Thank you very much for upload. Look at 0:44. I never noticed before that Tom's humbucker is under pickuard. I thought the best sound was as close to the strings as possible.
Distortion makes everything louder, so while humbucker height does change the sound, I think some could care less when you’re just crankin it up and rockin!

Who would have thought; Tom - into UFO's, Mark - just kicked cancer to the side, Travis - bought into the Hollywood BS with a Kardashian. Respect to Mark.
Mark may have been least talented at playing an instrument, but he was such a pivotal member as far as song writing, vocals, and production. And he actually was a totally solid bass player to be honest. The band would not be what they were without him snd Tom combined.
Such a great bass sound. Tom can barely play that riff though :) fair play though. The Spirit of grunge/punk is what made this ‘pop-punk’ band so great
Tom hunched over like he’s got the guitar tabs on the floor in front of him haha
Prolly does lol
No wonder he broke his back a few years later.

Classic Tom swag. The Hurley fit and the backwards hat and green strat
... thinking about aliens.
Hurley collection from that time was so rad
Somewhat embarrassed to admit I wore that for Halloween more than once in the late 90s/early 2000s era
It’s almost a strat but ehh
That ain’t a strat
You know you’re listening to vintage blink 182 when they’re playing What’s My Age Again a full step higher in tune
actually I'd say vintage blink is Scott's ska drumbeat, both blonde Mark and Tom and Tom's white sticker strat
Vintage?
They did this all the way until 2004/2005 to be fair
and Tom's not singing in the chorus
I guess you can say this in tune?
Snuck in that "I miss my Asian friend" I see you Mark
Lol
LMAO I don't get it, what's the joke?
The Mark Tom And Travis Show my friend.
I’m a huge Blink fan! So happy you shared this!
Gotta cover more blink songs
This is fantastic! I didn’t know Blink played on Howard.
Neither did they, it seems.
@@theoryofmine7473 🧐 not sure what you mean by that.
Classic Blink. Travis being very good, Mark being fine and Tom being well Tom 😂.
hey it’s what makes blink, blink! lol
Tom's the better songwriter and more unique vocalist.
This was right after high school. I couldn't of been happier it was finally over... Like the rawness of this set.
This is gold! Howard's show + early 2000s Blink 182. What a time to be alive!
"So Travis how high you want your snare drum tuned?"
"As high as it goes and then a little bit more."
Gotta love that vented ocdp snare :)
@@johanlindblom1 I don't actually I think it sounds ridiculous and absurd lol.
as a drummer myself, Travis' OG OCDP snare tone has always been one of my favorite, it just effortlessly cracks through any mix
@@djjazzyjeff1232 theres nothing more travis than a brass snare and rim shots every hit
can we talk about Travis building the bridge into the last chorus, perfectly matching toms clean and distorted tone. 👌
Oh yes we can and we should! Great observation my friend! 🎶 👏
The sound engineer did them no favors during this set
sadly
they don't need favors

The way Tom looked at Travis being extra at the end 😂
He was looking at him for the cue for the last note

its hilarious how much better travis is at his instrument than mark and tom are/were at theirs.
I think it's pretty difficult to play these songs being only a 3 piece band. They did pretty well here.

It's so hard to find good recordings of this era especially ones that are mixed so well. It's a shame that the audio kept on crapping out.

Distortion makes everything louder, so while humbucker height does change the sound, I think some could care less when you’re just crankin it up and rockin!
Also the closer the pickup to the strings the magnets of the hex poles can cause string pull/buzz and other issues
