Unseen64 is an independent, non-profit online archive dedicated to the preservation of videogame history. Unseen64 contributors help document prototype, cancelled and unreleased videogames by archiving information, images, and videos for future reference and analysis. This video details the development of a prototype skateboarding game titled Sonic The Hedgehog Extreme. Sonic Extreme was developed by Vision Scape Interactive, and was originally developed without SEGA's consent. The project reused technology developed by Vision Scape for their Tech Deck Playset software, as well as a cancelled game based on Nickelodeon's Rocket Power cartoon. Vision Scape presented the pitch to Sonic Team's Yuji Naka, and Naka seemed to be impressed. Communication from SEGA broke down after this meeting however, and the project progressed no further. Around two years later, SEGA demonstrated their new title, Sonic Riders, which resembled Vision Scape's pitch. Vision Scape hoped that the project would find its way to Xbox, Gamecube, and PlayStation 2 (PS2) once it was finished.

The lesson here? Talk to your lawyers before your business partners.
D.C. Stranded Don't trust no one, not even your contractual fine print. 😆
D.C. Stranded Those damn lawyers cost a fortune.
For this very reason
another lesson here: power corrupts and people are assholes
Unfortunate that Sega just dropped Vision Scape like that. At least the people of Vision Scape were able to move forward with their lives. Still, a Sonic game where you do tricks on a skateboard is a pretty cute idea and definitely goes in line with the character's personality.
maugos that's basically what Riders is but Riders has racing.
Thank you Captain Obvious.
maugos you were the one who asked for what already exist.
They are similar but this game was meant to be a skateboard park style game while Riders is a racing game. I was simply pointing out that since it's similar to Riders this one would have worked too.
Where are the remnants of the people who worked at Vision-Scape now...!?
So Sega fucked them out of their concept. Wow.
With Sonic Free Riders bombing and being hated by everyone who played it, I don't think that's a victory they are proud of.
Well Sonic is their IP and Visionscape did create this without thier permission no matter how you look at it.
Igorcastrochucre if everyone hated it then why does it have 3 games? the only one that is hated is Free Riders and that's primarily on the Kinect itself being a buggy mess.
people with time and patience like the original Riders for it's complex mechanics and sense of style while those who don't like Zero Gravity much better.
GamermanReviews not to mention that riders is a class based racing game while visionscape developed a typical sandbox skating game.
I've only played the second one, but I didn't hate it.

ironically the silence speaks volumes
even if that action is entirely legal, i'm genuinely somewhat disappointed in sega after watching this
Wait, so they were told to work more on it, then were just ignored for years? What a dick move by Sega.
no, they told the team to write up a design document and the total cost of the project, and then ignored them for years.
No Sega Thinks It Could Be A Tony Hawk's Pro Skater Style Game
Vin S Sega has a history of dicking every company it works with over.
IRD Studio
Sounds more like Nintendo, since that's why we have the Playstation now.
+Cartard That's still leading them on. The most charitable outlook you can reasonably take is that they failed to adequately inform the dev when the situation changed. Rude at best.
I woulda played the shit outta that as a kid
die well technically they already released a hoverboard racing game series titled Sonic Riders. the game kind of has a learning curve to it though.
die Wow, I really want to know where you got that profile picture
***** Judging by the sales, 1m for each instalment. So plenty of people do like the series.
die Me too. I played many games similar to Tony Hawk at that time.
Jonathan Zuniga ikr
I'm not gonna lie, this could be an interesting game
Ocean Man sonic riders?
Should finish video before commenting
Yeah, Sonic Riders is pretty neat
Wow.. I'm kind of on the fence about this.
On SEGA's end, that was kind of a scummy move. They took the idea a small company presented them with, despite all the help they had given them on the animation front for Heroes. Then, they turned it into a game without letting the original company know or involving them. That sucks.
On the other hand, they were legally allowed to do so? And Riders is a great series- It didn't end up as a generic Tony Hawk clone.
Still kind of sad, though.
