Bud Light met up with the consequences of the real world. Businesses are leaving the looting, drug addicted, crime ridden, homeless Democrat run cities.
Companies are no longer wanting to hire the nut case Left. The wealthy are starting to not donate to these out of touch with reality universities.
When normal people stop rewarding these insane Democrat Politicians with their vote, the Progressive Left will lose power and be motivated to get back to a saner middle. I had a friend who 'came out' as D.I.D. in the mid-2000s, among a group of very positive and affirming people, and I witnessed how total affirmation inevitably leads to ethical problems. Our friend was female with an 8-year old, male alter, although the term 'little' wasn't being used--I saw it become an issue among the girls in the group of friends (the ones who believed) and how some got upset when we'd be somewhere drinking, or meet a person she was dating, and we understood there's no absolute memory firewall between the 'alters'. So, inevitably, if you buy a drink for the person, or introduce them to a potential partner, you're breaking a law or trafficking's this 'little' (who never ages). I watched this unfold while the antidote of skepticism seemed out of reach for those who had committed most to affirmation. It was fascinating.

I’ve know a group of people claiming to have DID, this all started probably 5 years ago.
We are literally talking about one person in a friend group claiming DID, within a year, all 8 people (I am sorry, I mean “bodies” as they like to be referred to), claim DID.
Also maybe no surprise, they all identified as trans before claiming DID.
They all have a British alter, and a “little” alter.
This also gets them out of doing anything they want because they can claim they are dissociating or that it’s an alter that did something. It’s used as an excuse for everything.
I know for a fact, they did not have any repeated long term childhood trauma. But to them, being told to clean your room is trauma, breaking up with someone is trauma.
Most people don’t believe me when I say these things. They say “well trans people could become friends before realizing they were trans” “those with DID could naturally come together before they realize they are systems”
I don’t know what to do because I feel like I am the only sane person out there. The people I am talking about, some are family members so I can’t just avoid them. I don’t just see some of the surface level insanity, I see the having to live with them and have them talk like babies to each other insanity. Or have to listen to them talk in a fake British accent and pretend like it’s normal.
It seriously feels like it’s a competition within the group to see who can have the most disorders. Of course they all claim to have POTS and EDS, some claim they need wheelchairs.
Four lived together for 6 months and did ZERO cleaning because they all claimed to be 100% helpless. One claimed they needed help getting from their wheelchair to the toilet when they were walking the previous day.
This is just scratching the surface.

    • @liberality

It starts with needing a stick to walk with, then a wheelchair, then an electric wheelchair, then morbid obesity. The skeletal problems from cross-sex hormone use don't help with the infirmity.

"This also gets them out of doing anything they want because they can claim they are dissociating" - I work in a psychiatric hospital and, up until a few years back, those with BPD/EUPD who self-harmed would be told they would be discharged from hospital if they did so while under our care - generally a good therapeutic intervention to establish that they can control their behaviour and to ensure that such behaviour was not reinforced by caregivers.
Now they "dissociate", often while exhibiting signs that they are clearly present in the moment, as this now means that they must accept zero responsibility for their actions, be given the attention they crave and work their way up the local league table of f-ups. Consequently, we've also seen admission periods go from up to a week to, in some instances, over a year.
And with the "be kind", "believe x", "living their truth" and a refusal to challenge said nonsense, we've ended up where those running the show are essentially being controllled by those they are supposed to be supporting.

I tend to think mushrooms would be more likely than cannabis. . . especially since they've been pushed so hard recently as a "cure" for childhood trauma.
Ngl, I looked into this idea myself, because I had a horrific childhood; but it's a wild and unregulated mess out there, where it's almost impossible to know what strain/species/etc. one will be ingesting, not to mention how that will interact with an already-potentially-susceptible mindset. . . and/or with the "shamens" who offer to "guide" people when they're high.
I know a lot of people who use cannabis regularly and it hasn't altered their sense of identity the way mushrooms can do. . .
But this is all just conjecture, of course. I wonder if there's ever going to be an actual study done? I know a lot of people would volunteer, but it would need to be done in a country where neither substance is banned.

