    I started smoking CBD hemp and it's helped me cut down on THC consumption! Makes me feel more balanced and happier!

      You can also eat salmon and/or fish oil capsules....omega 3s are converted into cbd naturally by our bodies and it's much cheaper than buying cbd

    Weird, I saw this video and thought of the one you did on Mama Ganja, and quitting for at least a year. I still haven't quit, but I think about it. The overwhelm is real and potent. I won't rush out to harvest, but thank you for the information, and the gentle reminder that when we work with the root causes, everything falls into place.

    This is one of my all time favorite go to herbs especially after a long day of work or a big hike. Making tea of the fresh plant creates such a relaxing and calming effect on the body, mind and spirit. I always carry a bottle of fresh plant tincture with me and recommend it to a lot of clients and friends for tension especially from the neckdown. Think of the person sitting at the computer all day or doing repetitive tasks where they are hunched over. Highly recommend but like Yarrow said please be respectful and only take what you need.

    FYI -- in my experience, all of the Artemisia spp. would be safer to use (in terms of GRAS for plant-based remedies), and would have the same medicinal benefits that you describe. Thx for sharing this video - nice to see that u have that intention of service for sharing healing techniques with all of us. 💜

      Funny, in my experience, having smoked both Artemisia vulgaris and Pedicularis sylvatica I find Pedicularis to have a much stronger, more noticeable and longer lasting effect in terms of its ability to calm and relax the muscles and nervous system. But hey…. just my opinion.

    I enjoyed the video, but it would be much more helpful iif you would show a close-up of the plant to help us recognize it. Also, your suggestions for what parts to use was sketchy. At least you did make the video, reluctant though you may have been. So thanks. I watch lots of your videos, and am a long-time subscriber!

    I'd love to see upclose pictures of this to make sure I properly identify the plant. I'm new to this journey. But I've had a very deep sense of being lost in our busy, Kaos, and that sense if TO MUCH BUSY! I am on a journey with plants. Medicinal use, the connection to nature, and finding inner peace!! Thank you for your videos. I'm going out to search for Mullin plants today.

    I did find pedicularis here in Central Minnesota in late June, early July. I dried some and have a small tincture going. Anxious to try it

    I am very glad you mentioned "if you're not dealing with the root cause of the anxiety then you are missing the mark" because even though I am scanning over herbal videos to achieve this effect, I am aware that the root cause to disease are indeed emotional and need to be felt and released from the soul before they stop affecting the body... That said, it's still a difficult practice for me to feel emotions that I have been trained to suppress and avoid since the day my parents began telling me to stop crying and basically initiated the emotional blocks that are creating the diseases/pains I am now discovering, so I appreciate someone who is sharing this knowledge which I am finding quite difficult to come across (no surprise due to the fear global industries have of loosing their position of control via supply and demand big pharma)

      Yes, we need to get at the root issue of our Anxiety which is caused by trauma. Or we can go beyond the mind and ego and transcend it. Both methods work. I prefer the latter because it's gets at the root of all human suffering, the mind! The cause of all our suffering is the mind. If we had no mind, there would be no suffering. That's why I love Meditation and I love that State of 'No mind ' and Flow. Herbals and plants are also good and are there if we need the help.

      @@andrewortiz5797 well, I know that is what you believe, but it is not true. I can verify that the root cause to our disease and pain is from keeping energy-in-motion trapped inside of our soul. That is not our mind. But we stay trapped in our mind because it is the place we like hiding from our emotions that we suppressed from childhood. We do this because our parents tell us to stop crying, little do they know they then just closed our ability to release negative emotions, and introduced fear of crying into us. Do you see why I am disagreeing with you now? The mind is not the cause, it is the hiding place. If we want to get to the cause and address the root problem, we need to begin allowing ourselves to feel every feeling that arises, and express those feelings. Anger can be expressed responsibility by punching a rice bag or shouting loudly. Fear can only be accessed if we stop our addictions, which we use to avoid the shaking or feeling of terror that comes with fear. And grief I find quite easy, but can be difficult to allow yourself to cry when infront of other people, but every time we suppress a feeling, pain is the result. And the longer we keep these negative energies inside, the more they will manifest as disease or pain.

