I can’t wrap my head around the fact that you completed it in one day. That’s such a feat. It took me 11 and I was proud of that hahaha. Honestly I had to take breaks and physically step away from the book at times. Not sure that I’d tell people to go read it but it’s definitely a favourite of mine.
Just finished reading this book. I cried more the past couple days than I have in the past two years.... genuinely heartbroken. It was such a beautiful read though
Brilliant review, you described what I struggled to do, that it's the way that the supporting characters lived and struggled with the events affecting the ones they love...so well written too
I read this book in the beginning of this year after having it in my shelf since 2017... Lets say I'm glad I read it when i did and not earlier. It certainly is a heavy read but it also is such a beautiful story. I know some people think that it is overly wordy but I love that and totally agree with you about the character-descriptions. Reading it fast is probably the best option honestly, for me it took all my awake time and even concentrating in school became almost impossible. I am already contemplating reading it again since i can't find any other book like it but I think it will have to wait
I found this book SO emotional. It actually took me a month to read, as I found it so hard to digest jude’s story. But it’s such a wonderful but harrowing read. Loved this vlog 💛
I'm almost at part three. I haven't cried yet but I do have to say it's written so so beautifully. I might be a bit more used to hearing devastating stories like this one or worse because I'm a social worker myself but I sure can imagine this book is devastating if you are sensitive or new to the subjects Jude and the other characters are dealing with. Loved your video ❤️
Ah, that's really interesting but totally makes sense as I guess its something that you have to be slightly more desensitised to! Thanks so much for watching!
The fact that you finished this in 24 hours!!!! I started this last year but couldn’t quite handle the edition it came in because it was really uncomfortable to read on for me, but now I really want to go back to it, I remember the characters were really lovable 🥺 I’m glad you enjoyed it, even through the pain and tears haha x
Wow! Impressive. Also I adore the time lapse of you crying, 2 real. This book destroyed me. I had to take a month long break from reading fiction. I feel like I carry Jude around with me now.
I really like the way you talk about books and explain things.. I'm currently reading this specific book. It's gonna take a while because I'm a 35 yo mom to a 3.5 yo girl that is experiencing sleep regression so I don't have much time to read anymore.. but I'm on page 273 and loving it so far..

I bought this book and I'm a bit afraid to read it!
Watching your vlog is making me feel like I have a heart of stone hahahah - loved collaborating again!! Definitely agree that the interactions and relationships are so well developed. Some of the best connections I've ever read about!
omg no! I'm just an emotional wreck ahah! It was so great to collab again - especially on this book! But yeah, the connections and relationships were, by far, the best part of the book!
I live in the US and have 2 paperback copies (one is a signed copy), 1 hard copy (signed edition as well) and the audiobook version as well That's just how much this book had an impact on me and how much i love this story... Right now, i'm re-reading some parts of the book, just jumping around my favorite parts and just reliving the moments of Jude's life with his friends, his traumas and the effects of those traumas in his life not because i find joy in reading about people mentally and emotionally struggling but because this story is so moving and something about the way the author wrote this book keeps pulling me in.. 😭 I would LOVE to get this book cover version though.. although idk where i could get one tho since it's a British book cover 😭
Read it in four excruciating days. Terrifying in many ways. Thank God I finished it and I can pull away from it. I wanted something compelling and gripping, and I certainly got it, didn't I....
@@boo-9348 It didn’t really matter to me how long I will be reading it, I had to take breaks because the content of the book was so emotionally exhausting
I certainly fancy some hot chocolate now. xD I have always been afraid of this book, I think it's gonna have some huge triggers for me. So... I guess this video didn't really help. :D
WHOA! I just reached 14:11 of your vid and i haven't read the book yet--were you gonna give a spoiler ?? I don't wanna watch the rest if you do lollll Please let me know! @Ciara Foster
I don’t give any specific spoilers but I do talk generally about my thoughts on the book etc. Although it’s not any spoilers, if you really don’t want to know anything about the events of the book, I’d maybe wait to watch until you’ve read the book!
Hi - I’d say no! It’s very adult in its themes and could be very disturbing! I’d wait until you’re at least 18 and then have a look at info about the themes before deciding whether to read or not!
Ooh, it’s been so long since I filmed this vlog, remind me which bit you mean? And hahah, I just never have used bookmarks, I don’t think my mum does so I never did and have just always folded the pages! Nothing against book marks of course, they’re just not my habit!
Oh yeah ahah, I remember now! My mum spent a few days in France but the flight between Paris and where I am in the UK is about 90 minutes so she picked up the bread before getting on the flight and then brought it home for me! If it makes you feel any better, I do own bookmarks, I just forget to use them😂
That sounds delicious! Going to Europe is on my bucket list and consuming every kind of bread I can get my hands on is very high on that specific list haha. Girl, the simple possession of said bookmarks does not make me feel better lol.

