Sir Army Suit, Like you said; IT BOTHERS YOU. Now that you have identified YOUR problem, YOU can start dealing with it to correct that. Maybe try professional therapy. Have a nice day.
I don’t understand why it would bother you???? I think its interesting to hear and watch people so into their music that all the details you mentioned matter to them and to me at times. I’ve made purchases on albums I already have just for the hype sticker, to me it just adds to the already vintage or art work. Oh and by the way it doesn’t bother me at all with the type of collector you are, I’m just glad to know you enjoy music and it makes you happy and that’s what counts. Enjoy!!!!
Oh lord I’d never go to his store another reason why I don’t go to record stores the owners are WAY to possessive and arrogant it’s so worth paying more and have people being nice to u than dealing with jerks
All is fair in love and war (and vinyl collecting).. first come first serve. Since he's new to the album and didn't have a copy, and you have one in shrink, I'd have been happy to see it go to someone who needed it more than you do. Since you asked what we thought. I'm always just sad to see all the brilliant music you don't pay attention to over your Beatles finds, but hey that's what you love so those other amazing albums you flipped through will go to a good home too. That was a nice collection, other than I'd have gone bankrupt taking what I wanted from it. lol. Cool Video
Vinyl CollectorJames - Well, I couldn't buy all 1000 albums even if I wanted them all now, could I? Anyway, I don't think the other guy 'needed' the Beatles album, not at all (you have to know him). But thanks for your opinion. You're right, of course, about "all's fair"; just that I'm vocalizing my disappointment.
Owner at the beginning: THEYRE MINT, BE CAREFUL. BE CAREFUL PLEASE THEY ARE MINT IN SHRINK Owner at 12:40: Casually tosses a mint, unopened record in the shrink wrap like its a a beer coaster at a seedy bar
So now do we all go out and buy all the different colors of the McCartney III reimagined? The one they released is pretty good! I’m not quite sure why he’s doing this. He seems to be in overdrive. He certainly doesn’t need the money.
We had Korvettes in Philadelphia back in the day. I remember buying "Something New" there . You're fortunate to have a independent record store to visit, mine closed years ago. I remember Stars on 45 from 1981. Odd release.
You were upset that he didn't know what songs were on Beatles 65, but isn't the point of buying the record? If you already know the record by heart (and already own several copies of it), then you probably don't really need it!
TrustMeI'mBlack - Judging things for myself, yeah I feel I "need" it (though of course the only real needs in life are food, water, shelter - I get that). I've never seen a copy that pristine in the shrink wrap, and that, after all, is my main goal if you watch my Beatles Finds vids - especially when it comes to Beatles records which I know and love 100%. And since you don't know the guy, I must tell you that he's not really interested in playing the records, he just loves minty copies in shrink wrap (I have almost the same reputation in a way, yet I am a severe record listener as compared to this guy!). He sometimes buys three or four copies of an album if he gets it home and the inner paper sleeve is bent a little. He takes records out of the jackets and places them on the turntable... he wants the wax to be 100% FLAT; if he sees the record even slightly wavering, he dismisses it (it doesn't have to be warped, just ever so slightly non-flat). If his aim is to hear the music for his first time, he could obviously hear it without buying the record. I am not denying that anyone has a right to buy what they want for whatever reason they want; I'm just expressing my disappointment. And again I'll repeat that I once let him have an REM disc that he desperately wanted, even though I was going to buy it (a part of the video everyone is neglecting). So much for reciprocation.
Okay, I wasn't aware that you all were in such fierce competition for getting the gold. In your case, it seemed like you wanted to buy those Stones records because you started getting into their music, which sounds like the best reason to buy any record. I don't know why the store owner was discouraging you from buying them, or maybe he just like yanking folks' chains for his personal pleasure, like when he made that poor lady give him a little head before he would buy her records! Now I'm thinking maybe he schedules the good shipments of Beatles stuff for when he knows you won't be around, just to burn you. :)
It's a good thing I'm not a collector like this. I don't have any sealed vinyl that lasts more than maybe a day after I get it home. The enjoyment for me is playing on the turntable and getting it to sound its best.