      @@TruthIsLove. I somewhat agree with you. Most people surpress their emotions and it's best to experience the feelings and let the energy burn itself up. Anxiety for example is energy. That's one method. But there are other methods and not just one way. Another method is not a doing but a 'seeing'. It's seeing the mind for what it is, just mere illusions. Ever since we were children, our parents and friends and schools and tv and radio and religion and societal norms and taboos and traumatic experiences have created within us a false identity called the ego. Which is a self construct based off of social conditioning. For example, no one is born a Christian or a Muslim or gay or an addict or a republican or a democrat and no one is born a loser or wicked or an addict etc... These are all false Identities we take upon ourselves they social conditioning. They are just stories. Meditation and Contemplation allows one to go beyond the mind and to see Life as it is without all the mental stories and beliefs. Physical Reality exists. The ground can be touched and we see the trees and the sun and we can touch things. However negative thoughts and imaginations cannot be proven to exist. Negative thoughts and stories of the mind cannot be proven to exist unlike physical Reality. So negative thoughts and imaginations and fear and sadness, are just illusions. When we think they are real, it effects our bodies and that's called emotions. Emotions can be felt in the body as shaking or tight chest etc... By feeling the emotions, the energy burns up or one could go beyond the mind and see it for what it is. The mind can be our friend or it could be our enemy. We need the mind to function on this earth but we are the masters of our mind. We can't choose what thoughts pop up in our mind but we can choose to react to or not react to them. We can use the mind for self constructive purposes or for self defeating purposes. We are not our thoughts however we are The Observer of our thoughts. Awareness.

      @@andrewortiz5797 there are many things I agree with, and stand at odds with some other things that perhaps the meaning of the words we are using could perhaps mean the same thing but are used differently e.g. the use of the word mind, and to help us benefit from this interaction, if you're willing, I would like to explain further using how we can take things from Gods perspective using absolute terms that we can both agree upon so we can both grow from this conversation. You interested in hearing what I mean exactly? Because if you're happy with what you know and understand and have no desire to understand my perspective, then I am happy to agree to disagree about the mind being an illusion.

      @@TruthIsLove. yes I'm open to reasoning. I don't like apolegetics or debates because I think they are profitless. I'm a freethinker and am very open minded and am even wrong sometimes about certain things because I'm human. However one of my duties is not to attack other people's beliefs but one of my duties is to challenge their belief systems and get them to see that God is Bigger than our ideologies and Bigger than Religion and Greater than our understanding. I myself, am a Worshipper of God and have a relationship with God. God is very important in my Life. I'm not a Christian ( I used to be a very religious christian) or ascribe to any religion. Are you christian?? Psalm 46:10 is a Powerful Verse. It says to Be Still and know that I Am God. To Be in The Moment is to be in God, for God is The Moment. God Is Life! In Him do we Live and move and have our Being (Acts 17). Jesus said The Kingdom of Heaven is Within. We are all One with each other and One with God! Jesus prayed that His disciples and future disciples would know this Oneness. This is what I understood from Jesus and His Teaching's. Jesus definitely knew Deep Spiritual Truths but most christians misinterpreted His Teachings and take them Literally, so then a new religion becomes formed .
      If your Christian, awesome. Whatever works for you. I judge no one's way of Life if it makes them a better human being. All religions are pointing to God. God however is Beyond all human understanding. So it's true what many say, That God is Bigger than Religion and Bigger than theology (head knowledge). God cannot be intellectualized or reasoned. God has to be Felt and Personally Experienced thru A Direct Spiritual Experience. God Is Love so therefore God cannot be hate. Gods Ways are Higher than our ways and His Thoughts Higher than our Thoughts. Religion can help lead one to God if rightly discerned because religion often causes wars and hatred and bloodshed and division. Religion's that cause it's followers to kill others or to hate others is certainly not from God. Religion has helped many to Find God and many also Find God without religion or thru different Methods. Whatever leads one to a Better Life and to Peace and Joy. I don't understand why Humans argue over God? God is not something to be argued over because God is beyond anything our puny limited human minds can comprehend.

