I’ve microdosed mushrooms for about 3 years, I’d recommend it for everyone, look up Mush_trips on Instagram. There product helped me fight anxiety and depression. Thank me later
Ive had depression and anxiety for 20 years , and been on meds .I’ve found swimming helps , and aqua aerobics , plus a sauna and steam afterwards . Try and walk a little daily , and sit in the garden . Listen to a podcast , if bored , or read the paper in the garden . Depression and anxiety can cause lack of motivation , but the key is not to listen to the neg thoughts , take action , shush the negative .thoughts . The right supplement can do wonders .
Try cod liver oil and ashwagandha i just read up on it the other day it has some great benefits! Also, exercise, please please exercise for at least 20 minutes a day and it has to hit 80% of your maximum heart rate to work for anxiety and depression but well worth it!
Cian Coyle have you seen any benefits with them? I’ve been suffering with anxiety which causes me to be depressed for sometime now, I have 2 kids and just need some type of help, my father suffered with kidney cancer and since then I don’t take any type of medication Tylenol etc. please let me know as I just want my life to be normal for my children, god bless you 🙏
@@msspade2010yo sorry to hear that unfortunately i had no benefits from ashwaghanda it made my anxiety worse. I done more research on other natural supplements which might help you lions mane mushroom and maca root powder. Today was my first day taking them and i felt great. My anxiety makes me depressed sometimes too our story sounds very similar but i really reccomend these two things for you also, stay safe and many thanks for the blessings ❤
This is my story: About 2 months ago I was formally diagnosed with Depression and Anxiety. I was put on actual meds to help me manage it because around the end of July I started developing extremely debilitating symptoms. Some of my symptoms included blinding headaches, pain in my joints, inability to eat, hypersensitivity to sounds and light, extreme fatigue but unable to winddown or feel rested after sleeping, and I could not take two steps without feeling winded. It was crazy. I had been having panic attacks since I was a child but my family does not believe in mental illness, so I did not acknowledged there could be something wrong with me until A LOT of damaged happened to me all throughout my childhood up until 2017, when I had the craziest panic attack where I felt I was having a heart attack and was told I had social anxiety and was dismissed from the ER. I never sought help until July 2020 because I have been sad my whole life so I never thought it was any different until my body started to get attacked for real. I could say that for the first month after taking my actual meds I felt okay. However during September I noticed that I was not able to relax whatsoever. I would be able to do all I needed to do and more during the day but I was wired. For the past week it got more stronger and last night I almost collapsed. I felt like every cell in my body was vibing with nervous energy and I tried to take a nap but I could NOT turn off. My eyes felt dry and I was hyperventilating and a dooming headache was pulsing on my temples. Then I remember whenever I felt depressed in college (WHICH WAS ALWAYS) I would take a scorching hot shower to get my mind off my emotional pain. So I went to the bathroom and filled up the tub with hot water and dumped 3 cups of Epsom Salt and got in. As soon as I got into the tub, the vibration of anxiety STOPPED. PERIODT. I scrubbed myself and stayed in the tub for about 15 mins when I had the bright idea of exfoliating my skin with the actual granules of Epsom Salt, so I rubbed my whole body with the salt and something amazing happened! ALL OF MY NEGATIVE THOUGHTS STOPPED. And for the first time in NEVER I was able to see how my brain fucked up thoughts infiltrate me. Because when I close my eyes in the shower I always feel fear (of irrational demons and dark entities). But as I rinsed the salt from my face my eyes were closed, and when the these thoughts came I had the urge to open them but I did not open my eyes, because my rational mind devoid of anxiety spoke to me and said "why are you doing this to yourself? There is nothing to be afraid of. You are in your house, in your bathroom, by yourself, relax. These fears are not real, they are not YOU". I proceeded to stay in the shower cleansing my skin for 20 more minutes with my eyes closed and I felt love. And I washed myself and I remember feeling peace and not for one moment did I have an anxious thought that could not be dissolved by the clear voice of my real mind. And I felt like I was seeing my actual self for the first time and when I was done with the shower I felt safe and solid, nothing like I had felt before when I felt vulnerable and like a mass of wiggly nerves exposed to it all and attacked by it all. So I wanted to understand what did this to me last night and I found out it was magnesium. I woke up today feeling just as calm and I slept well. So give magnesium a try. I found this video because I am trying to explain what was that holy experience that happened to me last night in that salt bath. I am going to try and take a salt bath a least once a week and get a magnesium supplement. I understand now that I have a lot of negativity recorded in my memories and brain and maybe salt can help me cleanse my spirit. I just want to feel normal and live a fulfilling life. I hope this recount maybe can help someone else.
I’m not alone! Omg I’m not alone. Thank you for sharing your story. The exact symptoms you described happened to me 3 weeks ago and I went to the ER thinking I was having a heart attack only to be told I had a panic attack and there’s nothing physically wrongs with me. My family doesn’t really believe in anxiety so my panic attacks when I was younger were ignored. I always thought I was just a nervous kid and I would grow out of it. Nope! Not true! Anxiety has really crippled me to the point where it’s now affecting my work and relationships. I just bought some epson salt and will take a soak today. Hopefully it helps me relax.
Thank you for this, I suffer with anxiety and stress which causes me to feel depressed, I also have 2 children and want to be normal and strong for them, I will give this a try. God bless you 🙏❤️
@@jheanellpagon6437 Thank you for your comment Jheanelle. Buy the epsom salts but also set the mood and the intention. Get yourself a soap you like, do a bath bomb, light some candles and when you get into the tub massage your skin and give yourself love - YOU DESERVE IT and you NEED IT! Also take all the time you need with this. As you cleanse yourself think of anxiety leaving your body through your skin and going down the drain in the sods of the soap, forgive yourself for anything negative you think of about yourself, remember you are human and we have to make errors to learn and grow. Perfection is a myth. I hope this helps. And as far as your family, they don't ever have to know if you choose to get treatment. I went ahead and told my mother and she still judged me but the way I let go of it is that my mom does not have a medical degree or actual medical experience, let alone in psychology. So if anybody comes at you think about that for a second - Does this person has medical training or substantial experience in medicine and psychology? Bottom line: My life is my own and I must do what I can to feel better and not suffer. Something I've noticed over time is that it is our own family who put in our mind a lot of the ideas and beliefs that drive our anxiety. Some of them have anxiety and depression themselves but just have been taught to see "past it" but are really suffering and unwilling to get helped. It is kinda our responsibility to heal ourselves so that we can show them that there is another way and who knows maybe they will seek help. ☺
@@prayersoflight5510 as I read your reply I sobbed. Not sad tears but tears of relief. It crazy how much damage your own family can do to you without even knowing it. Thank you very much for your feedback and support. It’s really refreshing to see that there are people out there like you that honestly care. I just got a bubble bath to go with the epsom salt and bought some candles for a relaxing soak later. ☺️
Agree, have to wade through the conservative garbage to get to anything useful. I agree that the top supplements needed in anxiety and depression are the B group vitamins and Magnesium. Also of very high priority is exercise or physical activity. Force yourself to get out and move and go for a walk or go to the gym. Include as many wholefoods as possible in your diet. Avoid sugary and processed food. Eat as much green foods as you can, alkalising your body. Make your bedroom sleep conducive , whatever that takes. Sleep is majorly important. Drink water ! Never underestimate the impact that simple clean water can have. Also shift your energy by going to a different town. Day trips, just getting out of your usual environment can shift your state of mind. Visit a herbalist, they have a much more Wholistic view on things and respect every person's sovereignty. Doctors ,whilst totally needed, are not always helpful with their dry conservative exalted viewpoints. St John's wort does not have similar side effects to Prozac. Not even comparable. Sorry but this woman is promoting drug companies wayyyy too much. Big big business and a tragic one.
If you're watching this video and feeling like you're at the end of your rope, please know that you're not alone. Thank you to the creator for sharing their story and shedding light on this important topic.
Best thing that helped my anxiety (after therapy of course) was improving my gut health by eating a whole food plant based diet. No more IBS woop woop. Loosing 50lbs also helped me feel better 😊
@@pegsullivan2299 I just eat whole food plants like legumes, grains and lots of vegetables. Quinoa/whole grain rice are my fave grains with kidney beans or chickpeas. I basically followed the daily dozen app, minus the cumin as I have hormone issues so it makes me stink. I never cook with oil or salt and avoid anything processed. It’s important to cut out refined sugar. I batch cook in an instant pot. For example tomorrow I’m making a sweet potato, chickpea and spinach curry with whole grain rice that I cook in vegetable broth (I use Vecon as there is not salt in it). Tonight I m making a chickpea fajita bowl with kale and quinoa. I have PCOS so it’s very hard to loose weight, but I hope this helps. I have a lot more energy now and my inflammation has gone right down so The chronic pain has improved too!