I am more and more convinced every day that all this nonsense is really just about keeping people in an immature state. It prevents children from maturing, reverts adults back to an immature childlike state and punishes anybody for being a mature adult and using the kinds of tools that are marks of that maturity whether it be discernment, self discipline, sacrifice or otherwise.
One of the things they love to do is make up rules and change them at will whenever it suits them. If you've ever played a game with a child this should look very familiar.

I call it oppression fetish. Can’t be oppressed if you’re male, middle class, and white.
These people also use their issues as an excuse not to do things (like work or clean). Most people with disabilities or other issues in their life still try to live life as best as possible in spite of everything. It’s not “I am a minority / a women / in a wheelchair so I am helpless”.
If you’re doing well in life then that’s proof you’re not oppressed and helpless. So if feels the goal of fakers is never to improve their situation in life, the goal is to collect more and more issues, see who can be the biggest victim, who can be the most helpless.
You could also call it disability Pokémon, gotta catch them all (DID, CPTSD, ADHD, EDS, POTS, autism, depression (obviously), anxiety. (Funny how most don’t claim BPD though). Or disability BINGO where you’re trying to fill in the entire card.

Not sure if I should share, but if anyone comes across this having thoughts they feel like aren't their own, this might help-
For many years I had negative voices in my head that sometimes felt separate from my own thoughts. It caused a lot of problems in my life. After a deep meditation session that was for 4 hours, I realized that each negative voice was rooted in childhood trauma (I knew of the trauma, and had been in therapy but never connected the negative thoughts/voices to it). During a separate meditation, I visualized the voices as people, and stomped on the visualized wire connecting us.

She is also a they/themer but very chill about it, definitely one of those taking on nonbinary to avoid sexual encounters/interests due the trauma rather than a "look at me" type. So I gotta wonder if she got hooked in through a therapist rather than internet crazy.
19:00 Somewhere in here: there is speculation that the voices people hear in schizophrenia are just their own personal thoughts (or memories), and the part of their brain that identifies them as "self" has gone wonky. So I would bet DID is the same mechanism. There's similar disorders where the part of your brain that identifies your own body parts as yours doesn't work (dysphoria/dysmorphia in the true sense), which might also explain the connection to trans for this group of people.

I'm not on board the plural bus, however, I do have a spiritual belief that our souls are split when we come here. Half comes with us and half waits behind. The connection between said halves being our mind.
So on that note, I don't ever feel truly alone, so long as I haven't lost my mind and I believe it's important to maintain a connection with one's self.

A few years ago, after a deep breathing meditation of around 45 minutes, I spontaneously had a warm energetic pulse shoot up slowly but firmly within me (from my solar plexus to my throat chakra) and what followed was a conversation with a voice in my head that felt clearly distinct from myself. It said it was my oversoul and I must say I was at that time somewhat baffled by this experience. It could be something that I created myself entirely or maybe I was interacting with another point of intelligence that was separate from me.
I am one of those cats 😺 that believes in everything being interconnected and that everything is happening within one shared consciousness framework of intelligent energy, that also shows up as our Earthly experience. In my view. God is the underlying consciousness energy that animates you, me and all that we can possibly interact with: It allows for being, is the animating principle and It permeates everything. It is the All. So I guess I was talking to God and always am talking to God.
All this to say that I do believe it can very well be possible to interact with 'others' (other beings, intelligences, energies, give it a name, who knows for sure, right?) within yourself that feel distinct from yourself, as I've experienced this too, also on other occasions. I am very open to this possibility. But you will sure as hell never find me on this reddit, because the framework of language and thinking that is offered on there seems wholly unhelpful. It's clear that many of these young people encourage each other to hyperfixate on very normal human things like acting different in different situations and around different people or having multiple aspects of your personality (that can also be either feminine or masculine), only to keep fragmenting themselves with endless silly labels in order to make themselves feel special and unique, as well as make life psychologically way too complicated for themselves.
I feel grounded spirituality would be very beneficial for kids struggling with these obsessive thoughts, but instead they get served (and keep serving each other) narcissistic junk food for the brain via social media. Open-mindedness is a great thing and open-mindedness gets fostered in the youth of today because of the information age they are living in, but you can become so openminded that your brain will literally fall out and this is what is unfortunately happening a lot nowadays. Trans ideology is a perfect and intriguing example of this.
One thing is for certain: all these people with their tulpas are creating one giant weird mutant monster tulpa-egregore! 🤣