    Thank you so much for this info this sounds exactly like something that would help me with my PTSD and panic attacks I need to calm down I got took myself off all my harmful medication that they were trying to kill me with, I live in Florida so I will be looking to see where I can get it from grow it and hopefully start making some tea 👍💜

    Harvesting rule of thumb. Don't take more than one out of seven plants. Take one, leave six. That's sustainable.

    For native plants, I only harvest from patches I tend to which usually means buying local ecotypes from a native nursery and starting a patch in an area where I clear non-natives from. As herbalists we should be growing our own, especially if it is a native plant! We can't be extractive and continue to deplete stressed ecosystems. Grow it if you want to use it is my motto

    eat more garlic and onions... and rub any mint oil on your arms, and legs, from the feet to the knees. This will help with the mosquitoes and other bugs. Thank you for your generosity!

    Beautiful video as usual. I use cannabis for insomnia and I'm so grateful for it. Every 6 months or so I take a "holiday" to reduce my tolerance to this fine medicine. I'm looking for herbs that can help me reduce pain and anxiety before bed so sleep comes more reliably. Perhaps making a salve of this would be helpful as a topical for pain. My guess is that my body is in pain so it wakes me and keeps me sleeping light as I struggle to find comfortable positions during the night. I think there are others as well.

    WOW 😳, this is a new one to me! I'm going to have to try that flower for sure. If it works for me I will share about my experiences. I wouldn't mind trying it for my anxiety. I'm a minimalist when it comes to most drugs. My idea or opinion is that medicine works better if you aren't using it frequently or abusing it. Like a lot of things. Moderation is a wonderful guideline! I quit drinking alcohol 5 months ago and won't touch another drop. Even refused cough syrup with alcohol in it besides all the other nasty stuff in it.     Hi, great channel! Can you tell me if this is habit forming in any way? I don't use intoxicants of any kind and try to avoid anything to which I might develop a tolerance as it's a slippery slope. But I also struggle with chronic pain and would welcome something like this if it could help without getting me "high" or making me want more. My liver is pretty upset with my acetaminophen consumption, so any tips for making it happier are also welcome. I chew willow bark sometimes to give it a break. Thanks!

    I could really use this. How can I make this into a tea or salve. I also have extreme restless. Fibro-ra- shorten,and more which cause bad anxiety and no sleep. Need help

    A combination of mugwort, yarrow flower, and damiana make a decent alternative to cannabis. Ten fresh seeds from the witch pepper (datura) is also very calming, but 50 or more seeds will be a wretched, grueling experience (and perhaps deadly) so do not over-do it. Ginger tea can be pretty calming, tbh. Going outside to pick your own medicine can be pretty calming.
    Kratom helped me get off cannabis, but some people have found kratom to be even more habit forming than weed; the white-veined seem less addictive than the red-veined. Kratom inhibits various liver enzymes, which may increase your sensitivity to other drugs and environmental toxins. If you do a lot of drugs or work in hazardous conditions (where your body has to break down a lot of pollutants) kratom is probably a bad choice. Kratom is a very cool plant if you respect it. When I do it, I rarely do more than 5g in a day, usually half that.

      My doctor has it listed as an opiate in my medical chart, because it hits some of the same receptors. I asked her to remove that notation, because it makes me sounds like an opiate seeker. She wont, and i gave up. They always put things in my record i dont agree with, and nothing from what i said, at least not accurately.
      I still like it, but don't use it as often as i used to, because it caused me to become dehydrated to the point of pain, and it isnt reliable for some types of pain. Imwas absolutely using too much at the time so i could do my physical job. Ive learned and graduated to other more nourishing herbs for pain management and anxiety. Its a wonderful journey learning about these amazing plants.

