@@CuriousEnthusiast956 there are a number of decent ones. Rough Trade. I like the ones out in NJ much better. Tunes in Hoboken and Sound Exchange is very good. Princeton record exchange is very good also.
Several weeks ago, while visiting Phoenix from Sacramento, I took a side trip to the In Groove.Wonderful store and Mike took a minute to talk to me. First class operation all the way.
Absolutely amazing! Thanks for the great tour and running such a top notch record store - your passion and knowledge for records & related equipment is really something. The shirt looks good on you as well.
This is astonishing! I have been collecting for over 40 years and visited over a hundred record stores, I have never seen an operation like this! Almost too good to be true.
I've been watching your weekly 'new this week' vinyl drops and reviews of records for some time now. I haven't always agreed with you on some of your opinions and quite frankly, sometimes I've questioned your motives with some reviews. I am a buisness person who loves vinyl and have ran my own businesses over my 60+ years. I've had thoughts about opening my own record store when I "retire", and had some very specific things I would do if I do end up having a record store. I have to say, this video has impressed me and allowed me to respect you as a business person more than ever. As the old saying goes, "the devil is in the details" and you have certainly conquered that! Every thing has been thought out as a lover of vinyl records. Many of the things you are doing are things I have often thought I would do if I decided to open my own store. I have visited a lot of record stores locally and abroad, and quite frankly, yours is the best I have ever seen. Thank you for shariing and may you continue to have great success and devotion to this wonderful passion of ours.
Store looks amazing! And ooh a lovely big Jazz section! Any Lee Morgan or Hank Mobley BN first pressings?! I have most but I am always looking out for a BLP 1568 and BLP 1590 :)
Very well done and great to see! thank you. I personally love the NON fluorescent lighting, softer and reminds me of my cave for being relaxed. Sigs Lagoon in Houston is great for this. Also like Posters and being engulfed in RnR memorabilia. However, I realize you do need to make profit on every inch of space you can. But would make it a Vinyl bucket list to visit the In Groove. Been to many throughout the U.S.
This is mind blowing. I've never seen a shop like this before. I can't imagine some of the clientele that Mike works with, he seems like such an authority in the trade.
Wow, I guess the question I had, "I wonder if there are any record stores selling albums like back in the day?" has been answered. Impressive operation. Maybe I need to rethink selling my Technics turntable !!
I “actually” loved this video … I’m going to re-watch it and count how many times you say the word “actually” …. Just kidding … Northern New Jersey loves you :)
You actually said actually 66 times in this video - that almost more than the number of records I have ordered from you over the years! Just bustin you Mike, you and Angel rock :)
My favorite record store. I've been coming to Phoenix every year for Cleveland Spring Training since 2010 and your store since opening about 5 years later - what a store! Always find something to bring home and I also order new through the mail. I'll have to ask to hear something in you listening room next year since you hadn't gotten the Getz/Gilberto Impex LP in yet the day I was there in March Keep up the excellent work!
Wow this is an amazing store, you have it all covered! Your store is immaculate and exceptional, I wish you were in Vegas too 😔. Thanks for the great videos! 👍
Great store and video - as a South African we don't have anything close to this level of range or availability, can only wish i somehow visit your store one day.
Wow, that place is immence! I particularly like the service you provide to clean and flatten old neglected records Would definitely pop by with some of the gems my dad handed me if I were close enough Great channel
A fascinating tour - thank you for taking the time to share. The whole store is so well thought through and beautifully presented - if I lived locally, I’d spend a LOT of time and money with you. Keep up the good work 👍
Really good to see the full setup, all toper tier, the record flateners, the ultrasonics, the listening gear. Really nice to see the quality of the classical stuff you've got too. What I would do to have a store like yours locally to me! If I was state side, I'd definitely pop down to say hi.
This is a blueprint for how to run a really great store. So good to see a well organised business run by someone who cares about his customers and products. Record store owners take note! Shame I live in the UK!
Not enough people use that blue bin for the trashed Lps. It's an epidemic with one store selling LPs with white powder mold all over. I use clean inner sleeves for packing and covers for box stiffeners. Nice open concept store. You do what you love and love what you do. Thanks!
Wowser - many thanks for the detailed insight into your store. Who knew?. You are probably the finest record store in the world, I can't imagine anywhere being better!!. Completely stunned by how much inventory you carry though - your accountant must love you for that!!.
You've obviously worked very hard to build a successful business operation and a well organized record store that's fully stocked as best you can. Great video!
Man, you've got a lot of records, sir .... What an awesome store! I wish I lived near the In Groove, my local store doesn't have half the selection, nor does it have the Sq footage -- It's a cute little shop, but it'd difficult to walk through without stepping on LPs or other people! Thanks for the tour and keep up the good work!
Thank you for having a dedicated Punk section. This is a genre that didn't "bounce back" recently, the punk kids have been buying vinyl the entire time. Too often this is lumped in with indie/alternative and just complicates things; and we're not the brightest or most patient demographic. Cheers!
"I would assume that every genre of music we carry is the largest in the state of Arizona". That is probably an accurate statement - now that PDQ Records in Tucson is gone. Thanks for the tour Mike, I hope to visit and say hello one day!
I have Carver Mono Block Silver 7 and Silver 9 AMPS. A few Carver M500T. Technics !210 European turntables. Carver 4000 preamp. A pair of Carver Tower Speakers. Cerwin Vega Sub Woofers
Watched your store tour, cleaning process video, and the record store day live feed, all are great. Wife and I enjoyed you and Angel on record store day. I was wondering what POS system you use?
The people of Arizona are very lucky. This is one of the best record shops (and owners) I have ever seen!
On my bucket list to visit your store! As a business owner myself, I totally respect how organized and well run your store is.
This is a “Perfect” record store. Will take a trip there someday from NYC.
I’m going to take a trip there someday from Antarctica.
I would have thought that NYC has endless amounts of brilliant record stores.

Nice operation. It's nice to see the attention to detail reflected in the condition of the equipment and space, as well as your store's processes.
Wow what an amazing shop very organised, plenty of jazz, absolute paradise……!!!
As if I wasn’t jealous enough of all of the records then you show the hifi equipment! ❤
