I remember I read all of the books in 4th grade, withing the span of 3 weeks (I could have done it faster but our school library had a limit of books you could check out at a time). All of my friends started it, but none read past book 3. I remember I loved them and my librarian was just slightly worried about my wellbeing after that. But I really want to reread them now that I'm older and have more life experience, etc. Also I don't really remember all of the books that well and it would just be interesting. Good job btw, you aced it!

Wait! I thought they answered the sugar bowl? Cause I remember that in the sugar bowl was an immunization from the Medusoid or whatever it was called and it was stored in the sugar bowl by the Bauldelaire's parents. IDK WHY I REMEMBER THIS lmao
i’ve never come across your channel before, but im so glad i have! these books were my favourite when i was little and it makes me so happy to see someone else so excited about them
No h8 to Daniel Handler BUT I listened to the Tim Curry audio books as a kid (oddly enough I didn't know that was the UK version, I'm in the US and those were the tapes we had at the library, haha) I treasure those memories and his excellent voice acting like soooo deeply in my heart. Love this series 😊♥️♥️♥️
My dream would be to collect the original hardback set of this series. Just looking at the set in my school library back then satified my soul every time.
God I love these books so much! It made me extremely suspicious of every adult I've ever met but it did expand my vocabulary too😂 I met him once and got my copy of "The Composer is Dead" signed. Ahh memories! Have you had a chance to look through The Beatrice Letters? Or Snicket's Autobiography? Extremely fascinating and provide so much more info on Snicket himself as a character and the world he's created.
I grew up with the books as well, and read all of them at least twice by the end of junior high, but for some odd reason I could never (and still dont really) remember from The Grim Grotto onwards. Like I had a good memory up until The Carnivorous Carnival, where I started to remember only bits and pieces of it and the following book. It's so weird how I can't remember. I know what happens now because I've watched the netflix series, even though I'm aware that they changed a lot lol.
I read the series a few years ago,the lack of answers really got to me and I didn’t end up enjoying them. So glad you did! I’m totally inspired to do a 24 hour Readathon, but I just don’t think I have the stamina... well done!

I remember I was about to go to sleep myself and I was like 'hun, sleep is the best. go and sleep'. ahaha wonderful video and great editing, but please take care of your body. Towards the end, I felt sad because you did look so very tired and the amount of sugar intake you had to have was so high I was nervous.
If you need some more conclusion to the story, you should see the netflix series! The ending is much more clear as to what happened after the end and yes... it does answer what's in the sugar bowl
that video made me feel soo nostalgic! I just all of a sudden remembered the name of my favorite childhood book and i just bought it of amazon. It is literally 1am rn. I am in the middle of the finals week. But i still gotta say it: Thank you cant wait to read that book when it arrives!💕💕🥰

