Wish I saw this earlier lol. I combined mine without a mirror and kept them in for two months. Then I noticed I combined some in the wrong place and it was a patch with no dreads lmao. So then I cut all the ones I combined in half causing damage to some. But I was able to strengthen the damaged locs with extra hair

Question my roots are fine with my locks but at almost to the bottom they are thinin and it was dyed couple years ago can I combine them to make it stronger??..

Based on what you’ve said, your locs seem color damaged and combining may not help them at this point. I would get a loc professional with experience with loc repair to assess them. Make sure to get a consult with them before they do anything to your hair.

Yes I've combined several of my locs over the years, from 150+ down to about 112.