Sucks that so many people in your comments lashed back against you providing good information about medication and supplements in a scientific way. Personally, I really appreciated it!
Love your videos! I healed my anxiety 15 years ago, all natural. No drugs. I'm obsessed with natural health now cause i never wanna go back to living in fear.
@@RodneyDodson i’ve just watched your video and thought it was best to comment here. Great video I have to say and Two things that stuck out to me is 1) when you said “I just want to live”. That brought a tear to my eye and 2) when you said that drugs mask symptoms without dealing with the root cause of the “illness” (I say “illness” because I now understand that anxiety is not an illness but an emotion that GAD/PTSD sufferers like myself face simply because our brains have become hardwired to feel in times when we aren’t in any actual danger). One thing which I would like to pick your brain on though is when you spoke about legal drugs. You said in your video that synthetic drugs are poisonous to the body. So does this mean that u have not taken the covid jab? (It’s not really any of my business whether u have or haven’t but the Covid jab is a legal synthetic drug lol)
I am 67 and have had anxiety and panic attacks since age 12. Now for 35 years on Benzos, Atenonol Buspar and pain meds. All do to this disorder. I want off all these meds but that gives me anxiety. I feel this will lead me to more anxiety. I wish my psychiatrist or counselor would have lead me down the natural road. We trust our physicians to do us no harm and now I am addicted to all this crap! I walk everyday and take care of my mom with dementia, so my stress isn't going away anytime soon. God Bless everyone and God save our gracious anxiety ridden patients.