I wish both of them could’ve just co-existed
I wonder if Sega just so happen to be working on another boarding game at the time but Yuji Naka just wasn't aware of either.
I would’ve ATE that shit up ngl
I guess karma circled around when Free Riders ruined the franchise.
TeckGeck
Ok.
Yep, I suppose so. I mean, Riders sucked right from the start, so...
TeckGeck it could've been okay if they didn't go around to making it a Kinnect game
yep
I know this is kind of an unpopular opinion, but I liked the first 2 riders games. The gameplay was pretty good, if a bit difficult to grasp at first.
*Plot twist* : Sonic skate boarding was a demo for a Tony hawk game to guest star Sonic.
plot twist: Tony Hawk IS Sonic the Hedgehog
They should have called the game Sonic's Underground
Isn't that already a thing tho?
LoneWolf the furry That's the joke...
Aaaaa I get it
sonic's already underground. as in, dead, getting fucked in hell by OCs.
more like 6 feet underground
So basically Tony Hawk with Sonic?
Banjo Kazooie I guess you could call it Sonic's Underground ;^)
Mystic Melody this comment holds more weight than most people would think.
I AM GAMER I'm getting comments from people who either don't know what Sonic Underground is or what Tony Hawk's Underground is lol
Mystic Melody yea, back in the day when Steve Urkel (jaleel white) played all three voices on that show, me and my kids watched that show recently. I forgot the green hedgehog name who played the drums. that's a throwback cartoon
I AM GAMER it's also actually pretty good, depending on the episodes you watch. Some episodes are bad like the racing one, but some like Sonia's Choice are really, really good.
Hey, everyone. Liam here. I'm the creator of the Unseen64 videos on the channel. Let me know if you have any questions and please enjoy the video!

+Mr Flash Lmao he's not lying at all, just do some quick checks and you can see he is the real deal.
Liam Robertson - Game History Guy love your videos, but what inspired you to make these kind of videos
What's up with the increase in uploads?
Fake and gay
Sounds like some shady dealings for SEGA to nab someone else's concept with no formal or informal credit. Even if the legalities allowed them to, it just seems immoral to me.
Although, I did actually very much enjoy Sonic Riders on the Gamecube back in the day so at least SEGA did something decent with the idea they allegedly took.
The only similarity between them was the two games was the use of hover-boards. The hover-board idea was also used in Back to the Future, along with a Japan only game "Back to the Future 2", so the idea isn't revolutionary or new.
As the video states, SEGA didn't really steal anything. They may have been inspired SEGA to make a Sonic game with hover-boards, but even then, how can you prove it?
Legally Sega didn't HAVE to credit them, since Vision Scape surrendered the idea to Sega the moment they showed the demo, if Vision Scape read the contract and waited until after the contract expired, they would of had the rights to the game.
I know SEGA had the legal right to do so, that's not my point. My point is that if Sonic Riders was a sort of ripoff of someone else's ideas, regardless of how legal it would've been, it's shady as fuck.
That one dude who posts stuff Rereading the contract beforehand or waiting for it to expire wouldn't have helped Visionscape at all. The reason they presented the concept to SEGA was the hopes of making a Sonic game. Without SEGA they could have still made a similar game but with no iconic characters to get people's attention or had to try and pitch it to another company to get some other iconic characters. SEGA on the other hand most likely considered this and that is why they stayed silent about it which while legal is incredibly shitty.
Liam, Thanks for the video!!! My family and I loved it. My oldest son sent me the link today. My kids are grown now but they remember playing the game when they were young. For what it's worth, they loved playing it back in the day and they didn't like everything that we made, so if it is worth anything, it was fun for them and that's enough for me. Your video brought back some great memories.
So your viewers are clear. I have no hard feelings for Sega. I worked for them for many years. Before I started VSI. I was a Sega employee for almost 6 years. We knew pitching them on us (VSI) making a Sonic game was a long-shot, but lets not forget that you miss 100% of the shots you don't take. NDA or not, it was worth a try.
