Ons are the best for me. I tried the Hokas for an 8 hour shift and the next day, they were being returned. The Ons are softer and better for my knees, since I walk on concrete for 8 hours at work.
You see this is a complete pile of steaming bullshit. What do you mean you "tried the Hoka's for an 8 hour shift"? What were you doing, looking at surveillance camera's? Which Hoka's vs On's did you wear? Each has different models, some firmer some softer. What a dolt!
@mikethechamp333 the Hokas may have a thicker sole but Im 150 lbs so Im not heavy enough to compress the sole. I dont remember the model. They were simple black slip ons. I dont like the big name brand, colors, styles so I went for the simplest looking shoe.
I like it when reviewers don't cop out at the end of the video with gibberish like "they're both good and it just depends on you so go and try both out and let me know in the comments below which one worked better for you". So, good on you, you gave a definitive verdict which one you preferred. No chickening out sh*t. Congrats!
Thank you for this comment and for checking out the video! I agree, it would have been unfair not to deliver a verdict. I really do like both brands of shoes for different reasons.
Great video! I work in hospital setting on my feet all day and love new shoes. It's not a luxury anymore since you need good shoes for your feet. My tip would be to shop for sales on line as they go clearance. Running warehouse, Zappos and even Amazon are great places. Go for funky colors if you can and get better deals. I usually save by shopping for models that are getting a new version soon to get a better price. My personal go to has been Mizuno ! New balance also great. Hoka def. Great but I feel they didn't last as long as others. Brooks also doesn't seem to last more than 300 miles or so.
Big thanks for checking out the video and sharing this info! I’ve had good luck with Dicks Sporting Goods. Yes it REALLY helps to find these shoes on sale otherwise they’re so expensive. I’m going to have to try out Mizuno, I’ve never owned a pair 🤔
Great video! I have worn my On cloud way more than my Hoka so far but I love the Hoka- so light! But I also know there’s so many different variations within each brand so hard to compare directly.
Agreed about there being so many variations that it makes it challenging to compare. But I do think there is enough consistency within each brand that it’s worth having the conversation. Thanks for checking out the video and sharing!
I bought Hoka Clifton 9 just over a week ago, I work as a caregiver and have had knee replacement, they are so comfortable and I can be on my feet longer without pain.
That’s fantastic! I’ve heard several stories like yours well comfort footwear has helped with injuries. Also the Clifton’s are great, and so are the Bondi’s. Both are more cushioned than the Arahi that I wore in the video. Big thanks for checking out the video and sharing your experience!
@@fitnessnbeer9835 anytime, your video came up on my feed ,I found Hoka because of a knee replacement group I am in and they are one of there favorites talked about shoes.I love mine already.
You did a great job covering this topic! I never gave the brands a second thought until working in the medical field and saw On Cloud, Hooka, and Brooks throughout the office. Segway a bit. I’m from Florida though currently in the Midwest i can spot a Publix supermarket in a heartbeat.
I have 3 pairs of ON currently and they are the most comfortable shoes i have ever worn. I used to always wear adidas growing up and now that i have switched to ON i dont think i could ever go back. Great video !
Big thanks for checking out the video and sharing your experience! I also have several pair of ON Cloud shoes and they are all pretty comfortable. However while ONs are my fave, I believe there are other really comfortable shoe options from other brands.
I have Hoka Arahi 6 (like you have in the video) for my running exercise, and On Cloud 5 for walking. Arahi 6 is a stability running shoes, which had a firmer sole at the medial post (inner side) to control your stability. Been running 956 km in Arahi 6 and is the most comfortable stability running shoes I’ve ever had. If you want a better cushion feel, you can try their more maximum cushioning shoes, like Bondi. As for my On Cloud 5, I have it for my walking activities, including for work (I’m a medical professional) and my 3-week Europe Trip. It is very comfortable for all day walking while still looking good. It looks better than Hoka, still properly matched my working outfit.
