Smith to Carter...TOUCHDOWN MICHIGAN!!! Watching this gave me chills, I was 6 years old again! Ty for posting. GO BLUE!!
Gerry Faust vs Bo Schembechler- what could possibly happen?
Bo didn't care for Gerry.
Never gets old beating noter shame
Notre dame football so arrogant;; they thought they too good to play Michigan football until Jim Harbaugh coach Michigan football team beat notre dame:::::however great fight song
@@lloydkline1518 they couldn't beat brady hoke with a 25 point lead in the 3rd how he's still there is amazing
After the Game; Bo Schembechler said; " THAT was the Worst Prepared Team i've ever seen. "
Giving notre dame football the beat down in Ann arbor Michigan;; Michigan football & bo schembecher
1981 was the year being ranked No.1 was a curse.
The week before Michigan was No.1 and No.2 Alabama both lost.
Notre Dame was No. 1 in this game and got shellacked by Michigan. The next week Purdue best ND by one point.
Schembechler beat up No. 1 Miami in Ann Arbor in 1984 22-14, and almost beat the Hurricanes again in 1988.
@kazbo1 Why, Notre Dame did of course. The only school arrogant enough to hire a coach based on his dominance coaching high school football.
My first ND game age 12 sat in the endzone in shock and awe of the size of this stadium. Wept bitter tears as the Irish fell. ND v. Mich always a great game. GO IRISH!
ramjam, my 1st ND game the renewal of the series in '78, Leach vs Montana down at your place, and my brother & I also sat in the endzone, LITERALLY, the demand for tickets was so great in your "Little House" (61k seat copy of the Big House, now up to 80k) that they built temporary bleachers a few rows high on the field itself in the back of the endzones!
We drove from A2 w/o tix, bro got tired, couldn't keep eyes open but thought we didn't have time to pull over since running late & needing time to find tix from scalpers, he REFUSED to pull over on highway & had me climb over bench seat into the back while he slid overkkeeping hand on wheel while I climbed into driver seat!!!! we didn't die!
looking for tix in absolute crush of swirling mosh pit outside stadium, bro a few ft away, back turned, all of a sudden big guy in a suit is squeezing past me, brushed against me, I look up & see it's Joltin' Joe fucking Dimaggio, Mr. Coffee!!! (from MY Yankees!) I grabbed bro, DAVID! LOOK!!! haha!
What a day!
Down 14 -7 at half, Leach 3 TD passes in 2nd for the win! GO BLUE!
The great Keith Jackson. Icing on the cake.
@kazbo1 Michigan just got over having their own Gerry Faust :/
This is happens when Notre Dame's luck runs out and you have to play with skill you get exposed !!!!!!!!!! This was the #1 ranked team in the country ???????????????
@WolverineHistorian Notre Dame used to beat up on local high school teams when they first started out over 100 years ago,not sure if they won them all
Dan Devine couldn't have done any worse on this day. Not saying they win, but they might have gotten more than 7 points
Dan Devine was an excellent coach who was never appreciated by the fans of Notre Dame.
@@villanovakid84 Devine had the unenviable task of following a legend.
This is where it all started to unravel for Faust. ND never should have hired him. The so-called "Bold Experiment" was a total bust.
