my wife for Christmas , and just been tearing my hair out over whether to swap to the 12.9, but I’ve come to the same conclusion. Exactly as you are reporting. I too have a MacBook and phone .. 13 pro… so the iPad is really about portability… for when a large device isn’t needed. I also have a surface which rarely leaves the desk as it is really too big. It’s just a smaller laptop. A 12.9 iPad would be the same especially as it calls for a larger keyboard.
So 11 with the same ear case.. or I may get the Apple Smart Keyboard cover as it is also fairly thin and light, just lacking somewhat in protection…

What is the highest video resolution you can watch on the 11 inch ? Would love to watch more than 1080P
You can watch up to 2.5k resolution .. so it will be better than 1080p and considering the distance at which you’d use the iPad .. the screen looks gorgeous 😊

I got the 12.9/2TB/Cellular but then returned it and got the 11/2TB/Cellular, due to the portability factor.
To me, the mini-LED is just a stop-gap arrangement, a bridge solution, till they can get to an OLED type panel, while the display on the 11Pro is mature/proven technology. The hardware is not the iPAD Pro's problem, the problem is the software, where Apple has let us down, by keeping it crippled.

I think iPad Pros will never get OLED.
@@samuelmanny6231 the OLEDs may never arrive, but the micro-LEDs might. Some of the challenges of OLED have been solved, when it comes to micro-LEDs, even though at the moment it is cost-prohibitive. The mini-LEDs are pure bridge technology, essentially a hack-job, and will not stay on for too long.
@@ak4939 dude...even the problems in OLED has not been solved esp for devices that has to sustain high brightness for hours using apps with many static images to be used on lit environments. The 12.9'' microLED will cost at least 15,000 USD using ratio and proportion of current cost. What I know is the smaller the panel the higher the cost so you only see big MicroLED panels...and one broken microLED is a big issue and will damage other microLED too. OLED has been expensive for more than a decade now. It might take at least 50 years before microOLED get a little bit less expensive.

Without a doubt, the M1 is a superior chip. It’s based on 5 nanometer technology and if you have been following tech news lately, it is blowing away the competition!! However, it is a total overkill for an iPad even with iPadOS 15.

You pretty much get Apple claimed numbers .. about 10 hours of web surfing and watching videos.
I love the 12.9 inch. It’s still just as portable as the 11 inch to me and I never find myself in a situation to where I wish I had gotten the 11 inch.

M1 this year seems like a gimmick after iPadOS 15 brought nothing new to the Pro line.
Think it would be better if companies stop upgrading every year … especially when they don’t have anything substantial to add. The last years lineup of Pro and Air 4 would have gone for 2 more years without the need of any updates.
