1. Never knew they reversed one guitar for that ambient sound. Immediately going to incorporate that.
2. That triplet scratch that you did. Never knew you could do that.
3. I’m new to logic and never was able to figure out how to do takes. So I always recorded and then immediately deleted to redo the take which takes for ever.
4. Definitely going to get Saturn now.
5. I never thought about using the keyboard to input the bass notes. My dumbass always put it in using the mouse for each individual note. Which also takes ages.

Saturn before sims is amazing. I use SSL Saturation X currently too and it’s just as insane although it’s broadband, it’s still very cool!

brother these are usually fantastic but this one is FUCKING SICK
First time seeing the channel. I’m recognizing your whammy issue here. I went through this and found a rock solid solution. I ended up trying the electro harmonix pitchfork + with my mission engineering expression pedal. Problem 100% solved. The pitchfork + isn’t quite as plug and play friendly as the whammy but once you get it setup you’ll be blown away. I now wonder why everyone raves about the whammy when the pitchfork does it so much better. I found the whammy having a sort of ripping sound sometimes. The pitchfork is way smoother sounding. Worth checking out
Honestly I though of just doing it all digitally with Archetype Gojira 🤷♂️ I’m still happy with the Whammy though, doesn’t bother me too much. I never have it engaged unless I’m actively using it.
For drop pedals, I use the virtual Jeff pro and with the buffer bypass, and it works amazingly well! You should give it a look.

been messing with that pre amp multi band saturation for a few months now and it's really just the best thing ever, it's basically letting you make a custom overdrive pedal

I've been doing almost the same thing but with the ozone exciter before the amp sim. I definitely should try using the saturn though.
In all seriousness though, there is very little thall tutorials out there other than Andrew and Johnnys tutorial and would absolutely love to see a tutorial or even just another thall thursday here and there would be so cool. I hope to one day do a one on one sesh with you Nick. I feel like you have infinite knowledge to teach.

If you have a Whammy V, the CLASSIC mode saves your tone more, but is less polyphonic, the CHORDS mode, not only degrades your signal more, there is a bit of noticable latency.
Oh good catch, I didn't even think about what mode I had it on!