Hiya, the main problem you point to comes from confusing two kinds of perspectives. One holds onto a fixed personal identity that makes up the classical ensouled body, spirit is implicitly seen as more important, but body is inextricable from the integrated notion of self (not from abstracted concepts of soul, spirit and the like). This personal identity makes one unity that centres experience, it is a vantage point establishing the angle of view of the external world, whose identity is maintained as strongly as that of the self. The essence of this first perspective is that it takes the personal identity as a vehicle to accessing the world. It is a pluralistic vision in so far as there is no ontological primacy of yourself, which forces you to step out of yourself and view yourself as an object of the world, one of its constituents. This however brings about the falling out of experience. Experience is now something confined to a body; you inadvertently use the expression yourself - "voice in my head". (Mind me, that's more complicated because body is used as a symbol of objective reality, and so is the entire physical, or more appropriately visual-physical domain, but very rarely is full-fledged materialism that reduces mind to body in a way that corresponds, but is not precisely, to the naive notion I am presenting, actually considered. What is central really is that the world is subject to an order of scaling and interplaying semi-fixed objects such as the mentioned personal identity or a buck knife. These objects have certain essence, quite rigid form, like what makes the knife a knife, it can lose its knifeness and cease to exist in actuality. What's more, they have distinct boundaries and are self-sustained - what's responsible for their persistence in the world while they are so persisting is themselves. Again it's simplified because we often think of composite objects, maintained by certain forces keeping lesser objects within a given form, scaling down to something atomic in the proper sense. It's just a broad sketch. The most palpable boundary is the one I mentioned between your self and the world, but beyond this within the world without. And it is precisely this shift that makes up the fissure between the two perspectives, it's really a central feature which distinguishes them.) Whatever conceptual device is used for this, the point is that even though we may consider the domain of the spirit in likeness to cartesian split, as something ontologically irreducible to matter, the objective world still remains and grounds us. We always return to it as something fundamental, as the space whose content you are. Ok, now we are stuck in this first perspective of rigid identities of objects, but we notice that internal experience just doesn't go away. The within/without distinction is an inescapable form structuring your experience (transcendental form for Kant) and the access to the second stage of this perspective when you count yourself as an object of the world is mediated by it. This means, we must deal with the content of our consciousness as something in and of itself, and cannot skip to the world right away. (again the same simplification) And the only thing that remains is fitting the experience into the scheme of these rigid identities somehow. Well that means, the personal identity I mentioned at the beginning is taken as just such fixed object, and this leads us directly to the second perspective and the centre of the divide: You experience an internal multitude. That is the impetus of the whole breaking between the perspectives in this case of "pluralism of identities". It doesn't even have to be as pronounced as the experience you had. Just look carefully at your dreams, or notice a proper empathic moment when you feel the other person or more disturbingly feel an animal. That's the second perspective calling, the phenomenological perspective. There the order of rigid identities dissolves, some continuity is preserved of course, but what makes an identity is now much more unstable, and your grasp over it correspondingly much more slippery. Alright, how does this tie to what you were talking about? Your personal identity under this phenomenological perspective becomes much more vulnerable to sudden disturbances, poking into the membrane of the soap bubble of your consciousness and, what has apparently happened to you explicitly, invading this sacred space where your self always held exclusive dominion. You can catch the tendency to contain it "It could be something that I created myself entirely", but that just won't do when you shift to the second perspective. There is the self which has continuity throughout your retention of memories and then there is something new. You try to make your self bigger and it just some unchecked feature, but it speaks to you, so you are clearly not bigger than it. But it's just as you are, a passenger of this space of consciousness, which until now belonged to you exclusively, meaning you identified your self with this space, took it for another feature of the self, the house that spirit built. Here you have two ways to go, stay with your self on the now sunken level where you have to deal with alien intelligences of the same nature and form as you are (except not native as far as you can tell), or you can begin to contend with the space itself, what's above both of you down there, which turns out is another personal identity just of a different order.

