Dustin Hoffman deserved it. Definitely deserved it. Definitely Dustin Hoffman for his performance in the movie Rain Man.
he sounds like he's still in character
Just watched the movie. This Oscar was well-deserved. But it bugs me how he didnt mention Tom Cruise. Apart from his excellent acting skill, the person he co-starred with should also be a major factor for his success
Tom Cruise SHOULD have won for Best Supporting Actor opposite Hoffman for Rain Man. NO QUESTION. I just watched the movie again, and it's TOTALLY ludicrous that Cruise didn't even get nominated, it's his BEST work. They were BOTH amazing.
When the Oscar was the oscar
He's still not out of his movie character persona....Definitely one of the best performances of all time
for me i think tom cruise deserved an oscar for rainman.i think without him in that film hoffman would not have been as good
Did he receive the Oscar in character?
Dustin Hoffman's performance in Rain Man is one of the best performance in movie history. I still cry everytime I watch the movie
Watching Michael Douglas makes me think: The 1980's was a great decade!
He was the best driver in the room
Rain Man is really good at playing Dustin Hoffman.
I remember the next presenter who came out to do the next segment said that Hoffman was pulling his hair in the green room because he forgot to thank Tom Cruise.
The first time the now famous phrase: "And the Oscar goes to..." was used!
There's something incredibly calming and warm about his face.
Tom cruise was soo underated in this movie, very sad😔😔😔.
Dustin had researched Autism so thoroughly and was so careful to have the characteristics, it took him a long time to lose them all. Here, he was still in "Rain Man" mode.
Back when the Oscars celebrated CREDIBLE actors and performances.
When Dustin began talking I actually thought he was reinacting rainman -
In my opinion, Cruise should have been nominated. He also should have been thanked during Hoffman's speech.