    Always love your videos Yarrow. Is there any chance you know where seeds can be purchased for growing? Or, any chance you want to harvest some and sell? I also appreciate any advice other Herbal Jedi fans have to offer.

      I just scrolled through the comments and saw someone else was asking about seeds too. Yarrow responded he didn't know and suggested wild stands. WIth that said, I have not found it in my area. Again, anyone's suggestions are welcome. Thanks !!!

    Hey man thank you for sharing. I was just thinking last night I really need to slow my cannabis smoking. My tolerance is through the roof I’ve been smoking for 20 straight years pretty much daily. And when I don’t smoke I have this unhappy depression I guess that follows me around. Hopefully I can find a little bit of this to help with the gloominess. It only lasts two or three days and then I’m fine. I don’t think I will need that much of this herb so it should all work out really well. In 20 years of smoking yes I have taken 30 day cleanses once a year. And it’s always the first week that I just feel almost sad that I’m not smoking cannabis anyways I’m gonna try it out. I’m sure it can’t hurt to take a little bit to try. thanks for sharing again. 🤙🏻

    foods that are high in magnesium are very good for anxiety and the frontal lobe wont shut off bi-polar issues. Magnesium will affect the over-active frontal lobe just like THC. without filling the lungs with tar. I take magnesium at least 4 times/day because I cant get the herbs. EDIT: see my answer below for very important info about magnesium.

      @@nv6679 Magnesium "quick fixes" dark chocolate at least 70% you can go lower like the 69% but the lower you go the less magnesium there is. Peanut butter, peanuts, cashews, almonds, yogurt, squash/pumpkin seeds - most seeds will help, lime beans, tuna, avocado, banana, whole grains, brown rice, spinach/leafy greens, mineral water. thats everything on my "quick" list. Magnesium supplements also. I take the ones that have magnesium, calcium, zinc & Vit D all in one. Walmart 'Spring Valley' or Dollar General 'Rexall Naturalist' brands. Just follow the serving size amt - I take it 4 times/day like a prescription mostly because the green foods are being killed off by the radiation/5Gtowers and I dont have enough money for these grocery stores. MY first dose is with my first cuppa in the morning. Magnesium oxide will cause you to have the runs every morning if you begin taking it. Magnesium stearate does not, but its a slower release than the oxide & if you're like me, you want the relief right now, not later. having your intestines cleaned out every morning isnt such a bad thing - just have the febreze close to hand!! 😆😆🙃😉 *WARNING* MAGNESIUM SUPPLEMENTS WILL KNOCK YOU OUT - DO NOT DRIVE THE FIRST FEW DAYS WHILE UNDER THE INFLUENCE!!! if you havent been sleeping - you will! ❤‍🔥❤‍🔥❤‍🔥💖💖

      @@nv6679 glad to help. sometimes that headache is from allergies or needing to eat. You'll learn the different places those things make your forehead hurt and will learn what to do thru repetition. bi-polar is on the autism spectrum and we dont eat very well. many are hypoglycemic and dont know it.

      Glycemic index doesn't rise on carnivore diet. Id say pretty high in magnesium as well

    Hi! I am wanting to start learning all about herbals around me in Smokey Mountains TN.       Alot of people develop pot allergies now, from newbies to older users. Could be environment issues, but smart to have a variety of tools ifcu have anxiety or use pot for another purpose like pain.

    Would this grow in Ontario? I imagine it would. Also, I'm not much into making tinctures so making teas is really what I do most with either fresh leaves and/or stems and/or flowers or teas with dried leaves and/or stems and/or flowers, etc., so can this be used in a tea (flowers/stems/leaves)?