Spirituality helps so much. On the one hand I don't hate that people are finally noticing they're fragmented, but the exact wrong thing to then do is to try and get more fragmented instead of how can i get more whole. Even if you are dealing with another being you can still treat it as you would a part of yourself. Cuz everything is god, is you, like you said.

This unfortunately happens every few years. It happened in Gen X from a TV movie. Suddenly a lot of people were claiming to have multiple personalities. Good to know there are still some sane therapist out there. I’m not going to say it’s 100% false, but it’s not at all like these people describe if it is. It’s caused by severe trauma and the person suffers blackouts and lost time. The point of therapy involving it is to deal with the underlying trauma and rejoin the split. If it is real, there are very few documented cases, it’s extremely rare. You’d most expect it in someone that faced extended torture as an example of the type of trauma it requires.

It's fine when younger children create imaginary friends and characters. And even when you're older it's completely ok to create characters, like in a game or if you're writing something or are into cosplay etc. But THIS is on a whole other level because these people actually believe what they imagine is reality, and make it seem like a legitimate thing. That's pretty scary. They do need psychiatric help but not for reasons they think they do. We live in a world of normalized delusions, it's total insanity.

      @djolds1 5 місяців тому

@@sophiefuldauer An egregore is an updated take on "spirits." Something that is superphysical (beyond the physical) but not "supernatural" in the usual magical meaning of the word.
Climate is greater than the sum of the parts that make up weather. Evolution is greater than the sum of the parts that are individual organisms or species. This is what I mean by superphysical - something that is real, has existence and self-direction, perhaps even consciousness, and yet has independent existence beyond its physical components. This is something that hardcore materialists like Sam Harris can't process. Higher order beings. Higher order Egregores would be Mammon - greed for wealth, Michael - avenging justice, etc.
"The Stoa" had a panel discussion on this almost 2 years ago. John Robb, BJ Campbell, Patrick Ryan, Jordan Hall. It's also made the rounds in "The Meaning Crisis" corner - Paul Vanderklay, John Vervaeke, Jonathan Pageau, etc.
The creation of the Multiple Personalities - Alters - that Benjamin is discussing in this video seem quite similar to egregores. Self-directing patterns of information (personas - constructed personalities) brought into existence either by the victim themselves or by others working upon them. Done thoughtlessly, badly, or maliciously, such a thing is a corrupting spirit - a demonic possession.

I think it’s wrong to think that these identities are “real people” and I think many chronically online young people think they have this condition when they’re simply experiencing a desire to fit in. This subreddit is very dangerous if people are being encouraged to assume they have a condition they do not have, but it is a real condition caused by repeated childhood trauma. Also, making fun of the terminology like “fronting” and “headmates” is like making fun of any other technical jargon. It’s just that. Technical terminology. I also think, however, that brining gender and sexuality into this is ridiculous on the part of these subredditors- sorry, you can’t be multiple sexualities and genders (and only one of two genders at that). They’re just confusing people. Some of these people might have D.I.D, which is not a fun condition to have. They want to fit in and yes, it’s a social contagion, but it’s not entirely made up.
