It is so bad, we literally have Constitutional Rights to protect against it. Too bad we only force the Government to not violate our rights, and let companies completely remove and destroy them cause "They private company!"
Alittle off topic but I do want to point out that when you delete your discord while the account is off of you all of the history activity is still there which is violating the (Rights to be forgotten)
First banning owners for what their members do, and now they're doing it to all members? This is stupid. Discord needs to rework their management big time.
This ain't new, these banwaves that affect everyone on a server. Happened to me in 2018, in a Server about taking care of German lolcows, got every single person banned, including innocent members
A pretty big UA-camr I work for (ish, 1M+ subs) used to run a Discord Debates server before he blew up on UA-cam. After moving on to UA-cam, his account and a majority of staff on the server got strikes on their account because members on the server were debating COVID-19 policy. As a result, he had to stop the entire server in its tracks for months - effectively killing the Debates Discord. The fact that members, staff, and the owner can get into trouble for a small group of people having effective debate on government response to the pandemic is ridiculous to me, and I'm surprised Discord can operate that way.
Wait wait, I wanna make sure I'm reading this right. So you're telling me that 1. They were debating covid policy in a way that was effective and was actually a proper debate 2. Discord saw this as wrong 3. Because they were debating covid policy at all, they got into trouble, nevermind that the debate was relatively peaceful? That's what happened? What in the world...?
@@DragonGyrl96 Why are you even surprised? the whole covid mess was like that, ass long as you had ANY point that was agains the mainstream narrative you were (was) "bad" and a "conspiracy theorist".
Collective punishment is such a joke, this means i can potentially get my account terminated just for existing in a server. Even if ive never sent a single message. What a joke
@@Xictlii Except for when it's not because Discord thinks it's a good idea to have a bot permission that lets bots force you to auto-join servers. You just need to get tricked by one scam server and suddenly you're in 100 different servers flooded with bad content, or like it's shown in the video, they can even forcefully make you the server owner of the server flooded with bad content to guarantee that you'll get banned when the server gets shut down
@@Xictlii I'm sure if we took a look at every person you interact with, every server you've joined, every video you've watched and everything else we'd find something bad. I guess that's your fault by your own standards. Discord is famous for unequal or false shutdowns as well, so nobody is safe
Discord banned me twice for simply joining servers, reporting them, and leaving. They only unbanned me the second time on a new account and so I'm still not allowed to use Discord apparently. Great work guys. Don't join random / strange servers. The way Discord sees it, simply being in the general proximity of someone means you fully support and endorse them.
Thank you, wise Pineapple sir, for taking the time out of your day to share such wisdom, I can never thank you enough and I will never forget such praise worthy words. Thank you.
Just what is this phenomenon that causes those without competition to get wores over time. I know if there wasn't anyone like me I wouldn't stop at any point of being good at what i do.
I'm fairly certain Discord has plenty of competition from other sites and apps. It's not like they own the online chatting industry. In either case, I personally don't think the problem stems from lack of competition, but rather the encouragement of. We all become so focused on being number one, that we are left with no time to hear others.
The collective punishment is why you should NEVER buy Nitro. The exact same situation to the guy in the Tarkov server happened to me, despite being a paying customer for over a year. I didn't even get the respect of an actual response or reason, via email, and only found out when a friend from the server reached out to me later. The the most disgusting part about it is that they ENCOURAGE you to join as many servers as possible, by giving you more slots when you pay. But that only increases your chances of getting your account absolutely wiped, because it's apparently too difficult to just remove the culprit or server individually.
the "tracks everything you do" portion tells me this is what the tos change regarding lawsuits was about. This is probably the information they leaked, on top of usernames, passwords, etc.
I got banned for apparently breaking the rules of "child safety", but then I couldn't even see what got me banned and 2 weeks later they randomly decided to unban me. When explaining this to my friends, they start to think I'm a weirdo now. Imagine walking down the street and suddenly some random person starts calling you a pedophile out of nowhere and you get weird looks from people. I'm also under 18 btw.
The hysteria around this subject matter is too severe. There are capital crimes you could commit that would get you less hate than this. Just stay away from it as far as you can. If you must involve yourself for any reason, use an alt account that doesn't tie to you in any way. Don't talk to your real-life acquaintances about it either.
I have a friend from West Africa, who in turn was in a West African Discord server... which was banned because (as one might expect from a server of around 300 West Africans) the word "Niger" was used fairly often. Not the n-word, the name of the country where a number of these people were from, which apparently sounded a bit too close. When the server was banned, my friend *also* had his account banned, as did most of the other members.
This actually happened to my old account. I was in god knows how many servers. Just over the years you accrue a lot of random servers for random reasons that you eventually forget youre even a part of. I got banned because one of those servers(idk which one, discord never told me) was doing some crazy shit. I didnt even get the option to appeal. Legitimately had no clue what happened, when, or where. And got banned. What a fantastic system.
I'm in countless random servers for emojis, stickers, etc. and a while ago my account was limited because some random server I never interacted with got taken down. am I supposed to just download all the emojis and never join a public server now? it's crazy
@@RubyWithoutReason no, just don’t join random servers that you’re not active in 😭 honestly yes just download the stickers or make your own, that’s not worth risking your account over

