RIP Carrie Fisher (1956-2016).
How did I not know Steven Wright is an Oscar winner??!!???
That's because it's say at en.wikipedia.org/wiki/61st_Academy_Awards.
You can actually view the short film on You Tube!
So is Peter Capaldi
@@captainhaire yeah but that's not nearly as weird or interesting is it
R.I.P. Princess Leia. 🙏🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷
RIP Carrie Fisher
Carrie fisher is the love of my life
Short nominations and Martin Short. What a pun.
Carries absolutely beautiful!
Aww! I used to WATCH the Oscars!!
The shoes didn't stay! ;)
I like how at 4:00 you can see John Lasseter start to get nervous, he knows they are in big trouble if they don't mention Steve Jobs.
I couldn’t tell which one was Carrie and which one was Martin
I like the part when Martin Short says "Alright I''ll change but the shoes stay!" LOL
He walks pretty good in heels...I never did....
Never knew Steven Wright won an Oscar. Makes my day. Love the guy !
*_ooo, Marty with glasses_*
Wait a minute! Steven Wright has an Oscar!? Wow. DiCaprio must be pissed!
Dean Parisot winning with Steven Wright, went on to make Galaxy Quest.
“And the Oscar goes to Tin Toy, John Lasseter and William Reeves”
And thus, history was made. Pixar’s first Academy Award, John Lasseter’s first Academy Award and the first computer-animated short film to ever win an Academy Award
2:14 "Aw, so, what are you saying?"
Martin is so funny!
Wow look at Carrie Fisher!
Steven Wright has an Academy Award and it’s not only awesome, but we’ll deserved.
Steven Wright...friends call him Speed.
I tried for a long time to get a (non-bootleg) copy of this film and became convinced the reason it was so hard to find was that the American Psychiatric Association had bought up all the copies: it does no good to give people the idea their psychiatrists are making fun of them(and to get shot for it.)
Stephen wright thanked Johnny Carson!!!👍
And Peter Lassally, Carson and Letterman's producer.
Never again has the Short Films Oscars segment aged so well.
Holy shit! I never knew Steven Wright win an Oscar!
Rip Carrie
Now that's comedy
Good
They mixed up two the winners' names at the end.
R.I.P Steve Jobs. Pixar wouldn't be what it is without him.
Martin Short has beautiful legs. 😂
❤
Oh god, this was the Snow White year wasn't it? Boy, no wonder Bruce Vilanch kept writing this forever afterwards. This was baaaaaaaaaaad writing.
Yeah, Allan Carr produced the show that year, the only time he ever did.
Oh, my sweet Carrie...I miss her. I'm probably the biggest Carrie Fisher fan simply because I've always hated Star Wars. Like, it's just kind of embarrassing and dorky. I think she would have agreed with me. Well, maybe some days. :P R.I.P. sweet princess...this little bit brought such delight to just a few minutes of my Saturday morning.
It not properly award winner Minnie Mouse
Martin short is a cross dresser
It must be incredibly tedious to sit in the audience through the taping of an awards show. Just so painful. This clip here is a poorly written bit and an unusually lousy performance by two people who are usually hilarious - probably because the material they were working with is so terrible. Comedians have been doing “drag” bits since forever, but I can’t think of one that’s ever been funny because of the costume. It’s stupid. In this case, it does poke fun in a Carrie Fisher way at the dumb things people worry about, such as wearing the same outfit as someone else. But then they had nothing else to back up the gag. Oh well. Carrie kept trying to play it, though! She was a trouper!
