- Today we will show you how to make Hot & Fast Mahogany Ribs in the Big Easy Oil-Less Fryer. A few weeks ago we watched No Hippie BBQ cooked some ribs at a high temperature on the grill. Of course, at a higher temperature the cook time is much shorter. We’re taking this idea and cooking Baby Back Ribs in the Big Easy Oil-Less Fryer.
Ingredients
• 1 rack of Baby Back Ribs
• 2 tablespoons King Street Blues Rib & Butt BBQ Rub, more info www.armadillopepper.com/produ...
• ½ cup King Street Blues Mahogany BBQ Sauce, more info www.armadillopepper.com/produ...
Procedure
1. Remove the membrane from the ribs.
2. Cut the rack of ribs in half.
3. Season both sides of the ribs with the Rib and Butt Rub.
4. Set the Big Easy Oil-Less Fryer to high.
5. Using rib hangers, place the ribs in the oil-less fryer basket and then insert the basket in the Big Easy Oil-Less Fryer.
6. Cook the ribs for 90 minutes. Cooking times will vary, so check the ribs at 1 hour to make sure the color is not getting too dark.
7. Remove ribs from the Big Easy, apply the BBQ sauce and wrap in foil.
8. Place ribs back in the Big Easy Oil-Less fryer and cook for 30 minutes.
9. Remove the ribs and let rest for 10 to 20 minutes.
10. Unwrap and serve.

I cooked ribs on my Big Easy for the first time last night following these instructions and using the same rub and sauce you use. Boy, were they delicious. Thanks for the video. I have tried several of your recipes and they are all spot-on. Keep 'em coming.

Same to you and yours!
I did Lyle's hot and fast turkey and it was really good. Now, I'll have to give the hot and fast ribs a try too. Thanks.
Lyle does some great cooks. Happy 4th Mike.
Hey Jeff... good color on those ribs and tender too!... Happy 4th to You and Donna : )
Thanks for the feedback Chris. We really enjoyed these ribs. Happy 4th to you as well.
I got a Big Easy for Father's Day and didn't use it until Thanksgiving. I've done half chickens, pork shoulders and now can't wait to try ribs!
Congrats on you new cooker! We've got wings and chicken quarter videos coming out on the Big Easy over the next few weeks.
ArmadilloPepper.com thanks. Gonna subscribe so i won't miss it
I really like your videos Jeff. Those ribs look amazing. I just bought a Big Easy and will be firing up real soon. Just deciding what to try first!! Have you ever tried wood chips in the B.E?
Maybe, put them in a foil pouch and lay it on the bottom of the drop in rack to add some smoke flavour?
Thanks for the feedback Chris. I've not tried wood chips in this oil-less fryer.
damn....
i need to get me one of those.. you can do a lot with that hanging technique. wish i was there to sample..
I really like this cooker....and they don't pay me to say that. Have a great holiday Luigi.
Anyone wondering about the big easy ribs it became a family favorite at my home he’s right about that char flavor it’s subtle but man oh man we love these. The big easy is awesome
Glad your family likes them!
looks delicious. tfs
Thanks so much for watching our videos.
Hey Jeff, it's always good to try different methods and cookers. That is what we are all about. Get out of the box type thing. It's good to know we can have options on cookery and methods. Like our buddy at WMB, ask yourself what else can I try, or how can I change this up a little. Enjoyed your video and nicely done as usual. Yea, sometimes it's slow n easy, and sometimes it's a slammer. lol
Agreed! That is one of the benefits of UA-cam...always learning from others. Have a great 4th!
good job!
Thanks Dean!
Way late to this video but they turned out perfect!
Beautiful 👍
Thanks Terrance!!
The outer banks is in North Carolina I just moved back from there. Virginia beach is close though. I'll have to give that seasoning a try looks good. I really miss the pulled pork recipes out there.
Nathan Masten I'd like to eat at the actual restaurant sometime.
I cooked ribs on one of those cookers recently. I joked about leaving the lid off but left it on. The turned out good but if was a guessing game
We hardly ever use the lid because the outside gets done before the inside. Occasionally, we use the lid at the end of the cook to crisp up. Happy 4th!
What kind of side sauce are you working with Champ? Ribs look GREAT!
Thanks for the feedback Vance! It's the Mahogany BBQ Sauce. Links are in the video icard and in the description.
Good looking ribs Jeff. I have a big easy but haven't used it on video for years, got a lot of copyright claims from the manufacturer.
Thanks Tom. That's good to know.
What’s the low temperature can you maintain in the Big Easy?
I've never measured.
That is one big oil less fryer :-) Those ribs look really delicious :-) An Extra "BIG" thumbs up :-) Hey Jeff & Donna have a FUN and SAFE 4th of July :-) Check out my BBQ video from last Saturday, I did some 2 1/2" Rib Eye Steaks :-) ROCK ON!!!!!!!