Big thanks for checking out the video and sharing your thoughts! Yes, I had no idea that I was buying a stability model. I selected the Arahi because I liked the way it felt and looked.🤦🏽♂️😂 Id actually tried out the Cliftons too and picked the Arahi instead. I’ve since bought a pair of Bondi which I like a bunch (I talk about all of this in a recent video about Hoka) but it didn’t change my observations much except that I have to give Hoka more credit for being a cushioned shoe. I think ON shines when the sole of the shoe is a little thicker. I like the Cloud Runners, Surfers, and Monsters. I didn’t find that the 5’s or X3’s were nearly as soft. And agreed, the ONs look cooler! 👍🏾😂
But why are better? Better materials? Better designs? Do their designs promote better kinesiology? I’m in a vicious circle right now with plantar fasciitis & lower back pain due to excess weight & advancing age. I want to exercise to lose weight but I can’t until musculoskeletal stuff gets better. Changing shoes more often helped & I’ve got a stack about 4 feet high to prove it but even that is not enough anymore. I’ve been considering the Hoka bc I see them so much but I’m wondering if it’s hype and/or marketing crass that has people buying them.
Good comparison! And you're absolutely 100% correct - walking is very different than running. Walking your heel will hit first and then roll through the forefoot to push off the ground. In a running gait, your heel might hit first, but it’s typically very quick before rolling forward and the way your foot rolls likely changes between a quick paced run and a walk. I hate it when people say "I tried them both but like _______ better" without saying how they used them and for what activity. Thanks for the honest comparison.
You deserve many more subs my friend. The humor combined with the extremely thorough reviews (acknowledging confirmation bias), etc. are refreshing and new in the review space. Earned my sub!
Thank you thank you! Every now and then I get a comment that makes my day and keeps me going.👍🏾. I def try to make useful and fair reviews. Again thanks for this comment and for checking out the video!
Man, your channel and videos are going places! Just wanted to add my voice of thanks for all of the great coverage on these shows. Video quality is so high! Keep going man
Thank you so much for this comment! Sometimes it’s a comment like this that motivates me to keep going. I just really hope the video are fun and helpful. Big thanks again bro!
This Shoes is the WORST hello "influencer" Just stop misleading people with your lies to get few dollars from this company. STOP SPREADING LIES oncloud is the worst shoes I have every wore or bought in my life they started to be squeaky after 2 months what a shame, now they will be thrown as it is so embarrassing to wear them I emailed their customer services, they told me the floor is causing it. well, no they squeak on every floor this is the worst shoes I have ever bought in my life I bought it in the UK and cost me 160£ for this price I could have bought two from my favourite comfy brand clark or ecco never again, I will never buy from this company again. wat a shame, expensive shoes for rubbish quality. my feet are hurting me, now I have an expensive shoes in the garbage bin with no use. it caused me feet pain, bruises and more! it does not provide support, and it makes your feet boiling. this shoes does not allow your feet to breath and it become smelly after few days of wearing it. never again I am so disappointed. I wish I had read the comments, I am hopeful my review will make you think twice before wasting your money.
I totally understand. I love walking in my Hokas too! But I also really like my Cloud Monsters. It’s a really tough choice in my opinion. But undoubtedly I can see how many prefer Hokas. For me it’s ON by less than a hair. Big thanks for checking out the video and sharing!
I just bought a pair of HOKA waterproof boots style and my first shift working at an arena… my feet were hurting in less than an hour… honestly my feet were hurting a bit
@@redherring87They were probably too narrow. The waterproof membrane will constrict your feet and cause fatigue as your feet swell throughout the day.
I am a ON fan. That is mainly due to falling down some stairs many years ago that has left me with with a weak ankle. I find the stiffness of the ON mid section provides a lateral stability than protects my ankle from twisting side to side, especially when walking on uneven surfaces such as footpaths in many parts of Europe. Combined with its superior cushioning and its lightness its a win win. Previously I wore New Balance, but when I wear them now I notice that they are too soft and lack any lateral stability so I have a sore ankle after my daily 4klm walk.
I’ve head several stories where the right shoe has helped dealing with an injury. I’m a big believer balance and stability help overall functionality. I personally have had a really good experience with the Hoka Bondi also, especially for lateral movement and uneven surfaces. I think you would like them based on your description above. It’s great to have more than one dependable option. Big thanks for checking out the video and sharing your experience!
Love this video!! For me comparing them isn’t that simple as one shoe model in each brand isn’t a full representation of the brand. Said differently I tried on Hoka Clifton and they were trash. I tried on Hoka Arahi, they are amazing. I tried two On Clouds and same. You really have to try several models within each brand. I also went to one of those places that scan your foot with digital imagery and that helped too. I wanted to like one of the other Hokas because they were slightly more visually attractive, but they were so uncomfortable. I ended up buying the uglier Arahis because they are supremely comfortable.
