My coworker and I work at a sign/ decal shop doing everything from big pole signs to window vinyl to fleet graphics on company trucks. We have recently convinced him to let us wrap our work van and now we’re in a contract with the city for all the transit busses. Now I’m trying to soak in every tip I can I love doing this stuff.
Your videos have been a great tool for me to learn how to wrap cars. I wrapped my car twice. I took an online class to get better and re-wrapped most of my car after seeing what I did wrong the first time. I've worked and upgraded my garage so that I can wrap better and continue to watch videos and seek advice on how to wrap even better.
Thxs for keeping it real man and THANK YOU for the magnet tip cause I had NOOO idea (granted I've never wrapped but am in the process researching how!)
Kinda dumb question, but I have yet to see a installer mention it.. not all cars have metal body panels. What do yall use other than magnets for a fiberglass body to hold the vinyl on the car so that ut diesnt damage paint, etc? Painters tape? Rubber grip squeeze clamps? I currently building a 76 Corvette project and plan on wrapping it myself when its time, so Im trying to soak up as much knowledge as I can before hand. Your tips make me a subscriber.
My biggest speedbump is how to do inlays and 90 degree bends you find on front bumpers. I'm gonna be wrapping a Nissan Z, and the front bumper already has me stumped and I haven't even started it yet.
Always loved your vids man! I would love to learn to wrap as it would save my ass so much money.... I have had it changed 3 times now since December 21 and am in about 12k or so. Maybe I will take that advice and go take some classes as a side hustle would fund my spending addiction on my car lol. Keep up the great work and vids man.
I've been wrapping for about 7 months, personally I think 3m sucks. Avery is okay. I guess. Teckwrap and inozetec is so much easier to install. Everyone argues other wise but once I got to know the material it's a million times better
I appreciate the help in the video but to stand there and say you won’t find videos or other material to better yourself unless you purchase a course is completely wrong. You can easily go on UA-cam for hours and watch different videos of time lapses or tutorials and take their methods without buying a course. The certifications also are a big scam. No need to lay 1k or whatever for a company to say you’re good enough when you can wrap your own stuff even household items then post it online and get clients. Everywhere on these platforms is people just trying to sell useless things for their own benefit.
If you was certified as a 3m or avery Dennison installer then you would understand the benefits. But you can learn whichever way fits your budget. We are here to help people that want hands on training. Www.allencars.net
If anyone tells you vynil wrapping cars is easy you tell them bullshite, it is not an easy task. I had a go at wrapping my roof on my 2011 honda accord euro-what a disaster. $150.00 worth of wrap down the drain. I will be paying a professional to do it.
