      So a lot has happened since my last reply.... I found out I was pregnant soon after and I had a miscarriage last week (baby's heart stopped at 9 weeks and I was 11 weeks, had procedure done, now I'm home recovering). I have been eating things that I shouldn't and I'm grieving so at the moment I'm not even thinking about my weight but after I've grieved I will get back on track..

    Good tips for further out, I think someone like myself (8 weeks post op) should refer to their dietitian re stalls [also with what is considered a stall, I was told no weight loss for 3 weeks]. I was advised to eat more to break a stall, especially this early on.

    I love it! I have looked at all the videos and the hospital and location. I am so ready to go. I really am ready for this life change. I am so excited. I am in really good health. The only thing I need is a safe place to have surgery. I am hoping this will be the place!

    Amazing! Absolutely true! I'm 14 years RNY, gone through many changes in the body and diet, those are the reasons of stall or even gaining weight, as you prescribed it! There is also the big psychosomatic idea of being overweight and operating yourself a placebo...much to think

    How do you eat protein throughout the day and also do intermittent fasting?

    • @michellemorrison9663
      @michellemorrison9663 2 роки тому

      Genepro is a great source of unflavored protein that you can add to your foods! I did before my surgery when I did IF and I’m doing it post-OP to meet protein goals when I can’t. It’s fantastic

    • @Julette1
      @Julette1 Рік тому

      Protein products are great especially unflavored but mostly try using what's natural such as meat, fish, chicken, and other protein food choices. To answer your question you can choose the time you don't want to eat and when you want to stop, and also incorporate meal planning if you have not already done so.

      My question exactly , protein supplements does not equal protein all day, spaced out throughout the day as he said you can’t do it. I would concentrate on protein and use intermittent fasting about 4 to ? Months .

    What if the person is not eating carbs. So, then what? What if the person is eating protein? That’s all they can’t get down? Then what? What if the person exercising daily. 5 times a day ? What if you have no stress? What if the person don’t drink? So, you want someone to fast when they already taking less than 800 calories? Most doctors say you can’t have coffee or tea? No caffeine drinks. What if the person only drink water? What if the person is sleeping fine? These tips are not helpful at all nor do they make sense.

    Is the low carb advice still applicable if you are several years post-VSG and are lifting and exercising frequently? My personal trainer and all of the body builders I follow say to eat "good" carbs like rice, potatoes, oatmeal, etc. and the advice on carbs for those who have had VSG vs. "normal" people who lose weight is very confusing

      @Lavendernicole Рік тому +1

      *Not a professional* If you’re stalling you’re probably consuming too much carbs / not enough fiber. Yes you need the carbs for the extra push in a workout and to keep your metabolism working but when you have excess fat it’s definitely not necessary, also with carbs like oatmeal / rice / potatoes those amounts of carbs are to add calories that can be filling and used for more workouts. It’s hard to lose weight and gain muscle mass at the same time - I’d say for carbs stick to the carbs that are high in protein or high in fiber. Green beans & chickpeas are my fave! 🙌🏽🙌🏽 also go you!!