I love the dynamic you have there, its clear you have a relationship with them and spend money, I work retail in a place with limited and we have customers that that just miss things and there are people who get real upset. We have people like Greg there who buy things because 1 they don't have it or 2 they want more/another one. or 3. the internet told them they could resell it (which is illegal for alcohol). 5 it was highly rated. 6. because its perceived as rare. But we also have customers (like true beatles junkies) who just love a certain style of beer and want to drink a barrel aged doppelbock and the really like doppelbock, and no one makes one let alone a barrel aged one. You can liken it nerd wise to: For greg its beatle and its MINT I want it where as to some (apparently you) who love the beatles and would love to own such a great album in such good condition. From a retailers point of view we really try to adhere to the first one in the store gets the product. It's Hard for a Retailer to gauge who would get more enjoyment out of a product and it can be awkward when two good customers come in and want the last of something, but at the end of the day its a flat mark up the product is on the shelf to pay the rent ASAP. It stinks missing something cool but at the end of the day there is always another Limited Beer/Record something that would make you just as happy Cheers
You make a great point and completely understood. There are times I will buy albums that I like and there have been plenty of times I will let it go to someone who is really into the group/band more than I am. A few of these folks have really appreciated it and you can see it in their face how happy they are. Take care
Since you said you'd like to know what we think... (Since tone is difficult to convey online, I say this in a friendly manner as I would to any buddy standing in front of me) I honestly felt like questioning him on what songs were on '65 was a little out of line. Just because he doesn't know the track listing doesn't mean he shouldn't be able to buy the record if he saw it first. For example, my store just got in a massive Zep collection. I don't collect them but I've been holding out for mint copies of II and IV for a quite some time-to get to know the albums. I couldn't tell you more than a couple songs on each. But that doesn't mean I don't have a right to buy them before a diehard Zeppelin fan. And the same could be said for you with those Stones albums, right? I know you like their earlier stuff, but surely there's someone out there who likes the Stones in the way you like The Beatles. Seems like a borderline double standard. You have a great collection of Beatles albums. But you can't have them all! :)
jshdllrd - Thanks for the honest comment. Re: the Led Zeppelin point... of course anyone has a "legal" right to buy the album first! :) I'd say it's more of an unspoken ethical thing. .... Of course at the end of the video I conceded too that, of course, "first come, first served", "all's fair", and words to that effect. I was just expressing my disappointment, that's all. It's amazing to me though that everyone who has commented on this topic has completely missed the bit where I said how I once gave up an REM disc because this same guy was so keen on it and loved them more than I do. ... Of course the same can be said about the Rolling Stones albums and me taking them ahead of a huge Stones Fan, you're right on that - but however, there really aren't any hardcore Stones regulars at this store (that I am aware of, that is!). So in a way, it's not quite the same thing. ... But in any event, I do realize that I was being rather extreme here while acknowledging at the same time "every man for himself when it comes to records, and fair is fair, etc". .. But I'm not going to pretend I was not both disappointed and in a way kind of betrayed, considering the REM scenario where I let the same guy have it when I grabbed it first. Reciprocation is a nice thing too, no? :)
MeanMr Mayo I hear ya. Yes it is sort of a having one another's backs kind of thing. You know, two or three times now, I have experienced the EXACT same situation with my local record store. The owner received an amazing collection of Beatles/Beatles-related gems (Mother picture sleeve, Walking In the Park With Eloise picture sleeve, promos, Something New UK Export, NM German/UK presses, you name it). But they kept them in the back room for quite some time before telling me. Then when I was actually "granted access" they weren't for sale yet...Eventually I was able to put my name on several, then purchase them later, but the whole situation was frustrating at the time. I should also add that I have a close relationship with my store, like you. I'm in all the time and they know I'm a Beatles collector. And even though I don't comment all that often, I've watched (quite literally) every one of your videos over the past few years. So I understand the dynamic there and it seems Joe likes to mess with you sometimes because he likes you.
jshdllrd - Thanks, and I do suppose you'd need to be familiar with all or most of my vids over the years to understand where I'm coming from. Some people who just hit this video cold are not going to understand. I mean I don't take things like this for granted in any other general shop I walk into where I don't have a relationship or history with the owners.