I agree. Another video I watched, desperate to find help, gave me more anxiety bc she was so excited and going off topic. Might work in a different mind frame but it heightened my anxiety. Just her voice and straightforward approach made it soothing to listen to and helped me receive the info. Thank you so much.
chamomile was really effective for me! Even just smelling it is calming and the way you sip every bit of it is so ugh 😍. Butt its not just always the herb, you have to also take part on it. While i drank chamomile tea everyday, I excercise not only physically but mentally. Knowing how good is life to be not feared.

Very comprehensive and well-done. I just love your voice, demeanor and outlook on life. These videos are like having a great, helpful, knowledgaable friend.
Amazing video, Emma! Currently having magnesium, zinc, omega 3, valerian, but what made a big noticeable difference for me was vitamin D (currently having a high dose 5000 ui or so) and l-teanine. I am recovering from burnout and extremely high anxiety with physical side effects (eg. tension headaches, dizziness, restless, etc) and supplements have made a huge difference. Thank you!
That was very good. Here`s what helped me the most. First is magnesium (Natural Calm). 1 tsp. a day in a water bottle. Second I cut to 1/2 cup of coffee a day. I feel way better.
black tea and green tea will make my anxiety get worse. It can cause me heart palpitation, disoriented, impending doom, shaking, and finally these all definitely trigger panic attack. so far, my to-go-tea is flower tea. because flower teas don't contain caffeine. such as blue butterfly pea, rose bud, safflower, chrysanthemum, and the best is chamomile tea.
I was looking for infos for a friend and wow! what a GREAT video! Thank you so much for sharing all these infos! Must help a lots of people! Blessings🙏
I wish I saw this 20+ yrs ago when I began my journey of finding the right treatment for my mental health issues. It would have spared me from all the side effects I suffered from various meds. I learned of many of these supplements after having suffered so much for so long but at least I am better now. This is very informative, thorough, precise, and easy to understand yet not condescending either. Lovely voice too! I love how we can see your certificate in the background, you are very professional, but the observant of us notice those action figures (or are they toys?) on the shelf beside you which is an indication that you also have a fun playful side which is great! Therapy bath: run hot water in tub, add (lavender)Epsom salts (aromatherapy), get some candles and light them. Then play white noise while you're still in the tub. When you go to bed, play the white noise again. Works like a champ!!
Look it up on the internet white noise videos. There's different kinds so you have to pick what's good for you. An example would be a howling wind in a winter storm or a rain storm. I like the one that sounds like static electricity cause you don't have to focus on it, it just like blots everything out. Actually it's a cure for insomnia but it can be used to promote relaxation. I didn't know it but soaking in Epsom salts is VERY good for stress. I recommended it to a few friends and it helped them. Good luck!
I take Passionflower and Chamomile daily to keep generalized anxiety at bay and it works very well for me. I drink chamomile tea 2x a day and Passionflower in the mornings as a tincture in water. If I touch Valerian, I get terrible anxiety and panic. Since I quit caffeine, my anxiety attacks have pretty much disappeared! The non-supplement tips on how to treat anxiety and retrain your brain are great. All common sense! I watched your playlist on anxiety over the last few days and am implementing the relaxation response exercises into my daily routine now, thank you so much! ♥
The supplement that helped me in 1 day (after 15 years of dealing with depression and anxiety) is 5-HTP (5-hydroxy tryptophan). I'm surprised you haven't mentioned it or at least amino acid tryptophan, which act as precursors to serotonin. So i'm adding it here for people to seriously consider. It really helps
@@sonaliaswani5250 I like nature made vitamins. It's pretty immediate. Don't take it if you take trazodone for sleep. Trazodone has 5-htp. Also may interact with other medications or grapefruit. I have no medical experience, just sleep and anxiety issues.
That long introduction is actually needed while providing this kind of information. You can also provide links to some research papers or use screenshots of abstracts and Title pages for those interested.
I have the best night sleep with a cup of celestial seasonings extra sleepy time tea before bed. It’s has double the amount of valerian as the regular sleepy time tea 🙂 Sometimes I mix Yogi brand stress relive with Kava. Always have theses teas in my pantry, along with sprouted pumpkin seeds.

