INSTALLING WHEEL SPACERS | 1976 K5 CHEVY BLAZER

- No idea what wheel spacers are? Join the club! Back in the day Chevy had the wheels in the back closer together than in the front. For someone like Jesse, this bugs the crap out of him! He's all about those straight lines.
We picked up these wheel spacers off Amazon for $50 or so and slapped them on. It's a subtle change (that honestly most people wouldn't even notice) but a super fun, cheap upgrade for us.
As always, thanks for watching, liking, and commenting. We appreciate your support!

You 2 are so stinking adorable! Years ago(I'm talking 46) we had a Nova. The front tires were so big,if you didn't turn a corner just right, you'd have to reverse a bit and try again 😉. Boy oh boy,we thought we were so cool, lol.Brought my first baby home in that car! Yikes, I'm old🤣! Fun to see your projects!🤗hugs from Missouri.
Haha that's awesome. We're loving the many project on the Blazer...so fun wrenching on an old vehicle.
5 hours of EMI is how i was introduced to Never Dull, hahaha ⚓
Haha!
Niceee
🤙
that looks much better
Just put half inch spacers on our 2000 Silverado and it makes all the difference. Lines are everything when it comes to the aesthetics.
Such a stud.
Agreed
How are these wheel spacers working for you? Heard so many different comments good and bad. It’s always best to hear from actual examples. Thanks
Time will be the true test but so far they work perfectly. They fit just right, ride smooth, and give me the look I want. They’re very light weight and easy to install. I’d give them 5 stars.
Good way to kill a ratchet. Harbor Freight has 4-way lug wrenches, and impact wrenches.
I'm loving the chrome wagon wheels.
So, when you were in the Navy, what was your Rate?
I just put a Napa steering box on my blazer and it was worse then before, after a little research I found out that they started buying gheif gear boxes from china so I returned it and got a redhead steering box and what a huge diffeeence and the price was almost the same
Interesting! Glad it worked out in the end.
how safe are those spacers are from coming down the road
Good question! Never had any issues after the install but we have since sold the blazer
You need to put longer wheel studs on the truck and get a centering ring. Those nuts or only on the studs halfway, ask me how i know your wheel will fall off...
Haha, thanks for the tip!
Loctite fixes that problem.
Interesting! I owned a 74 K5 and I never knew that the rear track width was narrower than the front track with. Looks good when you were finished. Thank you
Thank you!!
Not a real Chevy guy 😂
@@KuusFaddah_44 True I'm more of a Toyota guy. I like reliability . That Chevy K5 I had for less than a year I couldn't wait to get rid of it. 😂
@@brianlee6849 i mean when you got a 74 yea 😂😂😂 still a nice truck … I got about 5 Toyotas an a few Chevys 💯🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
@@brianlee6849 I’ve had my Chevys for over 12 years now maybe replaced the alternator an a fuel pump off the block … a truck is more reliable when you actually fix her up
Holy shit! That wheel spacers had like 4 threads holding them on!! You can’t put spacers on stock k5 studs they rip off.
3 years later still going strong 🤞🏼
That doesn't make sense.
What size wheels if you don’t mind me asking? Looks great!
33x12.5R15
What size of lift do you have ?
I love your blazer
Rookie move to put spacers 😂 shits gonna have you stuck on the side of the road one day ….
3 years later still going strong!!
@@willzbillzfam 😭😂 let’s see you hit a jump 🤣🤣🤣

@@KuusFaddah_44 I'll add this to the list of NPC remarks about vehicle mods.
@@hastyhillfarmand4x480 seen too many fails because of it …
Nice video thx. Can i ask what is the brand of your step bar, did you instal those buy yourself and finally : was it easy? cheers
They came with it when I bought it. I’ve since sold the Blazer and don’t recall the brand. Sorry I couldn’t be of more assistance!
They worked out fine for me in the short time I drove around with them. I ended up realizing that 2 inch spacers on each side in the back is what I needed to make it even with the front.
Should be 1 to 4 threads showing beyond the lug nut
Good to know!
bro you need to look further than Napa. way better aftermarket options for way less
Good to know. Sadly our options were limited up in AK!
You should go with some 15x12 wheels and they will look better and stick out without the spacers. Those are the wheels I always ran on 4x4 square bodies.
Good to know, thank you!
Those stt pros looks awesome!!! What size are they?
33x12.5R15
@@willzbillzfam what size lift you dont mind me asking..im running 33x12.5r15 also on my blazer but i was thinking of going up to 35’s but not sure if it’s worth it.
@@armygreenfj3924 I'm not quite sure, purchased it like that. There actually might not even be a lift 🤷♂️. Best of luck!
Link or part number to the spacers. This video is amazing
Thank you! They were 2" spacers. Here's the amazon link, www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01FF1VCY6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
no offense, but aluminum spacers on a 5000 pound truck?
thats a given "no-no". and lets not even get into how its going
to kill your wheel bearings... i have a K5 as well, though ive
swapped 8 lug axle is it had the same 'too short' rear end look.
i ran custom 8 lug staggered 15x12 rear and 15x10 fronts
(same tires) and ground caliper slightly to fit 15" rim.
it brought it close to even--and zero strength/safety issues.
Totally. Your way is much better of course but more expensive than our hack. We never had an issue with the spacers but then again, we had to sell it because we were moving out of state :( Will take your advice into consideration on the next K5 we buy 👍
Hiw many inch spacers n the rear ? Thanks .. 👍
2 inch spacers to make the back even with the front.
@@willzbillzfam thanks ... 🙏👍
@@willzbillzfam even with a 1989 k5?
Are your wheels 15x10?
Yes!
Need to be tighten way more
Good call. Don't want the wheels falling off.
What the offset on the wheels?
Not sure what it was on these wheels. My guess is around an inch and a half offset.