Wow, nice Sega. "Wow, this concept is great, thanks for putting this together." 2 Years later: "Hey, everyone , check out this new, original game we made! This is ours!"
City Escape is one of the best Sonic Stages, I love the boarding section.
Why would sonic need a skateboard when he can literally run faster than anything alive?
Pfff dude that makes no sense, why would Sonic run? HE HAS A CARRR
danhjnny Because skateboarding is radical
presumably to even the playing field with his friends so they can compete.
Why was he snowboarding in the middle of summer in the streets of a city
shut up it would be cool
Rolling around at the speed of sound
Got places to go, gotta follow my rainbow
Can't stick around, have to keep movin' on
Guess what lies ahead, only one way to find out
Must keep on movin' ahead
No time for guessin', follow my plan instead
Trusting in what you can't see
Take my lead, I'll set you free
Follow me - set me free - trust me
And we will escape from the city
I'll make it through, follow -
Follow me - set me free - trust me
And we will escape from the city
I'll make it through, prove it to you
Follow me
Danger is lurking around every turn
Trust your feelings, gotta live and learn
I know with some luck that I'll make it through
Got no other options, only one thing to do
I don't care what lies ahead
No time for guessin', follow my plan instead
Find that next stage no matter what that may be
Take my lead, I'll set you free
Follow me - set me free - trust me
And we will escape from the city
I'll make it through, follow -
Follow me - set me free - trust me
And we will escape from the city
I'll make it through, prove it to you
Follow me
Follow me
I'll make it through,
Oh, yeah.
Erick Perez Fuck off
why should he F*?$ off? there's nothing wrong with it
Wow, there is a lesson to be learned here for budding companies. That is insane!
Sonic Extreme was made available for everyone to play, if you have an Xbox with 128mb of RAM, double the retail. Unfortunately, no Xbox emulator is far enough along to play the game on the PC. Enjoy the video and the game!
Having it in a contract that if you submit an idea with our stuff to us, it's ours, I can understand... Not saying a word to explain that afterwords, and just ignoring them, that's just cold.
that would be so cool but unfortunately the game would have probably sold better in the early 2000s
Post Dreamcast Sega were jerks. But they seem to be on the right path for now, cross your fingers for a more friendly future Sega.
SEGA PIT It's funny how Sega acquiring Atlus finally knocked the company back to its senses.
TheSackboy14 Except that Sega of America moved in with Atlus after the Index Corporation acquisition so that's not even true anymore.
SEGA PIT Friendly company? Wow this is childish, if you actually worked in any game company you would know that they're all the same when it comes to these kind of shady deals.
nah, they never been nice tbh
Cute Bots That debt was fixed when they merged with Sammy Corporation in October 2004.
This is most certainly a contender for Top 10 Anime Betrayals
ratio
I know people are going to say "Fuck Sega" and "Sega screwed these guys over" which pretty true here. But sadly, this is Pretty common in the Video Game Industry. Nintendo did the same thing with Star Fox 64 by cancelling Star Fox 2, stealing the assets of the game all together and Making 64 without any consent of the original team. Also when Miyamoto rejected the entire idea of Mario being a 3d platformer but when the same person who suggested it, the creator of Croc, was making Croc , Miyamoto was working on Super Mario 64 behind the person's back basically stealing his idea. It sucks bigtime yes, but Video Game Companies do this all the time. It's all in the legal contracts
Sega didn't steal anything, people are just bitching cause it's Sega. Nintendo actually stole concepts from third party developers, and no one gives a single shit about it.
One company's' wrongs don't excuse another's. They absolutely did steal this idea and thats all there is too it.
You are literally saying this under a comment where someone very visibly gives a shit. And I give a shit too. Both Sega and Nintendo are assholes and there is no reason to defend either of them doing this shit.
I mean hell I love Sonic way more than I ever gave a damn about Mario but that doesn't mean I'm gonna white knight for Sega.
