This is similar to Windows automatically defaulting to removing the file extension text in their file explorer ".exe", and malware could be given a fake extension to a file to trick them into running a program- displayed as "example.png", but is actually "example.png.exe". I think this was prevalent in Windows 7, but I haven't used Windows in a long time.

the moment the run window opened, a major red flag went off for me
01:51 "botting real members" so are they bots or real members
Good question
They are physical robots using computers
@@BrickShortsYT the future is now
The dollar sign in the wrong position is a common theme amongst European countries and even some Latin American countries. People who format like that, you can tell are from one of those regions.
USA is the only country that precedes the price in dollars with the dollar sign, and where the cent sign goes after the price in cents.
@@Izofeu The cents sign rarely is displayed
Let me guess it just says some random text and puts like 50 spaces so the user can't see and it only runs that malicious code after
KNEW IT
Dude it's so obvious
tbf, even if you see the first bit as a user, if you're not very skeptical you might just see "Oh yeah it goes to that website with a captcha-verification at the end, seems legit"
His ex wife is missing out ngl, this guy is the best!! I subbed to him the day he saved my computer from getting hacked.
Fake CAPTCHA: "Press Windows Key + R"
Chromebook user: "...s***"
(yes, this could apply to all non-Windows operating systems, but Chromebooks physically don't have a Windows key)
Wait but do you think they actually put in the effort to detect the OS and show different instructions?
@Andres-gq3zp Probably not. To my knowledge, this exploit doesn't require asking the user for elevated permissions. Unix-based operating systems require you to input your password every time a sudo command is run, which does *essentially* the same thing, and even then there's the chance that it'll ask you questions like "are you SURE you wanna do that???"
I'm not saying it's impossible for Unix OS users (Chrome OS, Mac, Linux...) are immune, but it seems to be much more difficult to be incognito here.
@@themoneysometimes I mean, if they really wanted to, they would definitely find some way to do it. Nevertheless, I don't think that most linux users would fall for a scam that literally says "go ahead and paste this magical command into your terminal and run it"
Huge thanks, I’m getting more advanced and aware of these scams/hacks
I just got into a Discord server that tells me to add a bot to my account? that can literally access my Email, is this a scam or nah?
If its not join servers for you, its still kinda safe. Its your own choice though, i dont recommend doing it if its an untrusted server, i cant even understand discord.
but what can they do, botting your mail? Scamming? I dont think so. The chances are slim but its still possible, atleast. Its not even worth their time to do that.
Plus many bots *ask* for that for whatever reason, so yea, in my conclusion it is pretty safe.
I like how the integral just simplifies to the integral of 1 from 0 to pi
scammers bad!
I swear to god some Twitter User would come here and say theres a good reason for them to exist
well actually
10:50 This is why I NEVER save cookies onto my browser with important shit on it, ALWAYS set them to delete themselves because if someone gets into your PC this will be the first thing theyll want.