I always found the ending of this series so moving, I don't know why. These books touch my soul. I read them as they came out and I will always love them! I'm amazed that you did this!
I can't quite believe I did it either! That's so lovely that you read them all as they were coming out.
I was absolutely obsessed with them when they came out- I think because it had a happy/sad ending that was melancholic but satisfying in a way, but left so many questions it keeps you thinking about it. I remember reading the 13th book in the playground and the whistle went to signal the end of lunch and I was ready to cut throats as I was at a critical part of the book 😄
First video of yours that I've watched and I bloody loved this. Laughed out loud so many times. Gonna go on an Emma video binge now.
Yayyyyy welcome
I remember reading those back in 3rd grade and can remember how fun they are
HAHA I forgot my image was the VFD logo... see... more evidence how much I love them :D And 13 is my favorite number and each of the 13 books having 13 chapters (except The End having 14) just makes me love it even more :D
hahahahah love this
The end chapter 14 has 13 pages
Your avatar is a Very Fine Distinguisher, my good sir, madame, or enby. :)
I never thought I'd enjoy a video of someone reading all day, but you're so funny and I love your little asides which keep the video going. I'm so glad UA-cam recommended you to me :)
So many things I love. Lemony Snicket, your dog, watching people read & drink tea. This vlog is so calming!! And it makes me so happy to see you taking care of yourself while doing reading challenges :)
OMG you're so lovely! ASOUE is my favorite childhood books, the mistery goes growing over and over! The Penultimate Peril is the best of all to me and I don't know how you managed to read such a complicated book after 22 hours reading hahaha
(sorry any mistakes on my english I'm brazilian)
this feat was so unbelievable I had to tell ppl about it in my real life just bc I couldn't believe what I'd witnessed 😂 you rocked this challenge!
Haha omg thank you so much!
Go girl!! My favorite book was the one where they went to the boarding school. You’re making me want to read the books again!!
I just freaking died at 23:28. It's like 10 pm here and I'm laying in my bed and just cackling
I was thinking about how satisfying your new balancing the books is gonna be for the whole half an hour. Congrats!
Little Canovas ugh unfortunately none of these were actually counted on my TBR in the first place so this will make zero difference!
my favorite book series since i was a kid and is 90% of my personality but ive never read to the end. I think im going to do the same and read them all in like a week or so 🖤
I recommend watching the Netflix adaptation of the series , it’s very true to the books and it answers some of the unanswered questions
i would legit struggle this much or more just to read one book in 24 hours. im such a slow reader. good work!!
You motivated me to go and get ice cream and coffee to stay up and do homework. Thank you for helping me make good decisions because it was really good ice cream.
Can’t go wrong with ice cream!
I had the exact same reaction at the end when I first read it! Congrats on such an amazing accomplishment!
Thank you! I’m still exhausted haha
I loved these books as a kid, especially because of how he described the definitions of words. I'm going back home at the end of the month and I think I may grab those books to give them a reread
Yes those were my favourite parts too!
Oh you should definitely reread and see what you think now!
Well done, Emma! Sorry that you didn’t get enough sleep, but you are a true legend! Now I feel like my dream to finally start this series is destined to come true, I’ve already checked my library and ordered the first two books. Feel truly excited!
Thank you for this wonderful vlog, your videos always make me smile.
Aaaah exciting I hope you enjoy them!
Bingeing your videos the whole morning instead of reading... oops. I love your content! That bit where you listened to the audiobook while cooking is really nice. Lots of love x
Haha I know I spend so much time watching booktube too instead of actually reading!
Ah I’m so glad I found this, because I watched the show and movie and loved them, I found out there were books and immediately added it to my cart
Omigosh! Just a few days ago, I was talking to my fiance that I wanted to buy the whole series and read it all in one sitting. It was a challenge he found ridiculous but you made it!
😂
I never read ASOUE until I was I think 20 and I finished them last year when I was 22 and I loved it, the first ones were repetitive but I like how the story evolved into multiple mysteries and all the places the children would go to
Agreed!
Wait! I thought they answered the sugar bowl? Cause I remember that in the sugar bowl was an immunization from the Medusoid or whatever it was called and it was stored in the sugar bowl by the Bauldelaire's parents. IDK WHY I REMEMBER THIS lmao
Femalehemingway apparently that’s what happens in the TV show?
i’ve never come across your channel before, but im so glad i have! these books were my favourite when i was little and it makes me so happy to see someone else so excited about them
I loved this series
I love listening to you read lines from it? Your voice fits the whole vibe of the series so well? I could see you as a character lowkey
OMG A SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS IS LITERALLY MY LIFE. I AM OBSESSED!
I’m so glad this was recommended to me!! Loved the vid. You are a trooper
Yay!! Congrats! That’s awesome! I actually read the whole series but I was absolutely completely frustrated on the ending too!
I never read books much anymore and you're giving me the motivation to read and I wanted you thank you!
God I love these books so much! It made me extremely suspicious of every adult I've ever met but it did expand my vocabulary too😂
I met him once and got my copy of "The Composer is Dead" signed.
Erin Corcoran the only thing i remember from the Grim Grotto was that i hated it lmao
@@kathleenh2782 Oh really? I don't think I liked it that much either, but i'm not sure lol
I read the series a few years ago,the lack of answers really got to me and I didn’t end up enjoying them. So glad you did! I’m totally inspired to do a 24 hour Readathon, but I just don’t think I have the stamina... well done!
I don’t really have the stamina either I can’t believe I survived it!
I'm just here to say that I voted for you to go to sleep on your IG story.
Hahah it was a once in a lifetime experience, I usually go to bed at like 9.30 and look after myself like a little old lady 👵
If you need some more conclusion to the story, you should see the netflix series! The ending is much more clear as to what happened after the end and yes... it does answer what's in the sugar bowl
Now I totally want to reread TSOUE. It was also a huge part of my childhood 😂
that video made me feel soo nostalgic! I just all of a sudden remembered the name of my favorite childhood book and i just bought it of amazon. It is literally 1am rn. I am in the middle of the finals week. But i still gotta say it: Thank you cant wait to read that book when it arrives!💕💕🥰
Nellis Edits aaaaaah what was the book
Drinking By My Shelf I don’t know if the Author used to be that big in the UK or the US as it was in Germany, but the book is called Stardust - Magic by Moonlight by Linda Chapman
Seeing this concept made me delve into your channel. Love these 24 hour reading a whole series videos. They've all been series I loved growing up too! Such wonderful videos ❤
You are a super hero of reading, I can't read a single book a day... Well done!
