So they have tried sections 43, 47, 50 and 5 used section 1 of pace to search and I have also seen Community Protection Warning being served. Now it is all about filming their officers private vehicles when they know full well that it is not easy to obtain the registered keeper's details from the DVLA. They are finding it difficult to deal with law binding citizen who know the law and they hate being challenged.

Makes me wonder about the intelligence of the people who design police stations. Glass was invented to enable light and sight through an otherwise impervious (to light) surface. Mesh gates allow a similar capability to open air areas. Now, if you don't wish members of the public to access (by sight) the inside of either buildings or car parks then you obscure such areas by either using different materials or having the ability to obscure those areas by other means. The onus of providing privacy does not fall on the public. It falls primarily upon the genius who designs these building and secondarily upon the people using the building to solve the problem once it has been recognised. It's not 'rocket science guys. LEGALS
1) When a Police Constable becomes involved with the public he is on duty. He should identify. Policy breach.
2) The motorcyclist triggered his camera. It’s covered by GDPR. Ask for it.
3) The Sergeant has no right to ask several questions, and expect an answer.
4) The Sergeant lied - he simply guessed that you were filming “private” cars. You could, for example, have the camera switched on you.
5) The Female (?) officer broke policy by hiding her collar number, and invented some new laws. Plonker.
I love it when they say “I’m not going to debate this any more”… that normally means you’ve won the debate. Two suggestions if I may:
1) Golden question: “which section of which Act is that officer”
2) If a Constable approaches you early on in any legal videoing activity, then your REASON for videoing becomes “Sir, I was approached by a Constable who started a conversation about my Lawful activity, then he/she breached Police policy by doing XYZ (here it was non identification), so I am now trying to establish who she was. Can you help me”.
That second answer simply needed to be repeated again and again to the inquisitive Sergeant…. Just keep asking it.
Even if they wanted to stop and search you and prosecute for “harassment” (both possible in Law), your defence is rock solid. You now have the perfect reason to stay there all day and video how and what you like as you attempt to identity that rogue officer. You’re now videoing to protect yourself - as officers are clearly out of control - and provide evidence of police wrongdoing for future reporting to the Crime Commissioner.
Thus any Harassment charges, or Stop & Search under the TA (2002) become illegal.

Okay now, I'm sat watching this on a laptop, using subtitles as the person I'm sat with is watching tv. This puts all of these videos, auditing, filming, in to perspective. That sergeant, with no sound, looks very uncomfortable, flustered even. He looks out of breath. Having no sound on and having to rely more on your eyes, it really does make this bunch of fools look even more incompetent than they normally do. Try it!