Huge thanks for this comment! Sorry I didn’t reply sooner. Yes you are right! The specific style makes a huge difference in the comfort of each shoe. Although I think there is some design consistency within each brand that also leads to comfort consistency within the brand. But still best to try them on when you can.
I agree that there are differences but I really like the Clifton 9 for a variety of activities. I find it a great all around shoe - working out, walking and light runs. Great colorways too.
Nice video my first HOKA were the Bondi 8 for walking and just got the Clifton 7s to alternate through the week. Your right about trying find the right shoe formula. I was a New Balance, Ascis shoe guy in my 26 yrs. in the service but the pounding took a toll on the knees. Finding a good shoe w/o having to add an expensive insole aint the way to go any more. Keep the videos coming.
Big thanks for this comment! I’ve heard many times from different individuals that the right paint of shoes has helped dealing with an injury. I really like my pair of Hoka Bondi’s and it may be my favorite walking shoe. However I really like the Cloud Monsters for just wearing about.
I put over 900 miles on both pairs of my Hoka Arahi 6s. But I’ve been wearing the On Cloud Surfers for most of my daily runs. Super comfortable but the jury is out on longevity.
i was torn between on, hoka, and brooks (i stand for 10-12 hours a day for work and am 6'5 about 320lbs for context) and multiple videos have mentioned these brands as great for standing/walking. i went to my local Dick's Sporting Goods tried multiple of all 3 brands and the on cloudmonsters were just SIGNIFICANTLY more comfortable than either of the other brands after trying multiple models glad i finally pulled the trigger. i wanted to come back to your video and thank you for the infodump and comparison of these brands.
Yo huge thanks for this comment sharing your experience and for checking out the video. The Cloudmonster are one of my favorite pairs of shoes overall. Did you also try the Cloud Surfers? I think the Surfers compare well to the Monsters.
Great article! As an Exercise Physiologist that was in charge of a military installation's fitness testing, I had to get trained on running shoes, gait analysis, walking, natural running, and movement patterns. The period of minimalist shoes was at full stride when Hoka's hit the market. I had a pair of Hoka One Ones. That was the start of the Maximalist shoe category. On was still trying to build itself in the US when it offered a 50% discount to Vets around 2019. I got my pair and it was the best comfort inside the shoe I had ever felt. It was narrow for my feet but still was a great feel. Asics and a few others have finally stepped into the Maximalist shoes more recently, giving Hoka and On competition. I now work at a VA hospital and Hoka, On, and Brooks definitely dominate. Thanks for for your vid.
Yo big thanks for checking out the video and commenting. And yes, I appreciate anyone that’s willing to share an honest opinion on camera, and mom fit the bill!🤣 I think it’s helpful when I can share more than just what I think.
Hey man, I ordered my cloudmonster 2's after watching this video. I was really in a toss-up between the Hoka and the OnClouds. This was a very helpful and informative video. Lots of value here.
Big thanks for this comment and for checking out the video! I think you’ll will enjoy the cushion of the Cloudmonster, but it’s still worth giving Hoka a try. I like both the Bondi and the Clifton.
@@fitnessnbeer9835 I know the Hokas are comfortable, also. Candidly, as a guy who is into fashion, the aesthetics of the OnCloud contributed to my decision and swayed me a little. I do like the looks of the Clifton, but the Bondi's look a little too much like orthopedic shoes to me 🤷🏼♂
what is your experience with the quality? The possible wearing time compared to other products? In Switzerland there are On lovers, but they are not runners, but they pay any price for the shoes. And there are those who have bought an On shoe once. And then never again. I'm one of them, for example.
