for those who are browsing and wondering whether to get 256gb or more, I got the 2017 iPhone with 256 and has lasted me 5 years before I ran out of memory (and I do not use the cloud). I have 45k files on my photo app, which takes up 192gb of space. A lot of that can be cleaned, and backed up elsewhere before getting to the 5 year mark lol. Of course, I don't know how much space it takes for those who want to do 3D modelling with the iPad. If you're going for that, then I'd say 512gb if you can afford it. cheers!
My thoughts exactly on how can something size of notebook paper be too big? Some of these reviews make it out like definitely will need to hire a crane to move it around. Great review!
I liked your video! You've convinced me that iPad 12.9 can be used as portability. I am now close to finalizing my decision. My use case is just for media consumption, playing games, browsing, and of course, drawing. I plan on learning how to draw digitally. I intend to take it everywhere I go, as I rely on my devices. I've got one question if it's not too late - how is it on a couch for a drawing?
Omg can I just say though, I had yet seen anyone comparing the 12.9 to a macbook pro 13.3 which I still sometimes do so I can see how whether it’s too big. Even then it’s still smaller bc a college ruled paper is smaller than the macbook pro 13. I got the 11 and maybe next time I will get the 12.9. You hit perfectly the points I was thinking that the 12.9 isnt too big like a food tray like some said it to be. They should make a 12 or 12.5 to end everything and my OCD of wanting both lol. Great video
i was al ready to drop the ball and get the i pad pro 11 at the apple store, i opened procreate which is what a plan to use with my i pad , that and video creation and for showing off my art work, well even though the 12.9 comes with a Hefty price i think now, i would be happier with the larger screen, i like that u have just a little more canvas for a broader brush stroke, i have the mbp 2017 15 inch but i want to experience using an stylus directly on screen as opposed to the Wacom tablet and having to be chained to my mbp hopefully i don't talk myself out of it cause of the high price of the 12.9
May I ask what storage size you chose or recommend? Thanks. The new ipad pro 12.9 has mini led, so I already decide on 12.9, but wondering whether I should go 256 or 512gb (1 and 2 tb are just too expensive..though 16gb ram would be nice to have)
Agreed that RAM, wow! I'm still deciding on a size myself. I'm going for 12.9 too. I may just end up going with the 256 gb because I am an avid user of the Cloud. I'll certainly have videos coming soon all about the new iPad Pro 2021!
I got the 12.9 2tb 2021. Just so that ion have to care about storage running out. But i think should have gone with the 1tb version as i upgrade every year so basically keep in mind your time of usage too and how often you upgrade it or will upgrade it in future. And you'll find the right choice
8 want to get one for drawing and for note taking so go to the store and see what is the difference and what you should get so see the screen what would works best for you and you get it so yah😉😊😊😊
I chose the 11” iPad Pro because I wanted something light and portable because I already had a 15.6” Lenovo Yoga laptop. I also wanted the Logitech Folio Touch keyboard case for it as well and they only make it for the 11” iPads. I personally felt like the 12.9” would’ve been too big for me even though there are times I wish I had a slightly bigger screen. Great video! Can you do a review on the TomToc case on the 11”?
Kirstin, you are my favourite youtuber ❤ I really admire you!! Thank you so much for taking the time to film, edit and finding relaxing music 💛 You are my idol!!
I had the 12.9. The tablet at this size feelt big to me. It is great if you wanna do your things on a desk ,but the 11inch is king if you wanna hold it on your hands and read something. I thoght it would work for me as a replacement to my laptop, but that did not work well. This year I'm getting that 11 inch after gifting my 12.9 yo my brother. I remembered the aspect ratio as well, if you compared it to the 11 you will notice you're almost losing nothing of the view screen compared to 12.9 sense 12.9 is wide and those edges are out of the picture. So it doesnt count really.
@@oliwaaa7982 You're better off with M1 or M2 Macbook at that price. There is those little annoying things. it feels like its always missing something for the tasks you need from the complete software on things like word and excel. It was never as fluent as a laptop. Still, It was long time ago though. I cant specifically remember why ,but I do remember that I really regret that decision. Maybe it was that time when I was trying to practice on front end programming or how heavy it becomes when you add the extra keyboard and utilities like extensions to add a usb or an SD card reader. that one port is annoying when you feel like charging your phone at the same time. I used to use my laptop for things like this especially if im on the go. I believe it was mostly the os restriction which made me always trying to find away around things that it could be done directly using a laptop. If I would redo it. I will buy a laptop like M1 or M2 with an ipad Air for the stylus and the chill time reading emails, browsing, taking notes, gaming on the go. I am sure I wont get a 12.9 inch tablet again ,except if im going exclusively into professional art.
@@xila8861 but for me it’s only for note taking and school stuff, not for really programming. I wanted to but the iPad cause on the MacBook you don’t have the app word and PowerPoint, which on a iPad you have. It’s useful for when you don’t have wifi. And on the iPad I can write my notes and type and on a MacBook I can only type. Pfff I am really doubting, but maybe you’re right. From other people I also hear that it’s better to buy an computer, but then they say I better not buy a MacBook but a Microsoft computer, cause MacBooks are not good for school. Thank you for your opinion😊
@@oliwaaa7982 You can have full microsoft office applications on mac. The full Micorosoft word and Powerpoint experiance. For school and writing homeworks you will always need a laptop. Also there is a lot of limitations on ipad for school on websites that doesnt support the ipad ios browser. If you really love taking note I still suggest you to go with ipad Air with a macbook M1 or M2. you cannot find a better laptop at the that price atm. I am a windows laptop user having surfacebook 2 since windows laptops was better than mac when they used to have intel chips. After M1 chip it just crushed the intel/amd laptops market. You can do a lot with a very good price and you can have the most major software on mac like adobe packs. It is a great choice atm and I would buy one if i was on the market for a new laptop. You have a choice between windows laptop or a mac, but trust me just do not waste all your money on an ipad and expect it to be enough for school. even if it offers that stylus experiance you like. you can get the lowest varient ipad and you have a good note taking experiance on addition for a serious machine like a laptop. If you're an apple products user. Macbook M1 will make a lot of sense for you.
I am considering purchasing the iPad for school, I'd like to take all my notes digitally to stay organized. I am so stuck between these two sizes. Initially, I was without a doubt going to go with the 11 inch but I am planning on using it to multitask, I'm worried the 11 inch will be too crammed. Which would do you recommend?
(Idk if you got one yet but:) I want one mainly to draw with so i'll probably go for the 12.9, for extra comfort, but it essentially depends on whether you have money to burn or not. I think the 11inch is still very good, lots of friends of mine work with the smaller model and are very satisfied! Keep in mind that at the end it really just comes down to your own needs and how you feel about it, what I'm looking for might not be what you are! Good luck finding what's right for you