I applaud you for letting the other guy have the R.E.M. album but just because you did that for him, it does not mean he has to do the same for you. Ultimately, it is his choice.
You are very blessed yo live near a record store! I have an antique store where I get a lot of my stuff. Going to the real record store this Sunday an hour away very exited!
I would have been all over those minty Mothers Verve albums. About fifteen years ago, I got a sealed rainbow-label stereo _Beatles '65_ album from an elderly aunt of all people. She'd bought it back in '65 and never opened it.
Um...call me dense, but is Beatles '65 valuable? Because I found 2 of them in the recent arrivals yesterday and passed them up and now I'm worried if it's something I need to be shot for doing.
Look online, you always have people selling stuff that they do not know the true value of. A house clearance for example following a death, people just want rid so sell for cheap prices.
Joe, you know it's a dog eat dog in Beatles. Collecting. It can be rough in the trenches. My experience shows that the store owner plays everyone who spends a great deal of money there. They know they have the product and you don't. Don,'t get discouraged. Fight for the right! f32vinylguy. Joe
Hey Joe! Great video taking us with you into your record digging session at your local record shop. Looks like you found some great finds and sorry to see you missed out on the Beatles 65. I understand you feeling cut! But I hope you found another good copy of it soon!
T'is the way of the world. There's all kinds of instances where people fall into things that they may not appreciate as much as others. I've been "scooped" plenty of times by people like that, but here's the way I look at it. What I miss out on is just fine because I convince myself that something better is just around the corner. I can't tell you how many times I've been outbid on Ebay, for example, only to have the same item come up again in better condition and at a cheaper price. Its all about patience. I often pray, "Lord give me patience and please be quick about it".
Good analogy Paul. I look at it a similar way in that like I guess many people, I started collecting Beatles music when I was quite young. Back in those days, I would go into record shops well aware that I couldn't afford 99% of the items for sale. That didn't make me any less of a passionate fan but it did mean more oftentimes than not, the items I coveted went home with other collectors. So I try to keep that in context nowadays when I either experience or hear about people being "scooped" because they really are first world problems from my vantage point anyhow.
FitToBeTieDyed - True in general, but you just don't see original 1960's Beatles albums still in shrinkwrap as if they were just newly bought, every day.
jldraw - I just saw a notification from you (is it deleted?) where you wrote: "I don't think people missed the bit about the REM disc, instead I would hazard a guess that to most of us it just doesn't matter all that much. I mean this sort of stuff happens every day"..... Well, to this I'll say I think it's incredible that people in the comments are so bent out of shape about me expressing my disappointment with having missed out on a record to someone else, but yet they feel that it's of no significance at all that I was kind-hearted and thoughtful enough to recently forego an REM disc that 'I' wanted, and gave it to this very same guy who really, really, was hot for it. I mean if friendly reciprocation is not deemed important to these viewers, then I can't understand why they're on high horses chiding me vocalizing disappointment about missing a record.