Worse, if you were in the same general area of a crime and didn't see or hear it and never knew it happened, you'll be arrested and still not told the crime happened.
I think the general intent is for automatically joining a bot or other thing's support server. Like, the PlayVS esports league uses an authorization thing that uses the permission just to make you join their support server once. However, this is fixed by not requiring being in that server to begin with
for some reason i had that feature enabled and I kept getting thrown into an obvious “cheap discord nitro” scam server. I know for a fact I left that server many times but somehow kept getting brought back in. I know I’m not crazy because other members in that server were just as confused as me. But I think it stopped probably because the server finally got deleted

Yeah this happened to me during some derpibooru drama so the server got raided and mass false reported and boom everyone banned for nearly a month after countless appeals

I was in a discord server years ago, way before Covid, and my account got terminated for being in a server. This was very early in discord’s popularity, and it shows this has been a practice for a long time, but it wasn’t on a ‘violation menu’ or any warning system, was just “oh you’re in this server? your account is gone.” I’d prefer this system more than the old one, but the whole concept of banning everyone with no activity is silly.
Yes bro. My account got perma banned for being in 1 singular server that got nuked. I never had any warnings before that. I wish this system existed back then
Same with online games that wants you to report bugs, test out and verify how you can do the bug in detail, and then report as much as you can so they can patch it. ... and then to ban you for using the exploit.

