    Thank you for sharing. I glad Fisker able solve the problem. I'm worry. What happened if Fisker no longer in business. That is scary.

    I thought the MKBHD review was devastating and then I saw this…,😅. Just kidding. Thanks for sharing this valuable information. One would think Fisker would email all owners with instructions to address issues like this.

    This happen to me once. All I did to fix it was use the phone app to put California mode on and I walked up to the car and press the unlock button on the side of the car. Then I sat in the drivers seat and put on my set belt and put the key fob back on the NFC reader and started the car.

      It happened to me twice on v 1.11. The second time I was in a store for only about a minute. I timed it and at the hour mark it was awake again. But for anyone that it happens to don't panic and assume 12 volt. Wait the hour. I would say most people have 2.0 now, so less people calling with issues = less wait times.

    I did the same thing, car wouldn’t wake, no fob, no NFC, no APP; but, the trunk opened. Long story short, the car alarm blares every 28 seconds and there is no where to turn it off. I opened the front hood, and at the direction of a Fisker service rep, pulled the 7.5 fuse in the engine compartment and the alarm stopped. Do not break into the Ocean, it will blare the alarm mercilessly. Thank you for the vid!

    Same thing happened to me a couple days ago. Was on 1.11. I crawled through the back as well. Alarm. I couldn't get through to Fisker. Alarm went off for about 10 min. Finally the car woke up and was able to put it into gear. Alarm continued to go off as I drove home. When I arrived home, I got out and locked the car with the fob and the alarm stopped. Everything went back to normal. I sent a case to Fisker and after waiting weeks I got the update for 2.0. Hopefully this never happens again, as I'm not sure my wife will ever go anywhere in this vehicle again.

    This also happened to me earlier today. I was able to finally unlock using the unlock button on the app. When i got into the car it was showing no key, so I used the nfc reader with the fob. When I got home I checked the fob battery which was low, so I replaced it. I don't know if this low battery contributed to the problem. Car is on 1.11.

    This was literally my experience today, dog stuck in boot too,right down to the issues with the phone call not connecting... Was thoroughly concerned for my dog, most stressful day I've had since owning the car.
    Tech came out- said there was 6 communication errors on the diagnostics...
    Pressing the brake couldn't have done anything, it'd just stay black screened.

    I got locked out when I was on 1.07. I did what you did and the alarm went off for around 20 minutes, but I didn’t call Fisker that time. After a long embarrassing alarm went off, the car finally see my key fob and get the alarm to turn off. It was nightmare. I have not gotten locked out after 1.11 yet. I still don’t have 2.0 yet. FOO # 1569 at Pensacola. Love driving my Ocean One.

    This is, according to Fisker, an issue with the PKC module. This is the module that works with the key fob. Fisker support can force a reset of the PKC module remotely. My assumption is the PKC module times out at some point, between 15-45min.
    Side note, I've heard of you remove the key fob battery for ~3 minutes and then replace it, this will also fix the issue.

    • @Ocean1_FSR
      @Ocean1_FSR  7 місяців тому

      I see no way removing the key fob battery could have any effect because the NFC reader requires no power from the Fob. Has anyone verified this?

    • @simrisks

      I call Fisker and they didn't do anything other than send a technician out... No "ping" suggestion... I think it just did it's sleep cycle and then starred working again after 45 mins of alarm and dog stuck in the car... Total BS issue to have... Is there a fix for the PKC module if that's the issue??

      Calling Fisker for me was far less helpful, they suggested holding the boot hatch button to shut off the alarm... The. Said they would get roadside assistance out to remove the 12v to turn off alarm...
      They did identify it Was software communication issues though... 6 error codes

    That happened to me last week. (on 2.0) Exact same thing. I got in through California mode. Alarm went off. Couldnt stop the alarm. Had to drive with the alarm going off. Drove to a remote area to trouble shoot. Eventually the key fob started working again.I stopped... Got out ... Locked the car... And the alarm turned off finally.
    I hope they add a way for us to turn the alarm off. What if we can't get through to Fisker or they're no longer in service...

      Do you have full2.0 all 3 parts?
      If you have same issue on the new software, that's super concerning. Already freaked out my dog was locked in today, can't imagine how bad it'd have been if I didn't have the windows down.

    On a previous video you said that the NFC would always work. What if you had taken the battery out and then reinstalled? Carry an extra battery in your wallet.

    • @Ocean1_FSR
      @Ocean1_FSR  7 місяців тому

      This happens because the car goes into a deep sleep very randomly. This has nothing to do with the Fob. Also, the NFC reader requires no battery power from the fob but does require power from the car

      I can confirm the issue during receiving Ota 2.1, it drains the 12v , so RAC came to jump start but what surprised me the main battery is 0% so not moving. Need to tow back home and ask them to charge the 12v and home charge at the same time. I am still arranging the rescue guy. I am not sure anyone has this issue.

    Why did you not just open the doors from the app?

    • @Ocean1_FSR
      @Ocean1_FSR  7 місяців тому

      Other people I talked to said that when it happened to them that the doors wouldn't open and only the rear hatch would. It's possible though that could have worked.

    • @simrisks
      @simrisks 7 місяців тому

      I can confirm.... The app did not open the car when this happened today. It didn't open the rear hatch for me either, but I had the window open and unlocked the car from inside (triggered the alarm) and the book release inside worked.
      California mode in car and app however did not work.
      Once in the car I could unlock all the doors with the unlock button (but I couldn't manually lock them).
      Really quite a difficult experience. I hope for a sensible solution to this and fast.