Yeah I scrubbed it because I felt other users had already borne out my point and what's the use of beating a dead horse? But I guess I was trying to figure out where you were coming from in this video and others like it that you have posted in the past? Perhaps I'm wrong but it seems as if you believe there should be this dichotomy that exists between shop keepers/diehard (regular) collectors where shop keepers don't sell from under the noses of regular customers and that the collectors themselves don't buy from underneath the noses of each other. So that is the first part and the second part would be the idea that records should either be offered first to the diehard collectors of that particular band and/or are better off in their collections than with the general public or casual collectors because they can appreciate them more? In the case of the REM/Beatles '65 issue, I think the key difference is that in the case of the REM disc that Greg wanted, you both were in the store at the time and interested in the same item and you did him a solid by allowing him to take home an item, he really wanted. But as I understand it, you weren't even in the shop when Greg was going through the stacks and picked out "Beatles '65", so in order for him to reciprocate he would've basically had to have had you in the back of his mind as he was going through the stacks, intentionally bypassing Beatles records because he thought that you might be interested in that particular title. So that's the idea there, that in one case you were both in the store essentially having a discussion/negotiation over an item you both wanted and in the other case you have Greg in the store solo, not keeping you in mind by bypassing an item that he thought you might've been interested in.
jldraw - Oh there was no dead horse beaten on the "reciprocation" point ...because practically nobody even cared to pay any heed to it! :) .... Look, I don't know how many times I can concede (and I did state it in the end of this video actually) that "Greg's a good guy", "all's fair", and "win some, lose some" when it comes to "first come, first served" in this crazy record collecting thing of ours. With my "dichotomy" thing, I am not really speaking for the whole world at large, but only for this one particular store situation and the way I think Joe and I are together. I help Joe out a lot in the store, clean records for him and things (I don't expect or ask for pay - it's just a gesture), go on trips and lug some records for him, etc. and thus, perhaps I expect him to give me first dibs on Beatles stuff. (To be fair, Joe often DOES; I want to be clear on this.. but that's why sometimes it's befuddling when he doesn't). ....... Of course I understand too that there are other Beatles customers, but I'd bet Joe would tell you I'm his #1 buyer in that category. And bear in mind that there are often lots of Beatles-related items I pass up (even in this video I bypassed a CD box set), so it's not as if I'm always going to take 100% of the Beatles items which arrive in the store - often times I own much of it already anyway..... Finally, although Greg and I were not in the store together when he saw BEATLES '65, rest assured I went through his mind when he snagged that album that he didn't really have a passion for! Just as I know he loves The Who, and I even mentioned LIVE AT LEEDS (an album he wants in mint shape) in the video for him, before I knew he'd already dug through the bins and saw it himself. .... So I'm really only talking about this particular store, and these 'friends' (as I like to consider them).
Joe, this was one of your most powerful videos for all of us that have experienced the "agony of defeat" as well as the "thrill of victory". I have been there, fellow collector! As for the albums.....Lord God almighty, that's a collection with titles that aren't gonna go cheap...not with the miles of shrink wrap and original hype & price stickers. I would expect Princeton Record Exchange to get a haul like that...not your local corner non-descript shop! I'm lucky only in that I can look at a lot of those titles & say, "Been there, done that, know the songs. Thanks Again for a GREAT video!
Monaural$2.98 - Yep, like I conceded in the video, you win some and you lose some. All part of the hobby. Just more disappointing (to me, anyway) when someone who scores a cherished album over you isn't even that interested in it, really. Or when the store owner, who knows what a huge fan of a certain artist you are, sells it from under you, and then doesn't even tell you, hoping you'd never find out.
I'm really surprised with all The Beatles vinyl you buy from "your store", that the owner doesn't always give you first crack. I guess you have some competition from other collectors looking for the same type of Beatles vinyl. Good luck when the next "minty-shrink" collection comes in,,,,,,,,you might need it.
Steve Derda - I think even the owner would concede that I'm his biggest Beatles buyer there. But consider also, that I did pass up many records here that I've already got in "Grade A Shape" -and I don't need everything every time. So there will always be many pieces to go around to others, too. Hell, even in this very video I passed up on that CD Box Set.
dixielandfarm - I wish you much success in your endeavor. I've said I was going to cut back and focus purely on Beatles-related stuff, but I still find myself intrigued with non-Beatles stuff all the time. Still going to try and moderate that somewhat, too.