Permanent ban is also ridiculous for those who have accounts for a long time. Someone can have a ban that's over 5 years old over a small thing, from a mod that might no longer be on the server, and the user still can't join despite having grown a lot. If Discord stays active, we could have a ban someone got 10 years ago when they were a 13 years old troll, but now is a 23 years old adult and is still banned for something they did as a 13 years old.
Banning members for no reason and they were never involved in illegal stuff is just dumb. If Discord really wants to ban the people who actually does those stuff, just at least ban the ones, and the owner (staff as well perhaps), that were doing the illegal activities instead of banning everybody in the server. Not everyone knows what's going on. That's just losing members off Discord especially anyone who has paid for something on Discord such as, Nitro, profile decorations and you can't refund them. That's just stupid, literally. This is also another reason why you shouldn't let random bots access your account you have no idea what could possibly happen except the ones you trust and they are very known for. Also never join scam servers because it's not like they would actually give you what they offer. I feel bad for everyone who got banned for nothing. :(
Does the appeal process ever work? I've seen a number of the high profile accounts getting banned on youtube or ig/facebook and never unbanned, and for some stupid random crap, not breaking ToS or law at all. Just like it. They later had to create a new account if they wanted to exist on the same platform that banned them for no reason in the first place.
I don't use discord for too much apart from keeping connected with the friends I make and getting help with the games I make, but I watch these videos to ensure my only means of chatting with my friends isn't destroyed. Thank you for keeping us updated on what to do to keep safe. (I already apply common sense when using any website/service, reading the TOS before using anything, but it never hurts to ensure nothing else occurs)
An easy way to avoid the whole bot thing is to just NOT join any discord servers that require authorization via bots. You might think this is hard to do, but it isn't. Of the 14 servers I've joined, none have used bots for authorization. If you absolutely must join a server that dose use an auth bot, always be sure to carefully read the verification po-up before authorizing. The biggest flaw in these discord scammers schemes is that they can't alter or hide what you see on those verification pop-ups, meaning as long as you read the permissions list, you'll know if a bot or app will try to auto-join servers for you, and thus you can easily back out without ever having to put your account at risk. The best universal advice i can offer when it comes to combating scams is just to use your common sense. You'd be surprised at how many scams simply fall apart or fail when you do. Scammers pray on ignorance and stupidity, so by using your common sense you can fairly easily avoid falling for most scams. The blurb above about reading the permissions list of a verification pop-up is an example of common sense at work.
10:26 I think this happens when the previous owner of a previously legitimate server sells the server to someone else, who then uses it for shady purposes. Once I was scrolling through my servers list and I found that one of the servers I was in was changed into some sort of coordination center for pump and dump scams. Luckily the server hadn't gotten nuked yet, so I was able to leave without my punishments on my discord acount.
This can be so easily abused its not even funny step 1. have child nono's step 2. join servers to spam them with images of child nono's step 3. you forced everyone to be tracked looking at it. step 4. before you get banned, report the server for having child endangerment step 5. you just got thousands of people in trouble
Discord averages around 150 million active users per month, meanwhile Telegram averages around 900 million and the app is only getting better and better over time. It's things that Discord does like this that will put themselves in an early grave and steer people away from wanting to use (and potentially pay for) their platform.
Telegram has different aims than discord. You don't use Discord if you want end to end encrypted messaging on your phone, especially as a less invasive alternative to whatsapp.
I didn't have any bots with that permission, but i wouldn't have known about the "join servers for you" permission if not for NTTS. Im gonna warn my friends. Thanks for that! 💜
reminds me of when i was mod in a friends server back in 2022, they posted gore and my account was banned. submitted a BAN APPEAL and got an email saying you cant appeal a ban or whatever. like.. is that not the whole point of a ban appeal??
Considering discord servers can have channels that are completely hidden to non staff. There is really no way of knowing if a server you're in could get taken down for having bad stuff in it which is a bit scary.
Before this system got introduced I was actually hard-banned entirely, I couldn't log in nor export my data anymore. It seems a server got hate raided and reported by the same people to then get everyone in it banned immediately. After a few videos from my side about this topic, contact via Partner support and directly contacting people at Discord and sending them a letter I finally got it unbanned again a few weeks later (without a notification tho). I later heard that this is a one off case... they usually never unban hard-banned accounts like this... I'm glad they did tho cause I never did anything wrong.
I’m not going to lie it happened to me, and right now people are making bots to get into your account somehow and you get logged and they spam no no invites 😭
This is much better than how they used to ban many years ago, I've had my account banned when a discord channel I rarely interacted with decided to start doing raids and I had no idea since I never looked at it anymore.
Everyone in a minecraft accounts server including me got instantly banned off discord 4 years ago. This has always been a thing, except now there’s “punishments” instead of being instantly terminated.

