How to catch Wahoo/Ono! Techniques for one of the fastest fish that swims

No way I can troll 8 knots on my Stealth ski so am I wasting my time chasing wahoo on hard bodies? You mention the spearos flash shiny things to attract the Wahoo so maybe I can get away with it at normal paddle speed. Have you ever trolled up a Wahoo on the yak Rob?

Hi Rick - I’ve never caught one off the yak but blokes up the Goldie have trolling livies or dead baits. The fish I got in that vid I had only just put the boat in gear so the lure was barely moving which questions the whole minimum 8 knots theory lol. I’ve caught plenty of Spanish on lures off the yak so no doubt paddle speed would work on the right day mate.

Yes great bait but the sharks make it hard out at that spot. Lures avoid the sharks.