My Ivy League-educated functional psychiatrist recommended Rhodiola, L-Theanine, GABA, and Mangesium Glycinate. I'd much rather take my chances with things like this than medications with a hundred side effects.
I would like to thank you for all the help and advice you have put out for free on UA-cam. I have struggled with anxiety for 4 years, I already understood a lot but the wisdom and encouragement you give has helped. God bless you.
Consider doing the following. I was able to resolve many of my mental and physical health issues by fixing my nutrition. Consider getting a magnesium supplement from a good supplement store. I use magnesium bisglycinate 400mg a day - 3 tablets throughout the day, last one before bed - helps great with sleep. There are great videos on magnesium and the 9 different forms you can take and which ones do what on the yt channels Dr. Eric Berg and Thomas deLauer. Learn about nutrition and the various and correct forms of nutrients and essential nutrients to take from the really good educational science based UA-cam channels Dr. Eric Berg and Thomas deLauer. I had many mental and physical health issues that I know were a direct result of malnutrition because when I researched / educated myself on nutrition, and then resolved and fixed my nutrition, almost all my symptoms went away. And they were significant. If I let my nutrition go now or go for too long, I can feel the symptoms creep back in. At the very least take a multivitamin (a whole foods based version if possible), and then, separately, 400 mg of magnesium bisglycinate daily, 5-10,000 iu of vit D3, vitamin K2, zinc piccolinate, vitamin c, potassium chloride 1500 mg, (I use cheap NuSalt salt substitute off the grocery shelf), and take all these with food and with some fat - as many of these nutrients are fat soluble - require fat to dissolve. If you want to get extra fancy, put a couple shots of raw apple cider vinegar and lemon in water to drink before every meal to help digest the protein and fat in the meal and absorb the vitamins and minerals into the body. If possible, add a Mediterranean diet, low in simple carbs and sugar, rich in fiber, compete protein, veggies, cruciferous veg, and healthy fats, like raw olive and avocado oil and omega 3s. Add a good sleep schedule, and weight bearing excercise, cardio and stretching, Weights make a significant lasting positive difference in my brain chemistry that I can feel. Add Emma's therapy courses free on this channel, meditation, and mindfulness, journaling and gratitude practices can help too. And if you really want to, make raw, homemade sauerkraut. It's a probiotic with lots of real whole vitamin c. And it helps the gut create lots of the brain's feel good chemical, serotonin for the brain. The gut is where it mostly comes from. Just a big mason jar, sliced cabbage, sea salt and ferment for 7-14 days. Recipes on UA-cam.

A few years age, I became depressed. Therapy didn’t work, but one doctor checked my blood and prescribed amino acids. Fast forward a week and I felt much better. I eat mostly vegetarian and don’t get enough amino acids, so every time I start to get irritated easily, I know it’s time to take some extra aminos. Works well for me!
@@BabaYaga534 Hi, I consulted Dr Spitzbart after reading a book he wrote. He tested my blood and I take a supplement from „pure“ with a combination of amino acids. That’s what it says on the box. My usual doctor finds nothing wrong with my blood and I think that’s because I live in Europe while Dr Spitzbart uses an American chart for diagnosing the blood. Sorry, I can’t explain it any better.. 🤷🏻♀️ But eating healthy really helps, too. I wish you the best!