Sega didn't steal anything from the developers of the cancelled Sonic Extreme. Sonic Extreme and Sega Riders are "boarding games" and feature hoverboards, that is all they have in common. I guess we could argue Naughty Dog and Rare "ripped off" Nintendo because Crash Bandicoot and Banjo-Kazooie have power slam attacks like Mario. A few minor similarities don't mean it's a rip-off.
Did you miss the part where they had a meeting with Sega and pitched the idea and didn't hear from them for 4 years after? Or the part where Sega stayed silent about this rather then set any records straight if this was untrue? Or the part where other companies like Nintendo are known to do shit just like this?
Really that comparison only shows how you completely missed or ignored the details in this situation. The problem here isn't even related to ripoffs.
Both you and I know the games are very different mechanically and Extreme is more like Sonic Pro Skater than Riders. The problem here is Sega made off with someone else's idea, told them they wanted to work with them on it, gave them the cold shoulder for years, and then used the idea themselves without even having the decency to tell anybody they made deals with previously.
The common link between this kind of behavior seems to be Japanese companies, which is ironic given that during the game 'Console Wars,' the American branch of Sega wanted to do more aggressive campaigns, but Japan said no...
This is the only channel and only guy that I know on UA-cam that gets his information from more than just an online search. I think it's great that he actually speaks to the people involved and gives us information that cant be found outside of the channel.
This just makes me want to go play Sonic Riders. Man I really enjoyed that and Zero Gravity.
A similar thing happened to a company called Argonaut Games
They showed Nintendo a concept for a 3D openworld Mario game.
Nintendo looked at it and rejected it.
What game would Nintendo release a few years later?
.
.
.
.
.
Mario 64
Okay, let me understand this. The second that Nintendo rejected Argonaut's idea of a 3D openworld Mario game was the second that they lost any opportunity to make a 3D openworld Mario game ever on the N64? Yeah, no, what kind of weird logic is that?.
Why are you defending a morally corrupted, infamously greedy company that doesn't give two shits about ya?
I mean, Nintendo making a 3D Open World Mario game was logical at the time. After all, it was the next big step for video games. It would be natural for a gaming icon like Mario to make the leap forward.
I don't know if the design documents Argonaut presented were any similar to the final built, but at least now I don't think it's shady or even a logical correlation.
*LMAO I drew something in my childhood and that was literally a skate game. I even created a logo "Sonic Hawk" xD*
*THEY STOLE MY IDEA!*
2:36
THQ... I haven’t heard that company since Drawn To Life: The Next Chapter
brings back memories
Surprised you didn't mention that this game shares a similar name to the cancelled Saturn Sonic game, Sonic Xtreme.
I guess it was too obvious, and not very related.
I mean, they're one letter away from each other,
but very different. So yeah, seems like the right call
So glad this series is back. Keep it up!
The game looks pretty fun, only real issue is how sonic and shadows legs shrink, but I wish this was released
this is one of the best videos on videogame history ive seen for awhile.
I can see that as a pretty dick move but I cant help but be happy it happened. Their concept looks pretty bad compared to sonic riders on GC.
I just love the metal harbor music in the background. one of the best music tracks in SAB2
For a prototype made in "about a week", Sonic Extreme looked AMAZING! Those animation cycles were silky smooth for an Xbox game.
"Possible link between Extreme and Riders"
Like there's a possible link between J Michael Straczynski pitching his idea of a space-station that was trying to create peace between aliens, who was commanded by Space Jesus, to Paramount, several months before they went forward with their totally new and completely original idea of a new Star Trek series about a space-station that was trying to create peace between aliens, who was commanded by Space Jesus.
This is going to be one of those "We both know what happened, but i'll be the bigger man here." situations.
This was fascinating! Also Sega is savage damn.
Sonic has so much attitude and personality in that thumbnail art, he looks so dynamic and "good edgy". That's the Sonic I remember, what a far cry from how he and the series are now 😢
I love how when you mentioned toys to life games, you didn't mention Skylanders, despite that being the one that started the trend. I don't like to admit its existence either!
