I work as a cook in a nursing home for the past 18 years. As I have plantar fasciitis and work in a kitchen, I needed both good support and slip resistance. They only offer one style, Kinetic, in a slip-resistant sole, but I SWEAR by those shoes. When I'm wearing them, I can get through a workday and still be able to take my dog out for a walk after work instead of having to spend the evening massaging my feet. The slip-resistant sole is REALLY good and I haven't even had any skids on an icy freezer floor. I usually get the black, but the white and teal were on sale last time I needed shoes so I got those, and they are really nice looking. The Kinetic is faux leather and wipes clean easily, and I never have water come through. A pair usually lasts me between 8 months and a year. (you would not believe the abuse shoes get in a kitchen) They will replace the insoles for free with an order number, which does extend the life of the shoe. For me, because of the pain relief they offer, they are worth the price tag, but if you don't need the additional support, they might not be. (but if you are on your feet all day, DO get the best-supporting shoe you can afford for your particular arches!!! You WILL regret skimping later)
I was a big fan of Kuru shoes and my wife loves them for her arthritis. However, I do not like the Atom and Flux models because they have no tongue and they just didn’t feel right. They feel too stretchy and rubbery on my feet and I don’t like that feeling. I had Quantums which were ok but the toe box looks so boxy. The style I loved they discontinued. So, for now, my wife buys them but I do not. They are excellent quality shoes
I own 3 pairs of kurus and work at a hospital. My atoms are my favorite pair. I have wore my atoms for a year in a half and still no complaints and even in COVID when it peaked. Your feet will thank you later.
I'm not a healthcare worker, but I work in the produce department of a grocery store, and I constantly get my feet wet from soaking vegetables in a solution, and so far no matter how wet the shoes get, my feet never get soaked. I've only been wearing these for 3 days now but I've definitely spilled lots of water on them and have never felt it soak in to my actual foot
These shoes are soooo comfortable. I use Quantum, and I have flat feet, and I love them. I know they're entirely expensive, but I prefer to pay that price than the expensive Nike's that burns the bottom of my feet.
It’s been 10 months since you made the video. Have you continued to wear them? Have they worn well? Still comfortable for long periods of time? Thanks for the review.
I think there's Kuru shoes that are slip resistant and able to be wiped off, this specific model isn't that one. But yes there's a Kuru model you would be better off getting. Good honest review bud, appreciate it
I don't know about "nursing" shoes. But The QUEST from kuru is 👌 awesome 👌 Comfy all day as I work at the grocery store. I walk all day long...So CoMfY 🔥🔥🔥
I’m looking for shoes that have arch support but arm somewhat soft I’ve had issues with orthodics I have very flat feet and fused bones so everything sucks for me😂 I’m determined to find something that works for my job and working out
I have terrible plantar fasciitis for years I've been suffering. (I have the molded insole, the brace, shots etc)... helps, but I want to switch out my New Balence shoes with something more geared towards plantar fasciitis. I'm interested in these shoes but they cost $200! Do you have any other recommendations?
I'm in health care and just bought a pair of orthofeet shoes. They did not feel right, in my opinion. I'm thinking of Kuru, but is there something better in your opinion?
The first 2 minutes video was wasteful and summed down to..it is not marketed for health care workers. The only useful info that involves the technology of the shoes is only 30 seconds and that is all matters. Worst video ever

Are they pretty comfortable for you?
@@DabidRobinson very comfortable, probably the most comfort i've felt in a very very long time
Thanks for sharing friend! Also Make sure you subscribe! Happy holidays!

I have the Quantum also and I've never loved a shoe more.
I did a search for shoes for people with bad knees😮and these popped up kuru Atom sneakers😅

I no longer wear them, for myself they got a little squishy, so I’m back to wearing Snibbs
@@DabidRobinson Try the Quantum style you will love it

They make waterproof ones and slip resistant ones now .
Just ordered these!!! Watched a quantum review and I might have to send the atoms back lol.
Did you end up switching? What is your experience with the Kuru's?

Watch my Snibbs video!

There are aimed towards people with plantar fasciitis/heel pain!
I have bad supination and I wonder if these shoes would help me.
I hope these are good 😊👍 i just ordered some
Full Support. Always! Love this so much David. Your videos are a gift to us all. 🎁 🏥 👟 ❤
🥰🥰 and happy Halloween to you too! Haha

I love my Snibbs, check those ones out. I have made videos on them as well
Do you recommend this shoes for someone that suffers from plantar fasciitis? That work 8 to 9 hours ?
The website recommends them... Do you like soft shoes because these had quite a bit of cushion
Ever tried Tread Labs insoles? They worked great for me. Had plantar fasciitis and was on my feet 9 hours a day 5 days a week.
Will these help with foot fatigue for walking 8 hours a day on tile?
I wore them for 12 and they were okay. A trick I do is rotate my shoes. That way my shoes last longer and my feet don’t get used to the same pair
Thanks
Definitely not suitable for CNAs who give baths but in all, that’s one fashionable yet comfortable shoe
Right? haha
Bags over your feet dog 👍
Can you review the Hoka Bondi SRs???
im looking for shoes for focal dystonia of my foot would these work for me?
Cute puppy
Mesh always freaks me out within the medical field. I worked in Central Sterile and mesh was a no no. My feet would be soaked if I wore these.
Exactly my point!!! Haha
i hate danskos lol
Same lol

Dangggg haha
The shoes are for foot pain why are you talking about health care ???
Lots of healthcare nurses get foot pain from being on their feet all day
@@DabidRobinson those shoes are for a specific foot problem not just a ache
I'm a nurse who needs help finding the right shoe for my hogh arches and a 16-hr shift. This review is completely relevant.