I'm fairly new to Discord. Like every other unknown and untrusted place I join, my account is in effect an alt account. If I lose it, no big deal. No personal info, work or income is tied to it. Even so, this nonsense gets my dander up. First, the place is a minefield of questionable possibilities, then TIL that you can get in hot water just for being there, or having been there once. Crazy.
it's been this way for years now, ive been using discord since around the time it launched and the first 2-3 years of discord are an entirely different experience compared to what it is now
someone i know had their account go from good standing to an immediate suspension for breaking the "non consensual adult imagery" policy, even though they've never posted such content and their own server is still up and running just fine (which is the only place they post nsfw content in as far as i know), so, with what was said at 8:40 it makes me think that discord may be jumping to blanket account suspensions when a server gets removed for breaking ToS
Getting Discord banned for being intentionally made into the owner of a No-No channel isn't the worst part. Discord is morally and legally obligated to contact whatever local or international authority is in charge of tracking down and arresting people who like that sort of stuff, which mean your RL is now affected and you could lose you job, friends, etc. just for being implicated.
i was in some muslim discord servers and then all of them got banned for "violent and graphic content" or "violent extremism" (all of them had rules against graphic content and extremism) and now i'm on risk and cannot send messages till 10th of may
@@Eashyy2401 no, the servers were mainly inactive and heavily moderated, unlikely anyone would post graphic content or extremism, it could be because some of the servers contained "caliphate" in their name but im not sure
Thanks for the video. That seems pretty dumb, honestly. I'm in a bunch of servers that I don't really keep track of, since I don't really use Discord all that much, but I can see that happening randomly.
A likely deduction is that the server raid made it difficult to "separate the wheat from the chaff." The sheer chaos of such shenanigans can, quite potentially, throw off anyone who was trying to make a sense of what was going on at the time. Shocking events like these take time to process - and a chat clogged with spam isn't gonna help any kind of legitimate investigation in any sort, at the end of the day - though it does make for a quick laugh and a funny story to help cope with the heat of things, understandably. That being said, I hope they also take time to remedy this problem.
When Omegle was still a thing, I joined servers randoms would invite me to by using an alternate Discord account. After reporting one of the servers for child exploitation through Discord and through Twitter to Discord, I was banned next day even though I was no longer in the server. If Discord continues to ban people for reporting issues as urgent as child exploitation, it would be better for everyone to switch to Guilded and let Discord die to their choices.
This has been a thing for a long time, I've known people who got banned just for being in a server that got terminated, and Discord wasn't willing to help via email support. Tbh I told everyone this would become a common issue that impacts people. Literally joined Guilded specifically because of this and the embed edit exploits people did.
My friends and I exclusively use Guilded because it just works. There's no corporate drama and no company hating on you. Idk what their moderation is like because nobody does anything banworthy. All around good product. I wish their UI was a little more simplistic so the attention disorder people wouldn't have to learn how to push 1 extra button to do a couple things compared to Discord because it really is better.
@@William0271 I also use Guilded and agree about its UI. The biggest issue with Guilded rn is its mobile app being dysfunctional. Moderation-wise, it's a lot more controllable than Discord because you can set a server to require applications to join, which Discord is only proposing for special types of servers now that will have different feature-sets. Overall, I think that a different app will come in to overtake Discord, but that app won't be Guilded if their development schedule is any indication.
I stopped using guilded because they locked me out of my account for no good reason. I put my password in and it refused to work, and they just would not send the forgot password email when I pressed it
@@SuperNerdAdamsGarage Sounds like a glitch. I'd rather a glitch that every once in a while does that (fixable) than a conscious decision to randomly lock people and ban them for using your app.