Excellent piece of work. It's fantastic to see the gaming community working together to preserve - and dig up - videogame history. To everyone involved in the making of this video: Kepp up the good work! :)
too bad it never came out, it seems like it would've been a succes
I bought like a dozen or so tech deck characters as a kid. I even have that sumo one, but I never got the games with them. Didn't even know there was one.
Also didn't know they made a blood tech deck. 4:03.
And then they made Sonic Riders, which is a skateboard racing game without wheels and much faster.
3:13 makes crushing rocks seems such a breeze
i can't believe sega stole that idea,& through a legal loophole can't be sued for it.#SegaSux
And this is how Sonic Riders was born.
first Miyamoto from nintendo steals the coding for starfox and croc 1 to create super mario 64 and the basis for legend of zelda's physics(UPDATE: The starfox code was stolen for starfox 64, the code was reused for zelda so... they stole code and then reused stolen code. It's a double Whammy!); now sega's stealing ideas from visionscape.
Well that's kind of proves it then, no matter now nice a company might appears, they all have a dark side. It's just some show it more than others. (It doesn't mean we can't like their games, just that we need to bare in mind nobody is without fault.)
I always tought that Super Mario 64 doesnt fit for the first pass to 3D of Mario. It has barely anithing to do with the past games gameplay. The only thing relatable are the enemies.
Psycho Doodle but it seems more okay for nintendo because those IP belong to them.
Psycho Doodle can you please provide some source? This is the first time I hear something like that. Especially because Miyamoto is a game designer, not a developer...
I think that they are referring to a Fact Hunt video.
Well... you just need to investigate a little about the game industry to know its full of this stuff, basically, every success on the market its a stolen work or idea from someone else that don't have that much of influence, everyone in the industry (specially the big guys) stole ideas of everyone and dont deserve that much credit if not any
It's a shame this never came to light. As far as Sonic Riders, I don't think that Riders ripped this off much. It pretty much only used the idea of hoverboards, everthing else plays strikingly different, as Riders went for more of a mario kart model while this was going more Tony Hawk.
WOW.
I guess what happened during 06' was karma.
Honestly, that demo just looks like a slow version of Tony Hawks with hover boards. Sonic Riders (well the first one), was a fantastic fast-paced racing gaming.
I don't really see much link between Extreme and Riders, asides from the fact they use hover boards. Riders is a racing game, and Extreme is more like a mini sandbox Tony Hawk skate game. Which by the way, I would have been ALL OVER XD
I think the shadiest part of the whole deal is Sega refusing to contact the devs after they've submitted the design documents. They could have just given them a call and said "your pitch seems too expensive and we'd rather have our internal studios working on a Sonic game, sorry" - but they didn't, so when Riders came out it felt like they took the core idea of a Sonic hoverboard game from another dev and ran away with it like a common thief. A little bit of transparency on Sega's side would have helped to clear the air.
This could be a really interesting concept for a Sonic game, especially because of Sonic fits with skateboarding, but still preffer Sonic Riders and Zero Gravity.
"Oh no, they stole an idea that we stole from Tony Hawk games!"
This feels remarkably similar to when Argonaut pitched a 3D Yoshi game to Nintendo and they were enthusiastic, then said nothing afterward to them, then made their own game with the same concept without the other studio's involvement.
Except that in both cases people are way too quick with their finger-pointing.
People are actually saying Sega stole an idea from a third party developer. Oh my, this is hilarious. Sonic Extreme and Sonic Riders have only a few things in common, both are "boarding games" and feature hover boards. That's pretty much it. They didn't blatantly steal anything. In fact, Sonic Riders is actually fairly unique in the "boarding games" genre whereas Sonic Extreme while looking good, is little more then Tony Hawk with Sonic and friends in it. You know what company actually stole assets from a third party developers? Nintendo did, Star Fox 64 and Super Mario 64 exist cause Nintendo ripped off Argonaut Games. The only reason Nintendo doesn't get flack is because its Nintendo.