Joe, you are a classic my friend. Hurt about your Beatles 65 album thing. I love the Beatles and it just warms my heart that there are people like you out there that get that feeling of satisfaction by collecting Beatles stuff. Keep up the good work on the channel.
Great Video really exciting collection thats turned up there wish we had stores like that here in Northern Ireland. Tend to agree with your last comments particularly poignant for me was the bit about the REM disc. You seem a genuine guy and some comments here are a bit out of order. Just found your You Tube channel and really enjoying it keep up the good work. The first vinyl I ever bought was the Beatles aged 8 in'64. Off to a record fair here tomorrow hope I have your luck.
Awesome video mate. As the record store owner was putting that sealed EP away I see the red tom petty box. You may wanna consider getting that mate. I think you would love the albums in there. I was so into that Dylan section as well. I've just started getting into him big time and trying to get all his albums on vinyl. Omg I wanna go to that record shop. lol. Take care mate
rockboy680 - Actually, that Tom Petty box is being sold alone empty, as it does not have the records inside. Be sure to drop by the shop if you're ever in the USA!
Just 'cos something's shrinkwrapped, don't mean it's new/untouched. I used to 'shrink' all sorts of stuff in my job. Toiletries, video tapes, cassette tapes, laser discs, records, documents, magazines etc. Ok. I had a machine & a heat tunnel, but shrinkwrapping can be done just using a hair dryer, (with the correct plastic film).
I just heard of a Vinyl record store here in Pennsylvania in Scranton that is closing. Another subject I wonder if anyone every heard of Kenny Burrell Midnight Blue album sold recently on ebay for $385.00
The records I would have bought were a lot of the George Harrison albums, that Beatles Red Album, The entire who lot (the who are my favorite band), and a big chunk of the animals albums
hi joe what a motherlode of great mint vinyl! lots of stuff that would make any record collector drool! glad you picked up some real nice lps! I wonder what record store owner joe paid for these beauties? rob
These people do not love music, its about arrogant greed of expensive items. Music is far far away from this picture 😂

I used to collect Blondie the way you collect Beatles. Oh, my God - those crates on the floor were sheer torture. Highway 61 in mono with the shrink and sticker? And was that mono Procol Harum sealed?? I saw more Dylan, Beach Boys, Byrds, Stones and God-knows-what-else in shrink and in mono! I can really relate to how you felt as you started pulling them out. I'm going to have to come up there, that's all there is to it. I'm going crazy!! Unbelievable collection. God knows how he found it. Never stuff like that around here! You must have spent a good bit. Best video yet. Cheers.
Tony C - Glad you enjoyed it, Tony. I pulled some more stuff that wasn't shown in the video, but I had to be careful. I could damn well have taken all the Stones upgrades for my collection, but I had to concentrate on some other things (I got a few Dylans too).
Im a funk jazz and soul collector. I deal with dealers and collectors occasionaly like this but like you some remember me. Im not anal about condition or original pressings but if its rare ill buy it.
Beatles are one thing but come on now I'd go broke on those crates and love every bit of it. Ah the Ravi's... that is a sweet Goodnight Vienna damn! You aren't worthy! Omgawd! That white album! Revolver! Ugh Sick... I'll take Garden Party and the Squeeze albums for kicks. Ah dammmutt. Great shop I love those guys. If he's not to big a B fan trade him for it.
This really shows the fun of hunting for records. Great video. 🖤 Edit: every time I try to find Let It Be, it’s in horrible condition. The cover is gone, the cover is half ripped, the record is scratched, it’s horrible... I’ve been trying to find a good copy for years. And of course there’s a good one in this video. 😂 The universe is laughing at me.
Joe get the between the buttons mono and Shrink that's my favorite Stones album from that time. If you've noticed the stones seem to be heavily influenced by Bob Dylan with that album just my opinion again
I'm glad you were able to buy a handfull of shrink wrapped albums, knowing that these will be treasured and preserved by yourself. I think you may need to go back and get some of those Rolling Stones albums too, before some schmuck buys them and rips into them. Love the video Joe, I bet you were buzzing with excitement going through those 2 last crates. take care. ps. my name is John, just so you can put a name to a subscriber.
