I love how people hate on the 4 cylinder so much. Tows 9k pounds. 400 pounds less than your 5.3 V8. Has tons more torque, easily tows no problem, and has a lot less problems than the 5.3. The majority that hate have never drove one nor do they even tow with their truck.
Oh boy... some things are meant too be left stock. These 4CyL trucks remind me of a bodybuilder that used too train at my gym. He was big from all the roids, but his voice was so high pitched 😂😂
I personally don't have a problem with these trucks with inline-4 engines and i think they sound decent and have a good bit of power. I think its a great option for a daily driven truck.
If I had to drive a 4 cylinder Silverado for money and economy reasons that's fine but I would want it as quiet as possible so no one knew it was a four cylinder. These would sound great if they were Civics.
I can afford whatever I want to drive but with all thing involved the 2.7L choice saved me almost $6k vs the 5.3 with no performance loss. I'm not stupid enough to give away 6k over short dick syndrome.
They should have straight pipe dual smoke stacks behind the cab. The stacks increase confusion on back country roads, decrease likelihood of being stopped by cops, and increase the air vortex in the bed by spiraling the exhaust gases into the overhead air stream on the highway
I watch these in my shop when I'm on lunch with both earbuds in and when people in the video talk behind you, I think someone is trying to talk to me 😂

I left the resonator in place but deleted the (Tank) Muffler with a 3” SS delete pipe. Not much louder then stock - but the L3B does give off vibes that she can breathe very effortlessly. I have no issue with the 2.7L Turbo Max exhaust tone. I have enough common sense - knowing it’s not going to have an exhaust tone as an Inline 6 / V6 / or V8. I own a AT4X Canyon (Ricer)!
GM ruined a full size truck by putting a four cylinder in it. I don't see the longevity of the truck if you are using a half ton truck like that for towing or hauling. The motor in its own right may be a good motor but mat be more siuted for a colorado or a mid size car. But on a different note you do incredible exhaust work!

I honestly agree. I will say it sounds damn good with a turbo sound I had to say. But I’m general, this was really a stupid idea to put a 2.7L turbocharged on a heavy ass Silverado. Should of stick with traditional V8. Because that’s gonna wear it much faster. The mpg will not make a difference.

Look, the V8 ecotecs, or whatever they are called, are a neutered V8 and these modern tech I4s with a dual valute turbo have some gusto. I grew up on the old school Chevy V8. Thing had that distinct rumble and muscle for days yet, the new stuff, is computer neutered for gas mpg numbering. They still have the rumble no doubt but give these new I4s that are built around the turbo some credit. No, they def don't make your male genitalia any bigger than a V8 will, but...they have some good torque

I will say i got one for the price 38,000 all black black rims put tint on it put a chevy black exhaust tip on it..red caliper covers from rough country..looks very clean..its quiet but can do everthing u need a truck to do..
People afraid of a 4cyl in a truck are the kind of people to drink drinks they hate because they're afraid of the opinions of others instead of being men and making decisions that are best for them The 2.7, blackwing v8, lsx, and atlas 4200 (which is really isuzu) are the best engineered things to come from gm in like 50 years. Just bought a 2023 new one and plan to keep it stock. I'm old school V8 and don't like or want my truck to sound like a fart pipe imho. YMMV though....
A truck with an aftermarket muffler,especially a v8 sounds good. But it dont make you no more powerful or faster than the same truck that's on side of you. Do some internal engine upgrades along with that new muffler. Then go do some serious head hunting.

I have a naturally aspirated 5.3 v8. and only familiar with gasser engine. but no matter how nasty you want it the turbo kills like half the sound. mine has gotten me 4 letters from hoa and counting. my advice type in your 2.7l engine loudest set up in yt search and by now some one would have a base for you to start. but if you want mean and nasty. always straight pipe. smaller the the pipe diameter louder the sound. into like 5-6 tips. then you got a catback.

@@toyotabrony these get like 24ish on the freeway, its not that bad at all. All the torque is at 1500 rpm too so you don't really have to try to get up to speed.

When u stop and go as a repeat on cross road lights, u get worse gas mileage. That’s a fact. If u go from home to work on a freeway every morning, u get very lucky for have a good gas mileage
We have an '83 Yota 4x4 with a 22RE 4cyl as a hunting rig that I wouldn't trade for anything. It's been through hell n half of Georgia and never let us down; rolled, wrecked, and been on fire... Twice.

I drive one and I get 17.5 mpg. Not bad for a daily driver to have three car seats in the back and towing capability in the daily driver.