I mean, i'm not gonna excuse Sega of stealing, it seems impossible to tell without more inside info, but it's totally disingenuous to say that the only shared aspect was the boards. You don't have to bend the truth to get your point across. Extreme was planned to have both racing and battle modes, which were structurally super similar to what ended up being in Sonic Riders.
Hey look, a Sega fanboy! Wow! Such a rare specimen! I actually thought they were extinct. This has to be the highlight of the safari, folks, make sure you take plenty of pics.
Tech Deck were like the fidget spinners of the early 2000s
Everyone had one.
almost
I remember those commercials. The toys always looked weird to me. They're supposed to be, what, thumbs with feet?
Honestly, this looks pretty boring, I'm glad with what we got. Tony Hawk games are fun and all but this just looks really bland compared to Riders.
It's a prototype slapped together in a week. A proof of idea, a basic sketch. If the project had been approved by Sega, it'd be expanded and improved past that point.
This is a prototype that was made in a week.
Going by other Tony Hawk games I have played that were made around that same time, I doubt it would have been much different in terms of how fun it is even as a complete game.
Dude I really enjoy this particular content
My sonic haiku
I see sonic.
I scream at my screen.
not in joy.
EDIT: For fuck sake, I know I messed it up lmao. Here's a real one:
When I see sonic,
I just look at my damn screen,
just shaking my head.
that yoshi
Because you hate Sonic? Thats nice.
that yoshi 5 7 5, not 3 5 3. Nice haiku though, otherwise.
Edit: Technically 4 5 3 but why am I being so anal over a YT comment? o.o
Ike Okereke no not hate, just his brain dead fans.
sonic video
it makes me scream at my screen
not in joy, but pain
Yeah but 7 words, would lead into a paragraph, you know?
I really wanted a Sonic skateboarding game when I was a kid. I would have loved this.
this game looks better than sonic riders. I like the prototype. too bad Sega was in the interest of saving money :(
Allison Brantley
So, Sonic Riders isn't good?
Ike Okereke decent game
Ike Okereke Kinect. I don't need to say more.
Marco Fantasy
That is Sonic Free Riders.
Ike Okereke didn't say it wasn't good, I just like this prototype more.
Good job, Liam, this was entertaining.
>4 minutes in, still talking about Rocket Power
Wasn't this supposed to be about a Sonic game?
I always thought Sonic Riders was made to cash in with the new generation.
Never would have guessed they practically took the idea from another company.
*BOOSTPADS*
My birthday today and a nice video to watch at the end of the tiring day 😉
Fucking Wow. Some real bastards at Sega.
Legally they had every right and Vision Scape is in the wrong for revealing the prototype during the NDA period.
holy fuck bare knuckle grind looks actually good.
We got the masterpiece Sonic Riders... why is everyone complaining?
I remember playing the Rocket Power game when I was young, it was actually kinda fun. I remember there being a cool Tak and the Power of JuJu Easter egg in one of the levels
Time to check the comments for people complaining about SEGA ripping off and how "typical" it is of Sonic
I know right. Nintendo actually stole stuff and they get no flak whatsoever.
Thomas Ruth Did they steal your candy poor baby?
Nah, Nintendo ripped off Argonaut Games when it came to the development of Super Mario 64 and Star Fox 64, as Nintendo stole their 3D assets.
What a total rip off of THPS, very typical of the sonic series.
Also there's a clever way to ape a franchise and then there's a blatant way.
This looks like so much more fun than Sonic Riders it freaking hurts...There's an alternate reality where this game happened and I'm envious of that place.
Gotta comment fast
Oh man, getting such a blast of nostalgia from Bare Knuckle Grind!!! Tech Deck Dudes were great
Let's be honest, it probably would've been shitty too
Disappointed Turtle It looked fine. I don't know what you're talking about. Personally, I'd play the shit out of that game!
Disappointed Turtle
How do you know that it was shitty in the first place?
If that demo was made in a week I'd love to see what they would have done when funded. If it was on par with the Tony Hawk games at the time (Or hell, even the surprisingly good Rocket Power games) it would have been vastly superior to Riders
Kevin Thompson it wouldn't have been Superior to Riders because Riders is a completely different Beast than the typical skating game.