My On shoes got broken within 7 months, but I work in the shoe store, so I know waterproof shoes have 1 year Warranty in the store, I can return it, but others don't know. I will never buy On again.None of my Hokas have problem, the only one problem with Hokas are the side of the shoe of the sole area, the painted color will come off a little bit if you wear them for a long time. Among my customers, 7 of out 10 will choose On, but not Hoka, just because On sneakers look slimmer, not because they are more comfortable. @@bibermen
I’m hoping with your experience working in a shoe store you could tell me if ON makes a non slip work shoe? I’m in need of new works shoes (must be non slip/slip resistant) and I’m ready to ditch my sketchers and pay for comfort. I know hoka makes a non slip work shoe and I’m ready to buy it. But they look much bulkier than shoes I would normally wear. I was hoping ON makes a non slip work shoe, as their shoes seem to be less bulky in general and seem to be a better fit for people with narrow feet (me). I just haven’t been able to find one by ON and figured you might know. Thanks in advance
most On shoes are slip resistant ones, you can tell by looking at the bottom of the sole area, they have the black square on the bottom of the sole. most of the shoe stores have the full refund policy within a month as long as you don't walk outside , I always tell my customers walk around in the house first for a couple days to make sure you love it, return it if you change your mind. Hokas has shoes which are not bulky, like transport series and solimar series. actually Hokas shoes looks bulky, but the body of the shoe fits narrow feet better because Hokas have thicker cushions. good luck!@@teeeff8337
Ty great video . I’m a nurse working 16 hours shift and love my Hoka ‘s. I was going to buy a pair of ON cloud but I thought I read that they were firmer. Tyvm for the video .
Big thanks for checking out the video and sharing your experience! It hugely depends on the model of each shoe too. I think ON’s feel softer when the shoe style has a thicker shoe sole. I suggest the Cloud Surfer, Cloud Runner, Cloudmonster, and Cloud Stratus to name a few. But I also really enjoy my Hokas, the Bondi are my faves but the Clifton are great too.
FYI I bought my last 4 pairs of On shoes at Nordstroms Rack in Las Vegas. They don’t show up on the website, but they are there (along with Hoka) in person.
On all the way for 13 h shifts on my feet. But it depends on your foot and ankle. I have a low arch and prefer cushion. Higher arch people seem to like firmer soles
Interesting 🤔. I can speak on the relation of arch to shoe preference but I generally like cushion with a balanced amount of support. Big thanks for checking out the video and sharing!
I was in a bad car accident 8 years ago and crushed my heel. I have a Metal plate and 12 pins in my right foot now. I spent 7 years trying to find a comfortable shoe. Nothing was working for me. I started noticing alot of people with Hoka shoes. I decided to try a pair. The Bondi 8. I'm now on my 3rd pair. Always the all Black pair. I personally hate all the colored shoes but that's just me. 🙂 Best shoes I've ever owned hands down.
Huge thanks for checking g out the video and sharing your story! I have a pair of the Hoka Bondi and they’re some of my favorites. Glad to hear you’re having success with your Hokas. Many people in the comments have mentioned how the right pair is shoes has helped them manage injuries or ailments. I definitely think it helps!
Really good video review! Great coverage and entertaining too. I am diabetic and even though I have worked my way back into a normal A1C, I now have diabetic neuropathy in my feet. My every day shoes have been Hoka, with a wide toe box. I have two pair of On, a blue running shoe and a brown leather\blue upper hiker. The On work really well for me, but I do wish I could get them with a wider toe box. Tough call to choose one, but I will say that during certain parts of the day, I find myself forgetting that I even have shoes on with my Hokas. On the other hand, when I'm wearing my blue On running shoes, I can't forget that I'm wearing them because people notice them right away and ask what brand those "great looking" shoes are! If I was stuck on a deserted island and the only shoe I had were the ones that I was wearing...? I'd hope that I had on my Hokas.
Big thank for checking out the video and sharing your experience! I’ve heard several times that Hoka was either recommended by a doctor or that they’ve helped with ailments. I really like my Hoka Bondi 8’s! They’re neck and neck with my Cloud Monsters for favorite shoe. Also I know that ON does offer a wide option with certain models.
Just over half way in and seeing the subtle mesh between the first video I’ve watched from you (yesterday) about ON, and now seeing how you tie in your efforts well and also must do a lot of behind the scenes work committing to making extra clean and well made vids, just gotta give massive props man 🤙
I own both. I wear them for different occasions. I wear my Hokas everyday for exercise and walking the dog. I wear the Hokas anytime just because they’re so comfortable! I have black waterproof On Clouds that I like to wear when I travel. Very light, comfortable, slim profile, and look stylish. I don’t like traveling with a heavy boot. Personally you can’t go wrong with either brand!
I agree with this 100%. I feel the experience varies between models, but both brands have some great offerings. Big thanks for checking out the video and sharing your thoughts!
