What a superb record store this is Brendon. Great layout, tidy and lots of room. Could spend hours in it! Thanks for adding another great shop to the others we enjoy going to with you!
Awesome store!! I was there a few months back. They agreed to be the exclusive NY store to stock our upcoming record! Was so stoked they were on biard, store is INCREDIBLE!!!
YES!!! This is my record store, the best in the area and one of the best overall. The staff is amazing!!!! Everyone needs to check them out, Thanks Brendon for giving them some airtime.
Loved hearing the record store rock some Mark Lanagan in the background. I ordered a record from them once online to be sent to me in L.A. Nice to actually see the inside of the store. Thanks for sharing my friend.
Great video man. I have been to quite a few record stores from watching your videos. Keep em coming. Year the Sun died is a great album. Arise and purify kicks is off, just right in tour face. The Dying age is my favorite on this album. Hope you enjoy it man!!!!Warrel Dane was a great singer. 🤘
Wow,great record store ,probably my favourite so far ,I've just ordered the Four horsemen's first album after watching your find's ,I would no doubt spend hours in that place ,hey ,who knows one day if I ever cross the pond I will ,great channel that adds to my CD/record collecting knowledge.
Brendon, Rock Fantasy IS F’N AWESOME! Like I mentioned before it’s a second home to me….bought TONS of CDs & music merch from there. I known Steve the owner for a long time. I was just near Middletown for my monthly stagehands’ union meeting (this past Sunday-November 8) and had plans to head over but I had to head back home to Norwalk CT due to having to hit the grocery store for my dog and run some light errands. But I plan to be back up there sometime soon.
Out Of The Silence is so good, it is one of my (and many others') favourite AOR albums. That Air Raid is actually their 3rd album, so more to look forward to for you. It's a good one, got it last month. And I remember a time when many record stores were that huge...
that David Johansen is really rare, I was happy to find one when I did, while it is not my favorite album of his, I'm glad I have it. If you don't have his earlier solo efforts, check them out, I think they are great.
Loved that FNM record - Angel Dust and Motorhead's 1916 too. Henry Lee Summer... I have a cassingle of his song I Wish I Had A Girl. Good roots rocker.
Looks like a great store. Maybe I will make it out there some day. The best store we have down my way is called Monster Music Movies and More in Charleston, SC. One of the few that has a great CD collection along with a massive vinyl section.
That's a serious store as far as quantity and it appears quality as well just going by your video. There are about an hour from me but I've never been. Anthony is an hour and a half so I shall check this store out. I live in the lower Shawangunk's as it's sort of like the small mountain range everybody forgets. The Catskills and Poconos are romanticized but ours are smaller and lead right into the mid-Hudson Orange-Ulster region. How much soul/jazz did they have?
Brendon you should donate some of your favorite stuff so that it’s a really big deal and really sad and then you’ll be able to do these videos where you’re really searching for stuff you NEEEED, we’d all feel the excitement with you if we got to see you finding all the albums you already have that you love so much
Henry Lee Summer, once you listen to this cd you will be on the hunt for the rest of his stuff all out of print and really hard to find but great music. The first three are « real gems » as you would say.
Hi Brendon, absolutely right … KKs Priest are top notch. Ripper Owens is a great vocalist. The 2 albums he did with J Priest are criminally underrated IMO!
@BrendonSnyder yeah I like original label that the album was released on. Don't get wrong. Lot of the reissues are great I just prefer the original one instead.
I’ve fallen out of love with this store. I’ve left disappointed in the past and when I went in March I spent $200 and they wouldn’t even give me a bag for everything. But I was there the day after you and I got 12 cds and was happy with everything, including that Monument cd (I brought my own bag this time haha)
I don't get how nobody gives bags anymore. Even if you only spend $20 they should give a freakin bag. It's not just this store, but everywhere. OK they say there is too much plastic pollution....then give paper bags, totally recyclable.
@@EddieJazzFan I’m lucky as I’ve only had this problem at Darkside and local Walmarts. Everywhere else I get bags. Though they said at Darkside I could buy a bag for $15. I have re-usable bags from Rock Fantasy in Middletown and Sound Exchange that I didn’t have to pay extra for
Brendon, There is another UA-camr named Kyle Peterson who is a hard rock/metal fan is a HUGE wrestling fan and is a action figure collector LOVES Night Demon and they wrote an original song used as the intro to his videos.
I've always had good luck with Wounded Bird. Did you ever notice any release of theirs that was off or poorly mastered? Rock Fantasy is less than 10 miles from me. I used to deliver to him and his wife at my old job. If you like pinball, you are really in luck as Steve has incorporated that as part of his business as well. About a year ago I was in there and he had a deluxe version of The World is a Ghetto by War by it was on vinyl for the albums 50th anniversary. The package has since seen a cd release with a much cheaper price tag. I couldn't imagine someone buying that for $100 plus dollars on vinyl. I had 40th anniversary edition and that one had different but better bonus tracks.
@@BrendonSnyder Wounded Bird label reminds me of One Way label in their packaging which is pretty much true to the original if one didn't know what to look for. I prefer the write-up of labels like Cherry Red and BBR but you might not get what you are bargaining for in terms of the music which often is issued more accurately elsewhere.
Sir i hope you feature the band like Urgent that sang" Love can make you cry.. because i keep on looking for that cd but i couldn't find one in Amazon..thank you sir .. I'm your subscriber from the Philippines..
That Guardian CD is their 3rd one that came out in 1993. Fire and Love came out in 1991. I like F and L better than you one you showed. They released an acoustic album called Swing Swang Swung in 1994 which is not bad. They went more alternative with Buzz (1995) and Bottle Rocket (1997) which I don't care for. They released Almost Home in 2014. I scored the Def Leppard CD Retro Active last Saturday for only $5.00 at a local record store. I heard that one years ago.
the Deathrow, Riders Of Doom CD, according to discogs is a unofficial release. You really should make your research when you see this kind of old thrash CD on CD store, because its extremely rare to find this now, and lots of them are replica, or just unofficial. I personnally avoid this kind of disc for my collection! Nice big CD store in NY.
I did my research…your info is incorrect. The 1986 debut album Satan’s Gift was originally called Riders Of Doom but the label Combat changed it without the band’s permission. Noise Records reissued it with the proper name when the band switched labels in 1987. So it’s most definitely an official release. 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
@@BrendonSnyder only the noise international russia jewel case like your appear on discogs. i'm really curious to see the discogs matrix compared to your. replica have same code, just characters are different, spacing etc... i can't find info elsewhere...!
Not really a record store kinda guy. Mainly because I don’t know of many here in *Toronto-Canada* that carry the music of my most favourite bands anyway. That said, in regard to this place specifically, well hell any store/proprietor that spins & obviously enjoys that much *The Clash* music is a-okay with me.
