It was a really day for music. The store played some great tunes. Good music always makes the record shopping experience better!
Actually, on the John Fogerty boot, there is a single from the album that made it to release. But, both John and his label at the time, Asylum, both felt that the album was below expectations from both, and the album was pulled from release at the last second.

That’s how I feel every time I go to a record store. Probably one of the reasons I love it so much! Hitting up a new record store this weekend in Long Island. There will be a new Let’s Go To The Record Store video filmed and released early next week!
Great store. Nice look at it. Donnie Vie's solo stuff for sure is just as good as Enuff Znuff material. For Dokken, I gotta go Tooth and Nail as their best. Cheers.

Saw Love - Forever Changes. Took years to get into for me but once it clicked, its one of my favorite albums today
Took me a while too. I prefer the other albums over it. Debut is fantastic as is Da Capo.

Awesome! Sound Exchange in Wayne and Flipside II Records and Tapes in Pompton Lakes, NJ were my two record stores when I was a young punk growing up!
There were a few 80s songs in the background today!! I guess Anthony was having a retro moment!!! Great stuff !!!
Hello Brendon. I haven't viewed your channel for sometime. I took a break away from it. I would love to have a store like this here where I live in Palmerston North New Zealand. But alas one of the last of them closed down a few years ago. I check out second hand book stores that sell used ads, and charity shops but it's hard to get what I want. Occasionally I do. I have been listening to my large collection , cds that I haven't played for a long time. I listening to Jefferson Airplane as i'm keying in this message.
Carl, it’s good to have you back! I wish everyone could experience a store like this. It’s truly my happy place. Oh and I too love Jefferson Airplane/Starship.

I thought the same thing. I presume he’s able to do that since it was filmed at his friend’s store this time. Some other owners might get weird about people filming and talking to a camera in their store.
I lived right down the street in the Packanack Lake section of Wayne NJ. They have been around for a long time.

I met Alan gratzer formerly of REO Speedwagon at my local record store the other day here in Northern California. He's been retired for some time now and he and his wife now live in Auburn California. He told me that he had to retire cause of touring

Love going in there but haven't been there in awhile! It's kinda far I really miss the Vintage Vinyl in Fords NJ it was only 15 minutes from my home. Great pickups !

Yes, vintage vinyl and Fords New Jersey was great such a gigantic store so much stuff there you could spend hours looking through everything. Such an amazing selection they had. Very sad. They closed down a real loss to all of us.
Went to Vintage Vinyl for close to 40
years. I miss it terribly.
I grew up in Ford's, NJ. Live right down the street,use to shop at the A&P supermarket there.

Just checked out you latest record store visit. Great fun as usual. You mentioned you love Australian bands. You need to check out 70's band Taste (not to be confused with Rory Gallagher's band), in particular their first album Tickle Your Fancy. Heavy! You might recognize the drummer Virgil Donati who is a great prog and jazz drummer.

Faith No More did an amazing version of War Pigs on The Real Thing. My favorite song on the album is Surprise, You're Dead!
1:10 just picked up some sealed tape of that one. That was Yngwie Malmsteen early/first band that he was in.

Enuff was so underrated. But Kix were the kings of shoulda made it big.
Never understood why Kix wasn’t as big as Motley Crue or Ratt all being from the same timeframe starting in the very early 80’s they should have been kings by 1990. Blow My Fuse and Hot Wire are so good. I just don’t think they had the right promotion behind them.
@@BrendonSnyder y, so true. Best live band I've ever seen. Most consistently great songs, too. Unbeatable front man. First rate musicianship without sacrificing showmanship. I just don't think it got much better. Anyway, I enjoy your videos. Keep it up. Great cd picks!

Ooh there sure is! If you go to Japan bring a few empty suitcases because you will be amazed on how much you will want. I went 6 years ago now and literally stuffed 120 cd's into my luggage.
Noticed some Gandalf! Would love to get more of his stuff, but it's quite hard to find. I'm surprised that they have a whole bunch.

Ive slowed down on vinyl and have been buying CDs myself. What are the coolest CDs in your opinion from the era just after CD was introduced? So like ones that contemporary peoples nostalgic memories would contain the album on CD rather than vinyl. So like early 90s to really early 2000s
Way off on dates regarding the Virginia Wolf, it was released in 1986 produced by Queen's Roger Taylor, with the follow up Push from 1987, both quality AOR albums, the vocalist Chris Ousey would release multiple albums under Heartland, which he continues to do so, aswell as solo. Heartland released their debut album on a major, and toured the UK supporting Jagged Edge.

Just spreading the knowledge, not sure if Heartland releases made they way over to The States, recorded around 11 albums, but Ousey also released under groups like, Snakecharmer with Whitesnake members, plus The Distance (not the Robert Hart one), Ozone, and The Flood.
Elf is a great Dio/blues album.

Very rare, maybe 5 times in 35 years. Usually because I find an album with a different name and album cover, think it’s one I don’t own, only to later find out it was a US edition of a UK release or something like that.

The prices look very high at that record store.
I find they’re very competitive with other record stores. Unless you’re looking for run of the mill items that appear on the $1 cart these are typical prices. And they do have a dollar cart outside but I’m not interested in albums that appear there. They’re either already in my collection or albums I would never listen to.

There were a lot of Japan only albums that later got released in the US. They’re all available now but as a general rule I bought everything from Japan to get it first.

Helloween’s original singer is Kai! He did vocals on their first studio album & the EP before that! Michael came on board with album #2, Keeper 1!
Stop referring to 80’s metal as “glam or hair”! It’s just 80’s metal!
You’ve never hear me say “hair” metal so get over yourself. In addition, I’ve never referred to Helloween as any other than Power Metal which they are. Deal with it.