St John's Wort was one of the worst things that ever happened to me - I tried it for depression and I thought I might need to be hospitalized for panic and anxiety. Immediately! It's a strong supplement, so be super careful!
I know that I wasn’t born with depression and anxiety. I spent the first 14 years and 2 deaths in my family but it was third family at 15 that started to have these health problems.
i go upstairs to the roof deck every morning 7am and get the sun for 30 minutes, and after beak fast ( just a bread and an almond milk )i rest for 40 minutes then dance man mix with jumping jack, shadow boxing and stretching and that's it and after lunch i took vit b complex with vit b3 on it , together with d3 and fish oil, that's my shield from my anxiety, and it works very very well, sun and exercise ( dancing involves all body work out) works perfectly no one can beat that
I was put on Xanax and it doesn’t work anymore but I don’t want to take more I actually want to get off of it but even more anxiety comes with that. Hoping I can implement natural healing techniques to support my body and root cause of severe anxiety and that will help the detox process. If there’s another video on this, I would love more info.
Me too, how did it work out for you,im taking 8mg of xanax a day and I know the horror of WD very well and ill do anything not to go through that again
Scale back very slowly. Use a pill cutter and cut back 25% at a time, or even less, and stay on the reduced dose for at last few weeks or longer before reducing again. I got myself off anti depressants and sleeping tabs doing this. All the best
The point with medication Is not only that patients dont want to use them but also they have serious adverse effects in many cases. We Therapists should not be afraid to say ir, many studies show these data
Loved passionflower- calming AND energy/good mood producing BUT it’s proven to cause irregular heart rhythm. After always having normal ECG’s, on passionflower my ecg was seriously abnormal. So please use with caution!
It may sound crazy but i actually fell asleep just by hearing your voice in 7 mins , my eyes automatically closed at about 3 am and i woke up at 9 am so got 5 to 6 hrs sleep feels little better thank you .
Sprouted brown rice is a natural source of GABA. It's frequently called GABA rice now as a health food. You can find it in Asian supermarkets. Besides having GABA, it actually tastes a lot better than regular brown rice.
This is seriously the BEST all-around videos I’ve found on this subject. Your disclaimer is perfectly informative and truthful, but you still deliver what you promised by naming the supplements we have most studies confirming some efficacy in relation to anxiety disorders. I really appreciate your work here.
Great information. Anecdotal experiences can be varied and misleading (including my own), so this objective take was nice to hear. On that note, I stopped caffeine and had no improvement in anxiety symptoms and so started it again and honestly the experience of daily caffeine has been an emotional net positive.
I noticed that St. John's Wort has positive effects when it is boiled over low heat for nine minutes. Although I heard that St. St. John's Wort should be boiled for nine minutes, I drank St. John's Wort without boiling for a long time, but I did not see much effect. Onion juice is incredibly gut and brain relaxing, but it is very difficult to drink onion juice. Onion juice creates a feeling of nausea and distress. But if you are patient after drinking onion juice, you will feel very relaxed after half an hour. Onion juice can be less nauseating if you drink it with yogurt. Onions are in layers. The intestines and brain are also in the form of layers. Our gut is our second brain. Cabbage is also in layers. This is my own personal experience. For this reason, I cannot guarantee anything. These days, I have some thoughts about taking a shower with cold water. Cholesterol, blood sugar and blood pressure "rise", fats "increase" by growing in the body, diseases multiply by "spreading" in the body and can threaten life. Fire multiplies and spreads by "rising" by its nature. The movement of the fire flame is from the bottom up. Fire burns and destroys. Diseases can be devastating if not controlled. "Water" puts out the fire. Fire gives "heat" and "heat". The opposite of heat and heat is "cold" and "coolness". The movement of water is from top to bottom. So the opposite of fire. Disease represents "fever" "heat" "destruction". Just like the flame of fire spreading uncontrollably. Illnesses are often the reward for sins. Sin is identical with hell and the devil. At least the suffering of illness does not belong to heaven because all suffering is in or reminds of hell. "Cold water" can lower the spreading, rising, destructive cholesterol, blood sugar, blood pressure, reduce body fat and cure or at least alleviate diseases. (This is just an assumption. Cold water can shock the heart. The truth is that cold water boosts the immune system, boosts metabolism and increases brown fat, which promotes fat burning. ) Plants growing below ground level, edible seeds, root crops are related to "down". These plants and roots can represent our organs such as stomach, kidney, intestines, which are located "under" our body, or it can be a sign that it will lower "down" by lowering high blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar. Increasing, expanding body fat and diseases are included in this. St. John's Wort may interact with medications. I've heard that St. St. John's Wort will not interact with drugs if it is boiled and drunk in small amounts like tea. Eating plenty of walnuts and almonds can be effective in depression. Walnuts are similar in shape to the brain, lungs and intestines. The gut is our second brain. Nuts such as walnuts and almonds have thick and strong shells. These strong shells protect the fatty tissue inside. It is fatty in our brain.(omega 3) Nuts can protect our brain and make it healthy.( walnuts and almonds) Almond shells are very hard. I am not talking about American almonds, because the shells of American almonds are thin. The holes on the almond shells resemble hair follicles. The green shell of the almond is soft and velvety like the hair. I liken walnuts to tortoises in shape. Land turtles live very long. Land turtles are very resistant to starvation for long periods of time. Walnuts can keep people full for a long time. Land turtles withdraw into their shells. In this way, tortoises are in the dark. Darkness evokes the night, the night evokes sleep, and sleep evokes serenity and peace. Walnuts increase the amount of melatonin in the blood three times. Melotonin is essential for regular and good sleep. The shells of tortoises are very hard, like almond shells, which are very hard. Honey is dense and slow flowing. Honey can slow you down. So honey can calm you down. Bees collect pollen from flowers by flying in nature and come back to the hive. Bees do not forget the location of their hives and they are very hardworking. Honey can strengthen your memory and give you the peace of life in nature. Honey never spoils. Honey can prevent your organs from deteriorating. When honey comes together with walnuts, almonds and hazelnuts that represent organs, it can prevent the organs it represents from deteriorating. Honey Walnut, Honey Hazelnut, Honey Almond... I don't speak English. I hope I write the sentences clearly.
Good video. Something to consider is the connection with parasites and anxiety. Parasites release toxins that mess up chemicals in the body, as well as deplete nutrients [Double-edged sword]. They also cause anxiety as the body is trying to live with a foreign invader. They are also more active during certain phases of their life cycle that can lead to increases in anxiety and other psychological conditions. Also the symptoms of a tapeworm infection are identical to Celiac. Toxoplasma gondii are is linked to IBS & Crohn's. Thanks!
I believe this! I was a health nut and overate and got myself into a stomach bug. It was so bad, I thought it was man made. After that, my health went really downhill. I got ulcers and became precrohns. So after much research, I realized I needed a supplement to kill off the mould in my system. It was simply caprilic acid. Well, within a month I got my appetite back, put on the weight and the really funny thing was when I went to the Allergy Specialist, they couldn't even see the mould allergy on my skin patch test. Wild right? That originally was my big trigger. I say, it matters to get the proper assessment. My hospital originally lost the sample of my first parasite test. And then I thought nothing was wrong with me for over a year! At the end of my healing journey, because Crohns is not in my family or anything, I realized finally many foods that had added Canola in it, they are the worst! Seriously, here in Canada, we are going blind off of it. I have asked my Specialists to admit it. Because I am not intolerant to organic wheat but anything with these cheap breads with horrible seed oils, guess what? Straight to the washroom! I would like to make a social media to talk about it. I feel one day the truth is out- Canola/Soy/Cotton Oils and many oils are neurodegenerative and the labs all know it but do the people know it?
Excellent video, thanks! One comment regarding magnesium - it has a lot of forms (chelate, malate, etc...) Would be useful to specify which form you were referring to.
I’ve tried 10 of these supplements. Currently taking Rhodiola Rosea (not on the list), L-theanine, bacopa (also not on the list) & GABA. If the anxiety is really bad, I occasionally take phenibut. They have helped to some degree, however my anxiety & panic is a beast. Working out does help decrease it as well. I’ve been dealing with this since I was 16. I’m all about natural remedies and I’m reluctant when it comes to meds (I’ve been holding on to an unused bottle of Zoloft/sertraline for almost a week), but I wonder if some people just have a natural imbalance that requires them? 🙋🏾♀️ Especially if there’s a history of imbalances in the immediate family. All I know for sure is that it’s been a battle. I’m drained & I’m tired.
Yes, some people really do require medication, but it’s always best paired with other strategies so that eventually you can find balance and hopefully not need the medication anymore. If you’re too scared to take it, I suggest joining a Facebook group for the medication and asking questions and reading about patient experiences. Then determine your main issues and take them to your doctor so you can discuss if it’s right for you and if there is a drug/treatment better suited for you and your wishes. You never HAVE to take anything. It’s good to be cautious and curious when putting new things in our body. If it’s more your style, see a naturopath.
of all those supplements that were mentioned (and believe me I've tried them all) , the L-Theanine seems to work the best, the most ineffective for me would have been individual vitamins
I don't know if this is useful but here goes: Consider a magnesium supplement from a good supplement store. I use magnesium bisglycinate 400mg a day - 3 tablets throughout the day, last one before bed - helps great with sleep. If you really want to experiment, the best magnesium form for the brain is magnesium threonate but it's expensive. The form I use has been all I need. If I let my nutrition go or go too long, I can feel the symptoms creep back in. At the very least take a multivitamin (a whole foods based version if possible), and then, separately, 400 mg of magnesium bisglycinate daily, 5-10,000 iu of vit D3, vitamin K2-M7, zinc piccolinate, vitamin c, potassium chloride 1500 mg, (I use cheap NuSalt salt substitute off the grocery shelf), and take all these with food and with some fat - as many of these nutrients are fat soluble - require fat to dissolve. These nutrients are not only essential but work together AND decalcify the arteries and soft tissues and put calcium back in the bones. Also, taking calcium supplements should be researched before taking because often their unnecessary AND it's an excitatory substance to the nervous system.

