@@Zainmhz I just love the way the longer scale length (29.75in) sounds. Drop f and drop e are easy and sound huge.
I’ve got a few of 24in scale guitar and always had trouble with intonation.
@@NickBDesigns haven't tried guitar with scale length longer than 27, even for that length drop E holds up pretty stable. so i assume 30 seems perfect for both tension and tonality.

I went baritone a cpl years ago and never went back. I was playing in drop a/g on a 25.5 forever. Now i have a 26.5 a 27 and a 28. Just need a 30". Im in love.

Every time i bend the string too hard and whammy bar drop at the end detuned the whole tuning haha
@@ZainmhzYeah but wouldn't that be a non issue with the right fat gauge low E string? Or is it just because you're trying to get such a low note with such a short scale length, regardless of the gauge of the string?

Thats what I did and it rules! had to file the nut for the low string and adjust the truss some but totally doable. Id suggest actually popping off your current nut (to save if you wanna go back to standard tuning) and buying a new one to hack up for the thicc bois

an Evertune bridge definitely hold the tuning very well

I have a question and if you answered it would help me a looot.
So, I'm looking to buy a guitar to play drop E stuff, and I'm worried about what type of guitar I should get, I'm in between getting a 27" scale length baritone and put some .80 strings (a most expensive guitar) or a 26.5 lenght 7 string guitar (a cheapest one) and put the same gauge. The difference between prices is considerable, since I'm from Brazil and this kind of instrument here is very expensive, so what do you think is better to get? Should I take a 26.5" lenght for being less expensive? like, this length will handle a drop E tuning with the right string gauges without getting a floppy sound? or should I go safer and take a 27" baritone? It would help me so much if you answer me.

thanks man! in my experience drop E on 26.5 with 80 gauge is still playable and hold the tuning well as long as the setup is right. but longer scale always a good option for a lower tuning.

Now play a powerchord with the low E as bass. Route the neck pickup to it's own amp and you have a bass and a guitar at the same time, basicly. It dooms more than it djents that way.

god that thing has to detune instantly if you didnt file the nut and bridge
Nut filed, yet still it detuned
If you ever really want to go all in buy an 8 string set and drill out the first tuner (carefully of course) and get good tension still, lol. A trick with it is to use the 80 gauge string to file it out too

that's pretty reasonable tuning to play on a strat, as long as you get thicker string you can play it in comfort, i would play 12-60 gauges if i tuned to that tuning.

What are semitones? How do you implement them in tone?
As far as I understand, it’s basically a stair of notes. For instance if C tuned down 1 semitone it’s B, and if C +1 semitone it’s C# and so on
