I was locked about 5 years ago for around 15 years. I never lost a loc during the entire time I used to sew my thinning locs with regular black thread and a sewing needle. I thought I was weird for doing that it’s good to see it’s an actual thing. I just re-started a new lock journey four months ago and am just researching to brush up on the maintenance routine. Your locs look great, can’t wait to get to that stage. 😊
Thanks for sharing! I like the threading method
😂 me too. I just couldn’t. But this time I would let it go.
That's how they did it back in the days back home in the Caribbean
I like the idea of incorporating 2stran twist. You palmrolled them to makem blend in and while the size compared to the other locs are the same, that twisty texture of the 2stran subtly stands out
I actually like that a lot. I think it gives your set of locs more personality
I honestly wanna say… those who will notice the subtle 2stran in your set are those who are really paying attention to you 🤔, may even be a parallel to one noticing part of your actual personality
Thanks for your comment! Thats a nice viewpoint
Your hair is so beautiful
Thank youn
I love this method i grew up in the late 70s 80s and this is how they did it back then
I like it too!
Nice! Thank you, I’m going to try this method
I Love your Locs video very much 🎉🎉🎉
You and your Locs are very Beautiful ❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thank you so much!!
They look great gang.
Thanks
Very beautiful… I just purchased some thread to join very ting locs, I just don’t wanna deal with smaller locs
Thanks for sharing! And I understand
Same. So over the tiny locs but don't wanna lose my hair b
@@holisticflohow many locs do you have now?
Hey Lo 💙 been watching ur videos for a couple weeks now. Just sending love. Im 1 1/2 months locked (two strand twist method)
Thanks for your love and support!
Please keep me posted on you okk 🎉🎉🎉
Do you remove the thread once the combined locs starts to mesh together? And if so how long did you wait before removing the thread or do you leave it in
So far, I have left the thread in
Your eyebrows are beautiful
Thank you!
how do u separate each loc effectively cos I went 7 weeks without a retwist and they all married together
I would just make sure the hair is wet when doing it. And be gentle it may take a lot of time because my roots mary easily too some peoples hair locs faster
Will these fully combine along the whole length of the locs? ✨
Hopefully!
@@holisticflo thanks for responding ✨
Hey, My semi freeforms are thinning at the roots, one of them already fell off, any tips??
Have you tried braiding your new growth into your locs?
How long do you keep it in
I still have it in to this day
Do u eventually cut out the thread or leave it be ?
Hopefully this video helps Did I Make A Mistake? Why You Shouldn't Combine Your Locs With Thread
ua-cam.com/video/YbsSEJy3PA8/v-deo.html
Do you keep it in
Yes for the most part
❤
When you come to Philly are you taking appointments? 🙂
Nahh im not a loctician
I Want To Combine My Loc In The Front But I Dont Want It To Thin Out It’s Thin Because It’s In The Front One Of My Roots Is Thinner Than The Loc I’m Thinking About Just Combing It Out and Putting It Into The Other Loc Instead Of Combining Two Locs
Ever combined locs before?
@@holisticfloNo I Just Combed The Thin One Out and Wrapped It Around Another Loc Beside It Now The Both The Root and Loc Is Thicker I Had Now 31 Because I Combed Out 2 I’m Thinking About Combing The Ones On The Side I Have A Undercut So They’re Naturally Thinner
I have my locs for 8 years, they been to thiny i combined and cut on my shoulders, now Im regrowing untill I cut them again -. Natually - without a crochet hook - We dont need them, locking and combining are two journeys inside the same and using anything between it is cheating n not natural imo.
Interesting. Thanks for your viewpoint
some of ur locs aren't even thinning tbh but if ur going for thicker locs, fair enough
You dont always see how thin it is especially if u have puffy/frizzy locs but if you hold it u can feel it and thats how mines are too. ❤
@@sobombeh "mines" isn't a word young chap.
@@los8627 I'm sure you have better things to do "young chap" or clearly not. You're dismissed.
u is so beautiful 😍
Thank you
Surprised to see you putting thread in your hair…
There's nothing unhealthy about it, in my opinion. Maybe for others yes. Worked better for me than crocheting
How many dreads u got mamas
68 now
@@holisticflo ur mad cute btw I’d love to get ur snap u can jus delete it real quick so only I can see Yk😌😌like in my notifications Yk
