Winning through compromised beliefs is a lesser victory than winning by holding true to your convictions. Electing a majority in the senate doesn’t do you any good if your representatives vote and act the same way as the opposition, see the tories for an example and how 14 years of governing like labor has decimated their support. In order to save the country, I think the right needs to acknowledge the momentum they carry and pursue a generational shift by dissolving the bureaucratic state, which serves as the legal ratchet that keeps Cuthulu swimming left. Confidence health beliefs will build a base stronger than pandering, but confidence includes being able to work with people who are different than you.
Yep, I think above everything Trump's integrity and courage has just won him this election. As a salesman he understands the importance of connecting with people in moments of doubt and uncertainty.

It is a biography/autobiography of a lawyer who represented a criminal and how his client's life was changed by faith while serving several life terms. It covers race, faith, justice, redemption and the lives of a Lawyer who became the Dean of Law at Gonzaga and a black man who grew up in an abusive family, lived a life of crime and then found faith in prison. I hope you read it and interview Critchlow as some point.

I am also a registered independent. There was no insurrection. There was a protest over elections not being audited, having last minute emergency rules changes, courts flagrantly defying law, and legislatures refusing to take responsibility. Basically if we don't run an election openly and fairly then it's not really much of an election at all. We all do a disservice to the nation and to democracy. This protest did have a minor riotous element but in no way really threatened the proceedings or people inside. Most of the conflict with police happened on the opposite side of the building from where people were let in. No one really brought weapons. Most of the criminal charges were using a statue that had never been used before and was intended to stop cyber attacks from shutting down governmental proceedings. Sorry, but if elections are run like this then we don't deserve to have a country.