I know it takes several hours for you to put together these videos on top of all the research. I just discovered your site two days ago and you are helping me immensely. They always say "work with a doctor", but most doctors really are not willing to work with you if you want to use "alternatives" to mainstream medical approaches. They'll just tell you "there's no clinical evidence that this works" and leave it up to you. So how is that going to help? You're basically on your own.
One thing I did that relieved my anxiety so much was using a pre/pro biotic with a pure immunity molecule in it. I take it every night before bed and I take 3 immunity capsules each day and my anxiety is super manageable. If it gets bad during my cycle or just before I add in another great product they have. My friend recommended this stuff to me & I've never looked back!!!
Magnesium glycinate is usually suggested to help with anxiety and it’s supposed to help with relaxation. I take it and I’m not sure if it’s helping yet, but it doesn’t make me feel bad so that’s a good sign I believe. I’m also taking b complex, d3, probiotic with prebiotic, and omega 3. I have a lot of anxiety around taking medication and I had anxiety around supplements, but I feel like these are a fairly safe start. I eased into them. Took maybe two to start to make sure I felt fine then added as the weeks went on. I also had some deficiencies so I knew these specific supplements were needed. I hope you feel better soon 🙏🏼
@@leticialeann3315 Hi, how's it been since a month ago? Did these things get rid of your anxiety? I don't want to take the medication the doctors have prescribed (fear of the side effects), but I can't live with my severe anxiety and panic attacks, I need something. 😢
Saffron I take with my regular prescription and it noticeably helps with motivation. I take the amount used in the study: 15mg along with curcumin 250mg. I specifically sought out the same dosages that were effective in the studies. However, I don't find it affects anxiety, just helps with motivation so I think it affects depression more than anything else.