First I thought the title might be a little bit of a click bait... But since I've watched some of the spy pet stuff of yours, I was inclined to watch the whole thing and actually found that two of the servers I'm in had that unnecessary permission. Thanks for the heads up! Discord should really get some of their workflows checked out... I'm sure the ownership transfer, where you're just becoming the owner of a server without even having to agree to it, is not the only problematic concept that could be abused.
I get why people don't read terms of service's, theyve got enough pages to fill a second bible usually. But people to looking at the 3 or 4 permissions they're granting a random bot is a pretty good example of why internet scamming is still so popular lol
thanks man for letting us know about this. ive checked this today and removed a lot of unwanted bots that had access and one of them even being able to join other servers. so glad i found this video, in general i am very safe on the internet but i did not know that certain things could slip by
The problem is: You can only report complete servers via phone. How stupid is that to log out, log in with a other account, join the server, report the server, leave the server, log out, log back in with the main. Which not Discord mod wants to do something like that?
9:28 I had a user on a server i was moderating, get hacked (one of the scan qr code to "verify") and start spaming links to join, grabbed an alt account, joined the server, clicked the report button(it was adverting (cant say this on youtube or it gets flagged) and left, my account got limited without me ever getting past the "verify" channel
Discord being Discord and banning/suspending people 24/7 as usual😂 Edit: if you report someone, they dont get suspended, but if you are in a server you never typed a message and joined 1725 days ago, they will launch nuclear missiles at your address
sounds like discord has a problem with people with memory problems, like I got a violation on my discord account because I joined a server a few years ago I forgot about. but there’s all these obvious pedophiles running rampant on the platform and some of them even have nitro because they know discord won’t ban them
Also if you're account gets limited/banned don't think you can just shoot discord a message and they will understand and remove the limit/ban. Some people in the support forums waiting MONTHS for a response(only a response, not a resolution) to their ticket. Often, the account will be deactivated and the 30 day deletion period will be up before you get a response, meaning their is no way now for them to restore your account. Discord only cares about getting money right now, not treating their customers right.
They definitely need to remove the singular bot feature that is making most of these false bans/warns happen. Also, maybe put a check on how long they are actively looking at the server, then make a decision to punish the accounts(if they have the application opened when they got put into the server, likely via bot, add an "idle" check before conducting activity research), mainly to determine if they were glossing through channels to find and report certain content or if they were trying to consume and involve themselves in the server's members' illegal shenanigans (or inappropriate content outside 18+ channels)
I'm surprised I didn't get my account banned. I have my discord account since 2015 and joined like 100+ servers. I remember joining a sketchy hangout server where guys keep dming their explicit pic and messeges go like "16M 5'9." Left that server immediately. Then there was a time I got curious and joined those pump and dumps servers that those bots keep dming me, to see what really happens.
Agreed, my old main (it was a 5 year or so old account that had premium for years and probably hundreds of dollars worth of robux on it btw) got banned just because I told someone to shut up (they were being an ass to me and a few of my friends i was playing with)
I can personally testify to the fact that my old Discord account in February was banned despite being in a server, sending nothing, and was in it for 30 minutes doing nothing.
This is really old news. I was in 2018 in a Server about taking care of German lolcows. Every single member got perma banned by Discord without any unbans. This included accounts who haven't done anything wrong. So, this is old news, to get banned just by being in a very Discord ToS unfriendly server
I have a feeling the next update is where when one user does something bad (on a server where he's by himself), the every discord user in existence gets ban.
I would like to say something about what was said at 12:12 regarding your comment about just going and getting a minimum wage job. Some of these users do things like this to support themselves in other countries. The US dollar has such a high value in worse economies that unfortunately this is a feasible income for some. It is a similar situation as the WOW Gold Sellers, though in my eyes the gold selling community in WOW put a lot of work into building a economy around "tangible" virtual goods.
6:07 there was a server I’m on and a random guy joined and started harassing members and being transphobic for no reason, then when we were reporting them to the mods of the server this guy (who obviously has no clue how discord works cause apparently he didn’t know he could be kicked from a server without being banned) said that it’s no use trying report him because his account was already banned and sent a SS of his account with the ban for child safety 💀 needless to say he was gone the instant a mod came online.
5:35 like a year ago I had my entire account suspended cuz I was in a server that was banned for bullying and harassment and I never talked in that server ever before
Really really really hoping they get this mess sorted out with how things are handled. I did drop any servers I'm not active in (outside of ones I advertise some of my own work in often, but I may trim the fat farther), but man this is annoying.
Same shit happened to be like a week ago, I got a, no joke, violation that took my account up to a very limited state, JUST BECAUSE I WAS IN A SERVER, THAT WAS FUCKING REPORTED. I tried appealing the violation and I'm still waiting for a response.
Good luck, you'll either get an autobot response of "Everything was reviewed and considered to be correct and your violation will not be removed" or no response at all
It’s sad to see even with the new system this is still an issue. My original discord account that dated back to 2017 got disabled permanently after I joined a server that would fall under Child Safety to report it and leave. However because I was in the server regardless, discord ended up disabling me. This was back when you had to report servers manually with IDs and stuff, so I went to discord support with the exact support ticket of me reporting that server plus a few others, and they still didn’t budge. Didn’t hear me out and just gave me bot messages saying the ban won’t be lifted. It sucks.
It's also fairly common for large servers to get sold to crypto scam bullshit, which means if you're inactive on discord you just hop along onto the scamdiscord and get punished. Very cool!

First banning owners for what their members do, and now they're doing it to all members? This is stupid. Discord needs to rework their management big time.
Discord banning accounts even if they didn't do anything just for being in a server that breaks TOS has been a thing for years so its nothing new
This ain't new, these banwaves that affect everyone on a server. Happened to me in 2018, in a Server about taking care of German lolcows, got every single person banned, including innocent members
they should just blame the owner instead of every single member
Discord moderators don't have brains
It's justifiable to ban server owners for what the users are doing. If mods make zero effort to enforce basic TOS banning the owner makes sense.
Ah yes, ban the person reporting the illegal activity on your platform.

