hy willz peter here from the cayman island have the same truck just a bit newer 91 had the same issue where the back was lower than the front also with a 4'' lift i remove one spring from the front and it was fine also had to change the steering arm and pitman arm it trow the whole steering out of vac enjoy the noise from the plains
Do not measure the ride height from the floor to the wheel wells. The rear wheel well is approximately 2 inches lower than the front from the ground. Having the right height set based off of the wheel well openings will give you a forward rake which will effect the caster angle built into the front axle. Makes them drive horrible
Love the truck. I’ve got a couple squares. The tint turning purple means it’s really old that’s all. I used a razor and it came off no problem. I kept no tint on mine. As for the “rake” you’re looking for. The back wheel wells are not even with the front from the factory so even though it looks like it’s squatting. It actually isn’t. Maybe you already know this, not sure. If it’s rake you’re going for then cool. Keep the blazer videos coming!
The narrower rear end track on the Blazers always bothered me. I've read somewhere that GM did that to improve tight turning radius. My uncle had a 1985 K-5 he bought brand new, should have bought it off of him, and I remember he could make real tight u-turns in it. I hate scraping off window tint, but what works best for me is to peel it all off and soak the glue in windex. I mean spray the hell out of it and let it soak, but don't let it dry. Then get a new blade on a window scraper and scrap it off. It should be easy on those flat windows. I've tried chemicals that melt the adhesive and it become a gooey smelly mess.
nice video
Thanks!
awesome k5
It sure is!
Love the stance. I am looking at the Coopers for my K5. Are those 33x12.5r15s? Thanks!
Yes, perfect size imo!

Didn't know that about the tint! Was wondering why someone would put choose purple ☺️ Thanks for watching!