TimeLierG because it's Sonic
That digital playset seems fun as fuck
Who else is hyped for Sonic Mania?
Hell yea!
me
Cute
I swear i see you everywhere...
SupaPixelGirl I bought the $70 collectors edition
I'm super hyped, fam.
Vision Scape: I made this.
SEGA: You made this?
SEGA: ...I made this.
LAST! Nailed it!
So the animation group that did those Sonic Heroes FMVs also worked on Tech Deck Dudes and Butt Ugly Martians cartoons?
Boy, learned something new every day.
and that is how sonic riders is better.
I liked how they picked the two best songs from Sonic Adventure 2 for the demo
hey all
Hey man. How's it going?
Fantastic yourself?
Pretty good! I'm playing a lot of Castlevania and Fire Emblem recently. Been trying to get into Final Fantasy too.
What have you been up to recently?
shupasopni Mainly work haha! but some fifa rocket league even some Mario on the snes :D
Ohh nice! I've heard of Rocket League before but never gotten to play it since I have a mac. That's a competitive multiplayer sorta game right? You pretty good? Getting some good rankings?
And that's pretty cool. I've never really been into sports games or Mario myself (ironically I'm more into Sonic). I understand Mario's a classic though. Hows that one hold up?
Reminds me of a concept I had as a kid during the height of THPS's popularity called "Sonic Skate Park."
mario's better
Well, duh.
I HAVE A FUCKING ICON FUCK GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS that's obvious.... for now
+I HAVE A FUCKING ICON FUCK GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS Oh great more of you fucking trolls.
uhhhhhh okay?
iPhone is the best console, and nobody could ever fucking speak against it. When I first got an iPhone, I was so excited that I wouldn't be trashy anymore. I got so many friends with the iPhone 5C's stunning colors and sexyness, and that isn't even half of it. It has over 30 GB worth of data. I was able to store, if I recall, 10,000 photos and it would only take up 4 gigabytes. It would play games that would seem laggy to a console and turn it into a lagless portable experience. I am a true fucking gamer, I play Angry Birds, Fruit Ninja, Flappy Bird, and Clash of Clans daily, I can message friends and stay up to date, I can talk to people with my face and always remember how my friends looked like, I can take endless photos with no worry about using data, and I could browse infinite pages of the internet, which a shitty console can't do. The PC, Wii, PS4, and Xbox 1 can't do any of this shit. Compete with that, consoletards. Also, nice trolling fucko, with you're not including you're fucking iPhone, get your facts strate Android fuckers.
Gunna be honest though, Sonic Riders was pretty dope as a kid.
Great video has always Liam. I would find it very very fascinating to hear these behind-the-scenes tidbits regarding certain games. I can really appreciate the time and research you put into making these videos. Definitely enjoy them, so please make sure to make more! Great work good sir. :D
Thank you!!
Me: "Sonic Riders Zero Gravity" sounds like it was a nod to the cancelled "Rocket Power Zero Gravity Zone" nice to see SEGA at least reference them. You take what you can get in this life.
Also Me: Jet The Hawk could have been skating around like Tony Hawk. SHAME
its like the failed sonic games wouldve been the most iconic and popular if they were released
Yea, Sega straight up jacked the concept. Sure, the final product is likely vastly different than what Vision Scape was going for, but still, the Riders series might not have existed if they hadn't pitched Extreme. Sneaky Sega.
Jesus, I didn't think Sonic could possibly go any slower. Even the games it's ripping off are faster.

Its crazy knowing that is one of Sweet Tooth's minions from Twisted Metal 4 lol
TIL there were two Sonic extreme cancelled games, and boi does it look slower than THPS, and it's a goddamn Sonic game
Wow... For a prototype, this game looks so good!
this is like convincing an artist to DM you the HD version of their artwork and then blocking them
This whole situation sounds like the one between Croc (a.k.a. 3D Yoshi game) and Super Mario 64.