The fact that members, staff, and the owner can get into trouble for a small group of people having effective debate on government response to the pandemic is ridiculous to me, and I'm surprised Discord can operate that way.
this is a prime example of why discord moderation sucks ass
Wait wait, I wanna make sure I'm reading this right.
So you're telling me that
1. They were debating covid policy in a way that was effective and was actually a proper debate

Getting Discord banned for being intentionally made into the owner of a No-No channel isn't the worst part.
Discord is morally and legally obligated to contact whatever local or international authority is in charge of tracking down and arresting people who like that sort of stuff, which mean your RL is now affected and you could lose you job, friends, etc. just for being implicated.
i was in some muslim discord servers and then all of them got banned for "violent and graphic content" or "violent extremism" (all of them had rules against graphic content and extremism) and now i'm on risk and cannot send messages till 10th of may
Nah who let discord cook im also a muslim
time to move to another app
Time to go to guilded
did anyone of them did it tho ? 💀
A likely deduction is that the server raid made it difficult to "separate the wheat from the chaff."
The sheer chaos of such shenanigans can, quite potentially, throw off anyone who was trying to make a sense of what was going on at the time.
Collective punishment is one thing (not a war crime but definitely illegal outside USA), but BANNING THE PERSON WHO REPORTED is just XDDD
Ah So The EU's Kicking Discord's Door Down Then
@@eternadashhopefully soon, but discord accounts are not worth any money, and it's not a privacy issue so EU doesn't really care
its illegal in the usa too
wait people are only just finding this possibility out? i feel like ive known about this for years, thought it was common knowlege
@@RandomAnimeGamer "Guilded is a VoIP, instant messaging and digital distribution platform designed by Guilded Inc. and owned by Roblox Corporation"
*So basically you're going from one corporation to another corporation.*
I'm sure the ownership transfer, where you're just becoming the owner of a server without even having to agree to it, is not the only problematic concept that could be abused.
this is just like when a couple kids in the back of the class are loud, so all the kids in the class get punished
My bad discord I used your app that was my fault
I get why people don't read terms of service's, theyve got enough pages to fill a second bible usually. But people to looking at the 3 or 4 permissions they're granting a random bot is a pretty good example of why internet scamming is still so popular lol
thanks man for letting us know about this. ive checked this today and removed a lot of unwanted bots that had access and one of them even being able to join other servers. so glad i found this video, in general i am very safe on the internet but i did not know that certain things could slip by
This has happened to me years ago. Got banned for being in a server that broke TOS despite me not interacting in the server
The problem is:
You can only report complete servers via phone. How stupid is that to log out, log in with a other account, join the server, report the server, leave the server, log out, log back in with the main. Which not Discord mod wants to do something like that?
My account isn't in danger skyler, my account is the danger.
this guy sounds so calm yet so effective ❤
happened to me twice in the span of 2 weeks, discord is punishing the innocent for the crimes of the guilty
Discord being Discord and banning/suspending people 24/7 as usual😂
Edit: if you report someone, they dont get suspended, but if you are in a server you never typed a message and joined 1725 days ago, they will launch nuclear missiles at your address
sounds like discord has a problem with people with memory problems, like I got a violation on my discord account because I joined a server a few years ago I forgot about. but there’s all these obvious pedophiles running rampant on the platform and some of them even have nitro because they know discord won’t ban them

Thanks for the advice about removing any auths with the Join Servers permission, I had 3 active and didn't realize it.
They usually do what you are proposing. But sometimes not.
10:37 Thank you for showing me this! I thought to check and a few bots had "joins servers for you", so I removed them :3
I'm surprised I didn't get my account banned.
Discord is turning into Roblox, and they both need serious rework in their businesses
Ya that's insane
This is really old news. I was in 2018 in a Server about taking care of German lolcows. Every single member got perma banned by Discord without any unbans. This included accounts who haven't done anything wrong. So, this is old news, to get banned just by being in a very Discord ToS unfriendly server
It doesnt ban you....watch the vid
@@arcythecube it might have 7 years ago that time allows for a lot of changes to happen

12:39 yeah, they could charge 500 to 2k dollars, depending how active users are. now compare 2k with 6 dollars
Vsauce: your discord account is safe, or IS IT?
If you are in a server you can never consider your account safe.
I was actually authorized with restorecord and didnt notice the danger! Thank you so much for this video :)
It sucks.
You should go to church and confess in your sins, it is a very bad sin, you were judging others and got judged.
It's also fairly common for large servers to get sold to crypto scam bullshit, which means if you're inactive on discord you just hop along onto the scamdiscord and get punished. Very cool!
8:30 but what if read message history is disabled? and user can't see old messages and nobody posts anything at the moment you're looking?