Hello, Thank you for making this video! L-Theanine (#13) was added to Web MD about 2 years ago. I have been asking it for over 10 years. It is also used to help folks when dealing with Insomnia, and also in some types of cancer. (It helps the Chemo, go into the cells where it's needed instead or running rampant). Please note: Theanine is also raises Estrogen levels (both men & women have Estrogen & Testosterone in their body).
Great info!! Thank you so much. I knew about some of these but I can't wait to actually make an effort and feel better. I know my diet has huge room for improvement so I'm optimistic about this helping.
can you do a video on what is going on with older women living alone who stay home all day. I have lived under three now, who chase every noise I make. I can't use the shower without them in there with me, or the kitchen. any change sends them stomping toward it. they get up and march around. I am getting anxiety and no rest

Best thing that helped my anxiety (after therapy of course) was improving my gut health by eating a whole food plant based diet. No more IBS woop woop. Loosing 50lbs also helped me feel better 😊
How do you do that what do you eat
Therapy bath: run hot water in tub, add (lavender)Epsom salts (aromatherapy), get some candles and light them. Then play white noise while you're still in the tub. When you go to bed, play the white noise again. Works like a champ!!
Hi can I ask what is white noise please
Look it up on the internet white noise videos. There's different kinds so you have to pick what's good for you. An example would be a howling wind in a winter storm or a rain storm. I like the one that sounds like static electricity cause you don't have to focus on it, it just like blots everything out. Actually it's a cure for insomnia but it can be used to promote relaxation. I didn't know it but soaking in Epsom salts is VERY good for stress. I recommended it to a few friends and it helped them. Good luck!
Did you try your therapy bath? Did it work for you?
Where can I get it from? I’m in the UK
I also use Tryptophan. I have cptsd-type anxiety. It helps me get to sleep at night and helps with anxiety during day. ❤️
She’s an agent of big pharma that’s why
Hi!
Which brand of 5-htp do you take
I am planning to buy one
How long does it take to work
@@sonaliaswani5250 I like nature made vitamins.

