All Smarzowski movies are very heavy, dark and disturbing. They will stay with you for a long time. He made movies about alcoholism, police, church, genocide in Wołyń, etc. - many social problems. He often use a lot of dark humor in his work, but in the end I always felt depressed after watching those films.

Drogówka it's a movie and it is definitely not a comedy. Famous polish actors Dorociński, Topa, Braciak, Lubos, Jakubik play policemen.

Hello Rob and viewers. The trailers you watched at the beginning were characterizations of individual policemen from the film, i.e. one alcoholic, one fisherman, one loan shark at interest... and I highly recommend the film itself. It tells a true story, but it is not a film based on facts. Several real incidents were combined into one film, so what you are watching took place over a period of time.

to tylko film na szczęście wprawdziwym życiu już jest dużo lepiej takie rzeczy jak w filmie były w polsce w latach 90 a ten film miał szokować i pokazywać patologie policji z ostatnich 20 lat w 90 minut ale komedia wyszła z tego nawer fajna brakuje tylko granatnika komendanta głównego :)

Watch the whole movie if you can. It's really a drama movie (albeit with some comedic elements thrown in) - just like all of Wojtek Smarzowski's movies.
Hi Rob, it's a mockery film but based on true events 😉 which were happening in old days.
Used if you were pulled over by Milicja you had money ready in your driving licence, the amount depended on number off officers and what you did or didn't do.
Funny times when milicja officers had best cars and biggest houses in the village 😂.

this film is a satire on the police from the 90s. Nobody wanted to work in the police because everyone remembered the militia from the communist times. Nobody respected the police. Because everyone remembered that workers were beaten during anti-communist demonstrations. The 1990s in Poland were a very specific period. Wild privatization, bribes, deals between politicians and gangsters. I remember that no one paid fines because they paid a bribe and the matter was settled ;) Our own Wild West xD

Its from movie "Drogówka." There was once a TV program (something like a series) with the same name and it showed the work of traffic policemen.
These are actors, not real policemen. I think it's a mockumentary.

Wojciech Smarzowski is currently the best Polish direktor, he not afraid of controversial topics, thickens the reality around the characters using absurdity and grotesque, he makes drastic films that are difficult to watch. As one critic wrote, Smarzowski has no mercy for Poland and Poles. His best films are: "Wesele" (wedding reception), "Kler" (clergy), "Wołyń" (Volhynia).

He is well-known for making uncompromising movies showing negative or even pathological behaviors within particular groups of people, e.g. priests ("Kler" movie), alcoholics ("Pod Mocnym Aniołem" movie).
This movie is - as you already noticed - about traffic police.

This film shows the dark side of Poland. In an expressive and controversial way. According to film critics, it is also clear. It discredits the image of uniformed officers, which is officially flawless. In fact, the morality of police officers is sometimes not much different from the path of crime. This is a collection of what has happened over many years in the police in Poland. In my opinion, all these events could have really happened at some point. This is shocking because it is presented in a condensed form in the film. Too harsh driving of the traffic police. ⚠️👮🚓🛣️⛔😐😳
I haven't seen the film but I really think such films are really injurious to the public. The director is using a social group and giving people extreme image of them and making them less trustful which is very dangerous and socially destructive.
