😂😂😂😂 That sounds ridiculous. I know you do what the customer wants and pays for. I've done a lot of exhaust work so I get it. It doesn't mean you like it though.
I have one and I love it. Very efficient, very satisfying to accelerate and drive. Goes very nice on the beach with all the low end torque. Pulls a 20ft boat like nothing. But to put in exhaust on it and act like a rowdy v8 mud truck guy is just silly. It’s an economy work truck that’s about it.
I test drove one a while back. It move quick, but that sound though. I just couldn't get use to it. Not in a full size truck. Be better off with a ecoboost.
Not trying to be a hater! But a truck should not sound like a ricer! The turbo sound is nice tho! But i suppose fast forward 20 yrs and we will miss these "old school" rigs! 😵💫
Even though I despise a 2.7 4 cylinder turbo in a Chevy Silverado, the single cab standard box has grown on me, but every other trim, I will never own a regular cab long box, double or crew cab with a 4 cylinder turbo
There is a way to make them sound "not like an inline 4". We used to make the same with twinturbo inline 6 with dual tips exhaust to make them sound like a inline 6 still. Think of a subaru with unequal lenght header.
It's a shame that Chevrolet put a turbo 4 cylinder in these and then added cylinder deactivation to it as well. These steel body trucks are heavy and the turbo is always in boost. I had one of these as a rental while my ruck was getting some body work done and this turbo 4 banger got worse gas mileage (on the highway) than my 2022 5.0 F-150
A lot of goofy comments from some very vacuous people that aren't actual car enthusiasts. If you think that this sounds bad then just give up because the automotive industry isn't for you.
plot twist he heard a v8 version and thought all engines sounds like a v8.
Not hating but if they said listen to my GTI exhaust mod you couldn’t tell the difference. Great truck, just no exhaust mod on the 4 cylinder.
With a catless down pipe that thing would sing at idle
Lesson from my gti, keep the resonator.
Sounds exactly like a focus st

I see why they have that big ass muffler on stock. That sound is embarrasing from that full size truck. Owner looks as expected.
If it was mine, i would try to make it even quieter.. Not a big fan of full size and 4 cyl.
if ur missing 4 cylinders might as well stress it has a turbo
@@tythetyrant8919 i agree, and i’m a huge chevy fanboy
@@tythetyrant8919 i love cummins though ofc
A vibrant or a flow FX would probably sound great on one of these
After hearing the end result, I think I would have kept the factory exhaust.
Everyone hates on it until they drive it and see how fast it is
I did 6.87 0-60 in mine. Not bad at all for a full size truck
Uhm in what world is a 15 second 1/4 mile fast. Lmfao
@josephoverstreet5584 it's a full size truck goofball what do you expect? It's nearly as fast as the 5.3 V8
A Honda that identifies as a truck.
😂😂😂😂
I'm sorry but a Honda K series definitely sounds good…. This is more like a Stihl Chainsaw
@@SantanKGhey1234 Sounds good in a Civic, not in a truck.
@@pareotremtrue 👍
Fitting with the times.

They need a UEL header between the exhaust and the turbo to give it some rumble like the 2.7 I4 in the Tacoma.
Sounds like my riding mower 😂
Love all the rust on the gm waxed frames 1 years old and already covered in rust lol😂
Would never buy a 4 cylinder pickup from chevy in the US, but from where i come from, i would defentily have chose this imo
I test drove one a while back. It move quick, but that sound though. I just couldn't get use to it. Not in a full size truck. Be better off with a ecoboost.
They should bring the inline 6 back with the technology in fuel injection systems
FCA is with the new rams
No truck should EVER sound like a hot-hatch!
I enjoy the turbo noise on the down rev. Nice work EA team.
Appreciate it!
Congratulations, you successfully made your full size truck sound like a Chevy Cruze.
Not trying to be a hater!
But a truck should not sound like a ricer!

20yrs ago we didn't know trucks would sound like the hondas then.
Needs to be dumped before the axle so it has more of a lower tone and it'd be pretty solid.
This is embarrassing a full size truck that should not have a 4 cylinder from the start sounds like a ratty fart can Civic.
The Ford Model TT had a 4 cyl, I bet it sounded cooler.
1 year old and all that RUST, typical GM
Almost sounds like my srt4 back in the day
Sounds like something from fast and furious 😂😂😂 nope ill stick to a v8 all day

I don't understand all the hate. It sounds like....a big 4 cylinder turbo....
I’m a turbo advocate but not even a snail helps that truck out, that’s insane they got a 4 banger in a big ass body like that
430 ft/lb of torque at 1500 rpm. I own one and tows better than the 5.3 v8. It aint your grandmas i4. Still wouldnt put an exhaust on it
I rather have the 2.7 Ecoboost than this pile!
That’s embarrassing
As long as you keep it in the low tractor like revs you're good
Why GM...why!?
Because they are stupid
Wait I thought it was a 2.7 V6 twin turbo. I can’t believe its a 4
Ford F150 gets a 2.7 twin turbo v6, Chevy is a 2.7 single turbo i4.
I have the 2.7 and I wish they sounded better with exhaust. Ill just keep mine silent.
3/8 of a tank and 80 miles of range? Wow!
Why a 4cyl then?
V8 gets more than that 🤔
I caught that, too.
Because they have been revving it. It calculates based MPGs
yeah no. The range is based off avg miles. I easily get 21mpg no babying 26 trying to take er easy
Not my taste, but the customer paid! I’d rather have that stock one driving by in the end 😂
Hell naw.

Nice truck I’m getting one and rather keep mines stock
Turbo sounds are great but then it sounded like a civic
no way they made the silverado into a Corolla 💀
Sounds terrible.
Takes me back to 2005 dodge neon srt4 😬
Sounds like a 22r lol
That’s the engine the Cruze needs
Trifecta Performance fit a 2.0t LTG out of a Malibu into a 2nd gen Cruze. they also put a 3.6 from a CTS into a 1st gen cruze
Sounds decent lol
Chevy missed out big time w these ones …..should a just used the 4.3 w a turbo 😅……make it like a sysclone in Silverado form
I would not do a drive off. I would hide it
Never understood why gm put a 4 cylinder in a full size truck. Stupidest thing ever 🙄🙄🙄
If you close your eyes you could miss take it for a MG
Sounds like they swapped in a k24 😂.
Nice looking truck but this engine does NOT sound right for it lol you would swear there was a vw golf coming down the road
Nice work! 👊🏻😎🤘🏻 The sound is not appealing.
Rock on!
Sounds like a subie😂
sounds like rice...who buys a 4cyl full size gm truck?
430 ft/lb at 1500 rpm. People who dont wanna spend 60k on a truck.
What the hell @generalmotors? 😂😂😂😂
MENGA MINT!!!
Ugh
that sounds like a stock Honda civic 🤣🤣🤣🤣
That sounds like shit
Sounds like a fart machine
Sounds like a slug bug
I'd rather have a 3 cylinder than this piece of junk.
I think my rc car sounds better
No
😳😳😳😳😳
It sounds like an electric car with a fake exhaust.