Beat Up Collector - Thanks, John. (I may still use your screen name in comments just to keep things straight as to who I'm answering from one comment to the next). I was very excited, true.
I’m a huge Beatle fan and I would have been livid if someone got the Beatles 65 album and not know one song. Going off memory the songs on it are and this is in no particular order 1. No reply 2. I’m a loser 3. Baby’s in black 4. She’s a woman 5. I feel fine 6. Everybody’s trying to be my baby 7. I’ll be back 8. Mr moonlight (I think) 9. Honey Don’t 10. Rock and roll music 11. I’ll follow the sun. Hopefully my memory serves me right but who know. 😂
Thank you for posting these gem videos. Brings back memories of collecting in NYC with my friends. What's the name of this store? Does it have a website? Thanks again for posting
Beatles 65 is a fantastic score . It's a great package , and music. That info may have been given to the fellow , and he chose to jump on the opportunity. You win some, you lose some. I saw what you were scoring....no need to look back at 65........blessings bro.....tim

Simon Bewick I buy reissues all the time because I want the best quality. Although it's more expensive it's worth the price

you could listen on spotify then
shop owner: "you're not worthy!"
me: walking out of the shop, never to return.
agfagaevart - I agree... except in this case, I know this owner well, and he's pretty much doing this for fun on camera.
That was the most clean vinyl collection I ever saw I would have been bankrupt leaving that record store
Wow Joe - one of my fav vids of yours! The hairs on my arms were standing up see those rows of minty records - I mean "WOW". Thank you. Cheers, Craig
"I just bought them, ya Mook"
Oh lord I’d never go to his store another reason why I don’t go to record stores the owners are WAY to possessive and arrogant it’s so worth paying more and have people being nice to u than dealing with jerks
Is that owner for real? It's that kind of attitude that drove me away from records. And I used to be a record store owner!
Great albums, there. Thanks for letting me see what they had.
I love this situation
Owner: you cant have any of these records
mrmayo: il take this one and this one and this one.
Flipped right past a (likely) original Shangri-La's album 😭😭
All is fair in love and war (and vinyl collecting).. first come first serve.

Next video will be titled, Joe goes bankrupt at the record store. Lol.
Great fun Joe, but I can't believe you passed on the opportunity to own another copy of Press to Play.
This makes me want to travel the country to do some collecting.
This is right up there with one of your best record store vid's.
We had Korvettes in Philadelphia back in the day. I remember buying "Something New" there . You're fortunate to have a independent record store to visit, mine closed years ago. I remember Stars on 45 from 1981. Odd release.
Jimmy King - Seems to me that vinyl has become popular enough again that new independent stores are opening up.

Now I'm thinking maybe he schedules the good shipments of Beatles stuff for when he knows you won't be around, just to burn you. :)
TrustMeI'mBlack - I've always liked The Stones. Yes, the owner loves yanking everyone and anyone's chain(s). But at least it makes for fun videos. :)
It's a good thing I'm not a collector like this. I don't have any sealed vinyl that lasts more than maybe a day after I get it home. The enjoyment for me is playing on the turntable and getting it to sound its best.
I wish they would put out the American Beatles albums on vinyl in a box set or individually.
It stinks missing something cool but at the end of the day there is always another Limited Beer/Record something that would make you just as happy
Cheers
Wow, those records look amazing, 👍🏼👍🏼
You make a great point and completely understood. There are times I will buy albums that I like and there have been plenty of times I will let it go to someone who is really into the group/band more than I am. A few of these folks have really appreciated it and you can see it in their face how happy they are. Take care
Since you said you'd like to know what we think...
(Since tone is difficult to convey online, I say this in a friendly manner as I would to any buddy standing in front of me)
I honestly felt like questioning him on what songs were on '65 was a little out of line.
