This shop is superb Brendon. You seem to always find some raraties here for great prices. Good to see such a large quantity of used rock/metal CDs as well. Some great ones in this video, I would be a regular visitor for sure!
UFO's Rarities doesn't contain any rarities, it's just Live in Texas 1979 (also released as Hot 'N' Ready In Texas 1979). Urban Verbs was a good underrated post-punk/new wave band formed by vocalist/lyricist Roddy Frantz (brother of Talking Heads drummer Chris Frantz). The CD you showed is their self-titled debut album recorded in late 1979 and released in early 1980. If you ever find their second and final album Early Damage from 1981, don't hesitate to grab it because it's as good as their first!
Long Cold Winter , what an album , what memories .., a 17 year old long haired pimple faced teen and hanging out with my buddies and the neighbourhood chicks behind the convenience store parking lot with the boom box , smoking weed and just chilling .., all of us naive , not knowing what the future would hold
Hi Brendon, very surprised to see that Midnight Oil 'Live at the old Lion 1982' in the store. That, as far as I know had a very limited pressing of around 2000, and was only available via a website. Great score!!!
I watch everyday but can’t understand how u can keep track & listen to ur entire collection…I had a 10,000 museum too & I realized the 10 yr listening cycle..for u it must be 15 yrs to grab a specific Cd …you’re awesome keep rockin etc
I know it's too much. Considering he admitted he's in his late 40's, not married (never married), no children, no girlfriend....he has too much free time & extra cash so it gives him something to focus on.
@@SaintMartins Brendon is a total completist ..every band member w/a side project he’s got to own & to buy the same damn album due to One friggin song is so unnecessary….more power to him it’s what he’s passionate about but I bet he sits there & says “ what if I burn it all” ….as if he is TRAPPED in this YT life ….random thoughts r fun …go Brandon
My fave store. Used to go there every week when my daughter went to school in town. Now I try to get there once/month. My collection has grown tremendously the past decade by visiting PREX…and yet I’m still only at about 2,400 CDs…nowhere close to Brendon!
Nicollete Larson was awesome. She gave us the ultimate adult contemporary track of the 70s, Lotta Love, written by Neil Young. Rumba Girl was a nice followup. Nicollete sang on a lot of other artists albums such as Linda Ronstadt and a hit by Christopher Cross. I know she did children's albums later. I had not idea she was an actress! Plimsouls..Plus is so awesome and hard to find on cd. I got it 20 years ago and have never ever seen it again. Raw stuff like Now and Zero Hour which was their best stuff!
Brother cane! I always loved that band. In fact,I ordered their 1994 album 30th anniversary edition on casette from Girder records the other day. Looking forward to getting that in!
Hi, brendon, lucky dog. By the way very cool store! You showed some nice classic rock gems ! Love joe walsh, wow! Copperhead, brother cane is goood!!! Real good sounds like alman brothers, loved the blue cheer, iron butterfly too, rare vanilla fudge.very nice! Long live the classics!👍👍👍 Aldo nova, too yah!
How Does Your Garden Grow? is my favorite album by Better Than Ezra. Particle, Under You and Waxing or Waning? are three of my absolute favorite songs of theirs. I'll be very curious to see if you warm up to it at all.
Great haul. The Wallflowers CD, if I'm not mistaken, includes popular tracks but also one off songs from movie soundtracks and such. The Tal Bachman debut CD is very good. I had completed a large, for me, order on discogs and the seller offered to throw an extra CD in for a $1. One of the choices was Tal's CD and i remembered the song She's So High; figured that even the rest of the songs were awful $1 for one good song was worth it. Turms out that one popular song is not even the best track on the album, and it has a Beatles vibe to it; still play it about once a month. Great pick up.
Great video, I'm retired and live on top of a mountain now so I don't get out to stores much anymore and I like seeing that the internet hasn't destroyed the locals. Still think you need to shave.
Rory Gallagher! Both of them are brilliant, love Gallagher, and his Taste stuff. That’s a great price on the James Gang cd!! I’d have had that one no problem! Man, wish I was there, I’d be a lot poorer, but it would be bloody worth it though Edit: Cherry Pie, great album. Love Warrant As regards the Ram Jam to be issued on cd, yes, totally agree with you on that. It’s a great album!
Nicolette Larson sang Lotta Love on Neil Young’s Comes a time album, made a nice batch of albums herself but died pretty young in 1997.She was married to great drummer Russell Kunkel when she died.
If you ever head down here to South jersey, check out Abbey Road records in Mt.Ephriam, N.J. I go there for vinyl, but he's a C.D. guy, and he does have a healthy selection to choose from. It's down by the Walt Whitman bridge
The Semisonic and Midnight Oil EP’s are great. Some of the songs on Pleasure are also on the first full album, “Great Divide”, which is still my favorite. I know you weren’t as keen on it, but maybe Pleasure will have you revisit it. 😁
Brendon, awesome pick ups. I want to get that UFO Rarities CD, I have the Motorhead Best Of II CD….I think 1916 is underrated and also Bastards is awesome. I really into Tommy Bolin especially when he was in Deep Purple w/ Glen Hughes & David Coverdale. I know that lineup of Deep Purple was a wild one but as we both know sometimes w/ art (especially in music) the best creativity comes out of chaos. (I like that-the best creativity comes out of chaos.-It somewhat worked for Metallica’s St. Anger!)😂😂
great video I mean all that for a $100 you definitely aren't going to be able to do that in Manhattan, maybe at Academy if you only hit the budget section, but places like Book Off are ridiculous now, despite them having a huge selection downstairs now they moved it, its pricing is a joke I used to buy from them like crazy I think I have bought one thing in the last two years in there thats how horrible their pricing has become.
What a pitty, that I live in the Netherlands where most record stores are gone, especially in the smaller cities and villages, where I happen to live. I would have gone with a well filled bag full of cd's from this record store I am sure 😁 Resist from Midnight Oil f.e.
Brendon thanks for putting this addition from Princeton. This is my favorite haunt when visiting my brother down in Jersey. Interesting perspective concerning the used bins at the store. The present day students download their music as opposed to the hand held media back in the day. Interesting that the bins were loaded for some nice finds.
It probably is time to film one from Sound Exchange. However since I film so many other things there I have tended to stay away from the Let’s Go To The Record Store episodes. But I’ll keep it in mind.
Hey Brendon I Really Enjoy All Your Videos. I Am Just Curious Could You o A Big Favor Me I Am Having A Hard Time Looking For Survivor "Reach" On CD Could you Pick It Up For Me Or Tell Me Some Store Info Like Phone Numbers So I Can Get Ordered I See It On Ebay And Amazon But The Prices Are A Little High Please Get Back To Me I Would Really Appreciate It.

You have the best record stores where you live. I love watching these and hate it too out of pure jealousy.
I bought that Copperhead CD when it was released around’92. Good album.
What a score ! You need to do a new counting of your cd's 😊

PREX! Really need to hit this store next time I’m in NJ. Thanks for the walkthrough!
It’s a great spot to find some gems!

Great video, that store looks like a fun place to visit and find some great music at a very reasonable price.

It’s called Nova’s Dream (1997). It’s a rock album with some electronic influences and some vocal effects. It’s not a guitar instrumental album.