WOW....a bounty of wise and helpful advise IN A NUTSHELL
At 61, you have changed my world! Sincere gratitude, J.
I'm sick of anxiety and stress firstly since 1998,I was 34 years old,and urritative bowl, digesrive disorders,7 or 8 years, after an influenza, I got sick of an extreme fatigue, I take tranxene 10,and paroxetine 20 mg,but in the three late months I feel more anxiety and stress and fatigue too,so what happened to me exactly doctor? I'm a man of 48 years now from Algeria, and I discovered you lately, and I found you interesting to watch you and listen to you, so please advice me,I'm suffering so much daily, may god bless you.

Listening to your calming voice reduces anxiety. You are awesome.
Hi Sandy I'm also depressed, can you pls help me with what amino acids are you taking and are there any tests for that?
@@BabaYaga534 Hi, I consulted Dr Spitzbart after reading a book he wrote. He tested my blood and I take a supplement from „pure“ with a combination of amino acids. That’s what it says on the box. My usual doctor finds nothing wrong with my blood and I think that’s because I live in Europe while Dr Spitzbart uses an American chart for diagnosing the blood. Sorry, I can’t explain it any better.. 🤷🏻♀️
But eating healthy really helps, too. I wish you the best!
Try microdosing. I’ve microdosed mushrooms for about 3 years, I’d recommend it for everyone, look up Mush_trips on Instagram. There product helped me fight anxiety and depression. Thank me later

Don't forget about music! It's natural, organic and has amazing benefits on the brain health, reducing stress, anxiety and panic attacks! Stay Safe 💗

i go upstairs to the roof deck every morning 7am and get the sun for 30 minutes, and after beak fast ( just a bread and an almond milk )i rest for 40 minutes then dance man mix with jumping jack, shadow boxing and stretching and that's it and after lunch i took vit b complex with vit b3 on it , together with d3 and fish oil, that's my shield from my anxiety, and it works very very well, sun and exercise ( dancing involves all body work out) works perfectly no one can beat that
Thank you so much for this. You are amazing

Scale back very slowly. Use a pill cutter and cut back 25% at a time, or even less, and stay on the reduced dose for at last few weeks or longer before reducing again. I got myself off anti depressants and sleeping tabs doing this. All the best

Sprouted brown rice is a natural source of GABA. It's frequently called GABA rice now as a health food. You can find it in Asian supermarkets. Besides having GABA, it actually tastes a lot better than regular brown rice.
You left out L Tryptophan & 5 HTP. They are big players in mood enhancements.
Personally caffeine has an extreme affect on me, within ten minutes I’m visibly shaking. And feel very cracked out!
The truth is that cold water boosts the immune system, boosts metabolism and increases brown fat, which promotes fat burning. )
Plants growing below ground level, edible seeds, root crops are related to "down".
It is fatty in our brain.(omega 3)
Nuts can protect our brain and make it healthy.( walnuts and almonds)
Almond shells are very hard.
Thanks!
Yes you are absolutely correct!!! Having dogs may increase this too!
also Lyme disease causes anxiety. and you are so correct about parasites
Also, who else ran to their cabinet and took a vitamin after watching this ? 😁😂👍🏼
It’s funny I’ve got most of them

One comment regarding magnesium - it has a lot of forms (chelate, malate, etc...)
Would be useful to specify which form you were referring to.
Yes which form is easiest on the stomach? :)
Mag Biglysinate is superrior to Mag citrate. Mag Oxide is least beneficial
I know my mom has ocd..not diagnosed but I saw it growing up with my own eyes..sure thats why I have it so genes definitely plays a huge factor..

Hi, what kind of magnesium is best for depression and anxiety?
Magnesium glycinate is usually suggested to help with anxiety and it’s supposed to help with relaxation.

Is it good or bad that it raises estrogen?