Arturo Arreloa - Oh, I understand he doesn't "have" to choose to do the same for me. That's the difference between being considerate or not.
You are very blessed yo live near a record store! I have an antique store where I get a lot of my stuff. Going to the real record store this Sunday an hour away very exited!
Here everything is stil f..... closed
I would have been all over those minty Mothers Verve albums.
About fifteen years ago, I got a sealed rainbow-label stereo _Beatles '65_ album from an elderly aunt of all people. She'd bought it back in '65 and never opened it.
You spotted them too! And OMG sweet deal on that sealed Beatles!
Um...call me dense, but is Beatles '65 valuable? Because I found 2 of them in the recent arrivals yesterday and passed them up and now I'm worried if it's something I need to be shot for doing.
I'd kill to find some of those records in any of the shops in my town
You and me both. The two crates on the floor were unbelievable. I would have spent a fortune.
Tony C. I would be in debt the rest of my life in most record shops. The ones in my town are very small
Maybe that's a blessing in disguise.
Look online, you always have people selling stuff that they do not know the true value of. A house clearance for example following a death, people just want rid so sell for cheap prices.
Being in the shrink wrap won't make it mint. Could be warped. Also, it's not that hard to shrink wrap a record. Be careful.
True.
Opened plenty of vintage records just to find out they’re warped or the gatefold is stuck together.
Joe
Great video 😀 so funny. Joe
"There's nothing even here yet!"
Boi, I would clean out that section.
Thanks for taking us through your digging session! Hope you ended up scoring the Beatles 65 record since then
I have to travel about 10 hours to find records like that. I live in small country town. You are very lucky Joe
cleft turnip - So I am told!
Never got the appeal of shrink and stickers... If I have a good copy, I'd rather buy something I don't have.
If only I could come across a record collection like that in my area
The banter between you and Bazooka Joe is hilarious
You got to travel if you want to find.... Great selection
Hey Joe! Great video taking us with you into your record digging session at your local record shop. Looks like you found some great finds and sorry to see you missed out on the Beatles 65. I understand you feeling cut! But I hope you found another good copy of it soon!
Would make a great reality show for vinyl junkies. Like hype stickers too!
Pretty awesome collection. There's some great stuff included in that lot besides The Beatles. Your store sure gets in quality used vinyl.
Steve Derda - They sure do. And that's because they're always passing up on collections that are total crud.
The banter was hilarious. I'd love to be there in person to hear what we call "the slagging" 😂
Live at Leads is the best whose album I've ever heard live. Just my point of view
Man there was some great stuff in this collection - I am SO glad I don't live near this store - as it is I'm trying to trim down the collection.
dixielandfarm - I wish you much success in your endeavor. I've said I was going to cut back and focus purely on Beatles-related stuff, but I still find myself intrigued with non-Beatles stuff all the time. Still going to try and moderate that somewhat, too.
A real service-oriented proprietor....
1970srocker - Thanks for watching and commenting.
Nice video! A wee bit worried about the vinyl lying on top of each other before they were getting cleaned. Can't be doing the sleeves any good!
MeanMr Mayo that's a shame. I would still say if you find it out and about I think it would be a great buy. Haha :) take care mate
Ya I'm looking at the mc5& the mothers of invention ones!!!!!!
thanks Joe...good vid...do you now own and have heard Blood On The Tracks....cos for years you were holding back and hadn't heard all of it?
Not yet, I'm afraid! But it's on my Bucket List.
Back to the future OST goes for 30 bucks
Just 'cos something's shrinkwrapped, don't mean it's new/untouched. I used to 'shrink' all sorts of stuff in my job. Toiletries, video tapes, cassette tapes, laser discs, records, documents, magazines etc. Ok. I had a machine & a heat tunnel, but shrinkwrapping can be done just using a hair dryer, (with the correct plastic film).
So then some are re-shrunk. But some of them are original, with hype stickers and all. You really can tell which is which.
Aah, yes, had forgotten about the stickers!
