- Down 20-16 in the 3rd Quarter, Michigan finishes the game on a 22-0 run.
There is some footage missing from my copy of this game. The Anthony Carter reverse TD is not included so I threw the clip in from the video, 'The Schembechler years.' Also, the second Steve Smith TD is joined in progress mid-run, so the footage looks a little funky for a few seconds.
Game played on October 10, 1981 at Spartan Stadium

Was this televised by PASS Sports (Now known as Fox Sports Detroit)? I am only asking because the color analyst sounds an awful lot like Jim Brandstatter (sp? Sorry if I misspelled his name and also if I got his first name wrong; As you may well know, I am a Domer).
+Randy Dubin The station was called 'On Sports,' which was a local telecast in the late 70's/early 80's for Michigan games against any opponent not named ND, OSU or the bowl game. These games were trimmed down to fit a two hour time slot and then aired on a tape delay basis after the 11:00 news on Saturday nights. And yes, the color commentator is Jim Brandstatter.
Hi there, I am a content producer looking for Michigan college football to license for a TV project. Do you know who owns the rights to this footage?
Not sure about this but I think 1981 MSU quarterback Bryan Clark is the son of former Detroit Lion coach Monte Clark?
Really; did not know that;; Monte Clark was head detroit lions coach back when played quarterback
Michigan State was better than given credit for this season. Program improved when George Perles took over.
1978 coaches Roger won 🏆 the big ten football championship ; but didn't count
Michigan state university should offer Mark dantonio if he wants his old job back at Michigan state university head 🏈 coach
Any chance you can find video of the 1975 game?
I've heard that it was on ABC. But so far, I've never been able to find a copy.
I got video of 1978 legendary game Michigan state football vs Michigan football ???
Chris VanPelt? Is he in any way related to Brad VanPelt, still the only defensive player in the two-platoon era (Since 1964) to win the Maxwell Award in what is generally considered to be the most shocking and most unexpected upset in the history of the Maxwell Award? (BTW, before all you Michigan fans come in saying, 'Hey, Charles Woodson won the Maxwell Award in '97, No, no no, no, Peyton Manning won both the Maxwell and the Walter Camp Awards that year. So, um, yeah.)
*Michigan fans who don't know, sorry. God damn the fact that I can't edit comments on my phone.
There is not a human being alive today that has witnessed Michigan beat OSU more times than they've lost. Doesn't matter if you were born in the 1910s, 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, or 2000s. Your Michigan team has a losing record against OSU. THAT IS SAD!
Not true. Michigan has an all time winning record against OSU, 58-51-6
@@cubkid82 I think you need to reread the comment and let it digest before you spout off a fact that everyone has been told ad nauseam.
@@robertford5195 people have watched Michigan dominate ohio state back to back years the last two seasons
This was a disappointing season for Michigan.Didn't build on momentum from previous year.
Does Mark dantonio want his old job back at Michigan state university head football coach???
Man, these Biden commercials are truly annoying.
