I've never accepted Nu-Metal back in the day still not until now. the 2000s Metal was boring to play, there were no solos, and most of the songs just used drop D tuning a lot of guitar effects, and not much technique and richness. As a guitar player, it sounds boring to me far from the richness of the 70's 80's 90's metal bands. No iconic guitarists emerged from this era. Again this is my feeling as a guitar player. I've never been Slipknot's Fan, I found them too messy, (I was used to Pantera Chirurgical riffs and amazing tone), but their passed drummer was a beast (RIP) and I have respect for him but their music just didn't touch me as Slayer, Pantera, Sepultura or Machine Head... did. I'm not too fond of actual metal either by the way, I got stuck in the '90s :')
@@sebxcore27 you have been blessed with 2000s Nu Metal glory. You should absolutely listen to 'Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog flavored water' by Limp Bizkit for Nu Metal masterpiece, musically as well as lyrically (yes, I'm dead serious). Wes Borland is criminally underrated as a musician. Nu Metal may not have the typical guitar heroes, but they sure knew how to write kick ass songs🎸🤘🔥
@@Lotastic_Films I've checked the album you've recommended and it sounds boring to my ears. I don't say it's crap but just it's not what I like. If I want a mix of metal and hip-hop, I prefer to listen to RATM. Tom Morello may not be the best guitarist but he did some good solos and he was very creative when it comes to making his guitar sound as a DJ would sound rather than just have a DJ in the band. Sorry, but I prefer to be damned by 90's groove metal than blessed by 2000s Nu-metal.
Wayne Static its probably the most creative guy in "nu metal" scene or how he called "evil disco" , he literaly was all the band, now they just plays all that he left finished or unfinished
It was mostly Korn that needed novelty guitars, that was to distract you from the fact that while they had 2 guitarists with 9 string guitar and speciality 20 string harmonic sections built into the guitar, anyone could play both guitarists lines on a single acoustic
@NoMusiciansInMusicAnymore KoRn never once used 9 strings first of all. Second of all you can't play all KoRn CORRECTLY on a 6 string with one person. THIRD OF ALL 7 STRING GUITARS ARENT NOVELTY GUITARS

Perfection, bonus for dancing- made me smile! I am so happy i could recognize every song as well. Thank you! It really was the golden age for nu metal...
I'd have included either Ektomorf's "I Choke" or "Show your Fist" although they weren't huge outside Eastern Europe, they pretty much nailed the earlier sound of the style (also I have a groove/nu metal band, I try to keep the style alive[ADIDAS is cool af, System is the best band ever!])

What always impresses me with nü-metal is how simple most of the guitar parts are, yet the songs are memorable.
Best songs are usually that way!
Nu metal has the best riffs
Less is more
I've been trying to come up with riffs for the last 2 weeks and reminded myself of this fact. When I do it, it feels lazy. When they do it, it's 🤘.
I love that the dude is rocking nu metal in an adidas track suit. Totally nailing the look and the sound. Great video
I had to have the right attire for the occasion.
love how your guitar even has a sweatband
Well of course, it can get sweaty.
Starting with Limp Bizkit and folky dance moves was unfair, don't think I've ever pressed the like button so fast
Thank you so much! Next time I might attempt to add the dancing as a stage routine while playing guitar :p
I was waiting for Papa Roach's "Last Resort" riff lol

Very good choice of Nu Metal Riffs, Sir! The dancing tops it off 😂🕺🤘🎸🔥 greetings from Lotasticland

this guy plays nu metal on a six-string guitar and he's good at it... genius

I've been watching this video religiously for 3 days straight and I don't think I'll stop
So are you still watching this video?
Let’s just admit the fact that Nu-metal ruled the late 90‘s and the early 2000‘s
I'll do no such thing NEW metal is my thing like I want to know about any NEW shit that gets released
mmm yep
We don't have to admit it. Its an objective truth.
