My incisions were very small and healed quickly. I couldn't even point to where they were today.

I had the sleeve done 12 days ago.
I wasn't bad at all, of course, some soreness, but overall, I am happy so far

Were you able to walk 1 day after your surgery?

      Actually, the same day.
They want to prevent you from getting blood clogs, and plus you heal much faster by walking
The mental part is the most challenging

Thank you doctor, when I left hospital my incisions were very clean and almost clear. Now, they look red. I only cleaned with alcohol and when I take a shower with just soap. Is this normal of redness?

Did u have surgery? If so where did u have it done

    • @MaggieArmenta672

@@jenniferkent386 I had it done in Tijuana, I found this group of medical doctors & communicated with them to have it done. First time went there to check status of my health & blood work then a month later my surgery. I spent two nights & everything seemed ok. My cuts from surgery became infected after being home, I also developed diarrhea because of antibiotics & I had to stop them; that’s why of infection.
Diarrhea made me very weak & my throat also was sore & infected that here in USA had to go see my primary doctor to get help. Like they said only ice chips were able to go down my throat. I did take pictures of my belly cuts & sent to the nurse in Mexico but He said they were fine, but for me it felt like moisture when I touch them. It’s been more than two months & I can eat some food, but when it comes to solids hard solids that feeling is not good. It’s painful & discomfort so I stop eating. I do go for baby foods that is not bad. People that I have met with this procedure they said that keeping omeprazole close by them is the easiest, for me I hate pills; as well as ice cold drinks. So I do ice pops & it feels good but have sugar. Everything you buy you have to check sugar & carbohydrates levels.
I think I wish I never done this, as my experience is not the best beside it is how uncomfortable I am when I eat. I used to love chicken soups, now I can’t stand them. I do not eat red meat, so the only left is fish! I am doing therapy to become stronger again, my doctor recommend here, I walk slowly but I am trying and feel if I ever will feel good again. With this issues I became emotional at times so be prepared if you have not felt this way. I never had pain in my incisions to tell you the truth, I felt it when I am standing & twisting to put shoes & socks and it felt like something inside pain which I avoid now, I seat and finish up dressing. I am active, I only stopped working for a week, never have stopped moving. But seriously what I place in my mouth is with my body tolerance, and if it is too much I do hiccups, which before you drink water & they go away! But now there is no room for food & fluids at same time. And remember when you feel you eat a lot & you go out for a walk so feel like food went down; not with this, as you have to wait for at least half an hour. Food and drink do not go together to be clear… fluids are not easy to measure. And also, your situation not easy to share.
If you tell your friends what you can do and can’t…. They think you’re sick and place you to the least they want to be around, so my business is mine as I do not want people to feel sorry for me. My mistake was not knowing that this procedure was going to learn & do it by myself. If you, who ever is reading this, be prepared to what is the team you choose & how much information you need & how far you want to go to reach your goals & stick to them. I liked this information doctor Alvarez places for all of us to understand, but you will never know exactly how it feels until you have done it. I fluctuated from 190-170 pounds & was considered obese, my “fat liver” situation was not good so this was my only choice & I did & I will work on becoming better for myself. This procedure is not reversible so it is a lot of learning to do for me. Good luck to all of you

I am so sorry about your bad experience. This is was scares me so much and like with any surgery it's scary what the outcome can be. I wish you all the best and hope it gets better.

@@jenniferkent386 Look I prepared myself for this, I followed a diet & exercise, also took a lot of vitamins & drank lots of water. My recovery in those two days I spent in hospital were good signs! It’s just I came back home & no medical advice here. I finally got to see my regular doctor after a month as she was busy. The group where I went to do my surgery has not been that supported to what is after. But Dr. Alvarez seems very good that’s why I stared to follow him. He cares about the outcome & keeps us informed