Good stuff love the ringo albums
PDQ records in Tucson Arizona (out of business now) 300,000 LPs. It was nice going in and 3 hours went by like 30 minutes. RIP PDQ.
Used to find that Wings album in the $1.99 bins in Manhattan along with Introducing the Beatles counterfeit in the 70s
I just heard of a Vinyl record store here in Pennsylvania in Scranton that is closing. Another subject I wonder if anyone every heard of Kenny Burrell Midnight Blue album sold recently on ebay for $385.00
Blondie's album parallel lines is such a cool record and the picture disc is just cool to have
Fantastic videos Mayo
I hear what you are saying....but rest assured if I saw the 65' record in the store I would have picked it up in a heartbeat.
Hey man, really like the video and the accent!,you sound abit like the great Dan Aykroyd to me,same county I’m guessing?,I’m from the UK myself
Nailed it Joe agree 100%
The next Vinyl Finds video will be great!
I wonder what record store owner joe paid for these beauties? rob
You know your a collector...when your pulling out yoko albums.
Sweet video!
man I want that Tommy lp so bad
Kinks, MC5, Peanut Butter Conspiracy, Mothers? Good gravy.
You said it, bro.
I could damn well have taken all the Stones upgrades for my collection, but I had to concentrate on some other things (I got a few Dylans too).
just like a puppy rolling over in the Clover! Haha
Just subbed, I'm having a ball watching you go through those record's!
Where did you get that Monkees album ?
.I didn't know there was a soundtrack for that TV special . It must be an import.
wow what a collection!
Aww man, that sucks. I know how it feels to miss out on a great find. Ah well, you win some, you lose some!
Beat by Beat - Yup, just like I said in the video.
I saw the John Lennon collection !!!!! Hey I want it!!
what a collection. wow.
Im a funk jazz and soul collector. I deal with dealers and collectors occasionaly like this but like you some remember me. Im not anal about condition or original pressings but if its rare ill buy it.
Wow and all this came from one collector! Well no one can say he/she didn't take care of their things.
YOU REMIND ME OF THAT GUY FROM "TOY STORY 2" THE ONE GOING KRAZY FOR THE WOODY TOY AT THE GARAGE SALE
I never saw Toy Story 2, I am proud to say.
@@MeanMrMayo HAVE A LOOK YOU LAUGH AND SAY TO YOSELF "LOL I CAN SEE IT LOL"
You missed Coven, one album that I really would buy in this shop
Most definitely.
JUST AMAZING! I wish I lived closer. Just out of curiosity how much was the Beatles ep set. thanks.
This really shows the fun of hunting for records. Great video. 🖤
Edit: every time I try to find Let It Be, it’s in horrible condition. The cover is gone, the cover is half ripped, the record is scratched, it’s horrible... I’ve been trying to find a good copy for years. And of course there’s a good one in this video. 😂 The universe is laughing at me.
Molly Godlewski - I suppose it depends on where you live. Nice copies tend to turn up at this here store every so often. Good luck!
MeanMrMayo thank you!
some nice stuff here
Awesome stuff!
Very nice
What kind of camera are you using to shoot while flipping...
Highway 61! Great l.p.
Joe get the between the buttons mono and Shrink that's my favorite Stones album from that time. If you've noticed the stones seem to be heavily influenced by Bob Dylan with that album just my opinion again
Excellent
Hi could you put up a link or something of Elvis vinyl video, I couldn’t find it
Jeez that’s some wicked good stuff, I think I’d be 2k in debt if I were to cash out from there.
No problem.
Has Joe the store owner, subscribed to this channel? and watches your videos?
It's a shame Joe that the fellow didn't remember the kindness you showed to him. Maybe when he got home😏
that MOFI UHQR box on the shelf....
Beatles 65 is a fantastic score . It's a great package , and music. That info may have been given to the fellow , and he chose to jump on the opportunity. You win some, you lose some. I saw what you were scoring....no need to look back at 65........blessings bro.....tim