Man I finished it in three days I couldn’t imagine ONE that would’ve ruined me more than it already did
hahah - it was an emotional ROLLERCOASTER to say the least!

I am terrified of u... how could u undertake such a task
it was a bold choice, that's for sure!
I'm in the middle of this book right now and I have to put it down because it's so difficult to read. I love it though.
I can totally understand why, it is great but definitely a difficult read!
Right thats what i tried to sa....y
I found this book SO emotional. It actually took me a month to read, as I found it so hard to digest jude’s story. But it’s such a wonderful but harrowing read. Loved this vlog 💛
I totally felt like I needed to decompress after finishing this story because it was SO emotional and intense but I did love it! Thank you Jaz!x

It was an intense 24 hours haha! It really was such an emotional book, but the characters were so well developed, I loved it! x
I'm a bit scared to read this book 🙈 loved this vlog as always!! 💕
Haha, I was too! Definitely a difficult one to read, but I really loved it/the characters! Thanks Mary!x
Wow! Impressive.

This book destroyed me. I had to take a month long break from reading fiction. I feel like I carry Jude around with me now.
hahah this book destroyed me - such an impactful read!
Thanks a lot for the reading footages! That's why I love your reading vlogs!
Thank you - I'm so glad you enjoy them!
This book is on my TBR for 2021, but I'm so scared to read it😳
Me too. I’m terrified and in a weird way excited

You should try your tea with a spoon of sweetened condensed milk! It’s my favorite way to drink black tea, especially Earl Grey
Oooh interesting, I’ll give that a try if I can find a vegan condensed milk!
i started it yesterday and i read up until part 2. i felt my eyes water a bit but i didnt cry yet like im anticipating whats gonna happen!!!😥😫
I haven'tread this book, but I cried watching this video. Hugs

I love your reading vlogs - they are so comfy and filled with hot drinks. And there is also a lot of reading which is perfect :D
Aw thank you so much!

@Exotic Subliminals it is a heavy book as heavy as they say, I wouldn't recommend if you dont want a mental toll
I loved that book so much even tho it was emotionally hard. 5 stars
It was such an emotional experience but definitely 5 stars
I’m at page 700 and I love it so much! Can’t wait to finish
Love the mug !!
Loved watching this, I am tempted to buy this book.
Thank you - I'd definitely recommend it!
well, I definitely need to pick up A Little Life now! It looks like it's a fantastic book :)
wow... this book took me a whole year to read, I literally had to take weeks long brakes from this book
If ur going to read a long book you probably shouldn’t do that since it’s a bit harder for it to finish no offense
@@boo-9348 It didn’t really matter to me how long I will be reading it, I had to take breaks because the content of the book was so emotionally exhausting
I read that book . How long have you cried?
It’s been 2 months now and I am still have not finished it
Helloooo, could you recommend more books like these? emotionally destroying?
Can someone time stamp me the part where the crying starts?
Hey. Just a suggestion. If you kept your eyes open while talking, it would feel more like you're talking to us than to yourself.
Love your vids
haha, totally something I do/did unconsciously- will try and be more aware
oh no! i haven’t even watched and i’m already concerned for you!! were you okay after reading this in 24hrs, cause i know i wouldn’t be!!!
hahaha - I am okay but it was certainly an emotional 24 hours!
It took me 6 months, but I’m not an extreme reader, loved it tho
💔

hot chocolate is always a good idea! And yeah, definitely be cautious because it does deal with some very intense stuff!

You are so beautiful! You remind me of Rory from Gilmore girls!
Aww thank you so much - I love Rory so that's such a lovely compliment!
HI, im 16, should i read it?
Hi - I’d say no! It’s very adult in its themes and could be very disturbing! I’d wait until you’re at least 18 and then have a look at info about the themes before deciding whether to read or not!
You’re able to just take a day trip to France?! Or did I misheard that...?
Second, I’m sure you get this a lot, but why don’t you use bookmarks?
Ooh, it’s been so long since I filmed this vlog, remind me which bit you mean? And hahah, I just never have used bookmarks, I don’t think my mum does so I never did and have just always folded the pages! Nothing against book marks of course, they’re just not my habit!
The baget (sp?) scene. I thought I heard you say, your mom just went to France and brought it back for you.
Your lack of bookmarks make me sad lol.