I have the hokas Clifton and bondi, I also have the on cloudeclipse and cloudsurfer. I work in medicine and walk a ton off the job. Truthfully I love my onclouds. There’s no comparison. The hokas are good for walking but not standing, if you stand for long periods of time they are horrible. I wear all of these shoes with superfeet insoles. After talking to multiple friends in the medical world everyone has a preference and it’s different. My best advice go to a store and try them on in person. People have high arches, low arches, old feet, young feet, more or less body weight, everyone likes different shoes because everyone is different. 😊
I agree 100%.👍🏾. Especially the part about trying the shoes being the best way to figure out which you like best. Hokas have a bit of a rocker shape to the sole which I could see making them annoying to stand in for some. Fortunately I don’t mind standing in Hoka even for long periods of time but ON’s are my favorite. Big thanks for checking out the video and sharing your thoughts!!
Just bought the cloudsurfer at Dick's tonight and they are so comfortable. I work at the post office and stand for 8 hours so hopefully these will work out for me 😊
I really hope you find a solution for a pain free recovery. I prefer ON but everyone is different and I think either brand could be a potential solution. Also I think On shines better which models that have a thicker shoe sole like the Cloud Surfers, Monsters, Huge thanks for checking out the video and sharing your experience!
I am A strong heavy thick guy…I also have wide feet…I need lots of cushion for my weight and strength…or I’ll wear the cushion so fast if the shoes are thin like on cloud… So I wear hokas. Very comfy for me. My feet don’t really hurt…I also switch out my shoes a lot. I have two pairs of hokas and that’s all I’ve been wearing all week…and sometimes I forget I’m wearing my hokas because I forget my feet usually hurt… I feel like I’ll easily go through a pair of clouds
I think you’d be surprised. I’d suggest trying a model such as the Cloud Surfer or Cloud Eclipse or even Cloud Monster but a model with a thicker shoe sole. There’s no guarantees because we’re all different but it’s worth trying a pair on. Also you’d want a style that comes in the “wide” option. And yes I can also see how Hokas may work well for ya but it’s great if we can have options. Big thanks for checking out the video and sharing your experience!
Just found you and can say your video was not only well done but educational. Used to be a runner, strictly a walker now and have been using Hoka for 4 yrs. Also Brooks.. ON really does not "support" flat feet and those in need of Stability shoes and Wide sizes (10.5 Wide). Hoka definitely has better colors and looks. please advise on the Stability issue, I have looked at many websites and they really don't feature shoes for Flat feet.
Big thanks for your comment and for checking out the video! I don’t hear a lot about ON for stability. However I know ON does offer a wide version in several varieties. I like the Cloud Runners and Cloud Stratus. Honestly I hear more about Hoka and Brooks when it comes to stability. I have a pair of the Hoka Arahi that I really like. I’ve also heard good things about the Brooks Adrenaline. So it sounds like you’re in the right place.
I could totally see a pair of Hokas helping with foot pain. I have a pair of Hoka Bondi that are great. Big thanks for checking out the video and commenting!
1) Well-done video. Nothing extraneous. Typically i avoid youtube videos of this length but yours kept my focus. 2) Personally i feel that On's tend to make the foot appear long (as a female I dislike a shoe that makes my foot look longer than it is). Notably however Im not athletic and wear sneakers solely for style and comfort in daily wear. 3) I havent had the energy to try on a dozen pairs of sneakers in one sitting, hence ive not yet tried on more than a few pairs of the various style offerings. I wish shoe stores had knowledgeable salespersons (years ago, shoe salespersons knew everything about each and every product!) to educate customers on the various styles, without leaving me to guess or having to spend two hours online researching. 4) As an aside, lately im shocked and appalled at the glaring decline in overall quality among brands like Nike, Adidas, Reebok. Certainly others have noticed particularly if youre over age 40.... 5) I love your "For 'fox' Sake" t-shirt. 6) Your mom is gorgeous! And i dont even think she's wearing makeup either! As a woman myself, i can tell she be positively striking with a bright lipstick to make those perfect teeth and that gorgeous smile pop! (But she does not it, by any means.) 🙂
Every now and then I get a comment that just makes my day and today this was it! Thank you for your generous comment and for sharing your experience. I will absolutely share this with my mom, she'll love to hear it! I definitely think it's worth giving both ON and Hoka a try if you're looking for comfort, especially if you're over 40 :-). I haven't noticed that ON makes women's feet look long, lol. But I do think both brands may not appeal aesthetically to everyone. And also thank for noticing the shirt, I think it's hilarious!
Great video, thanks. Your decision is reasonable, but probably based on the wrong models you compared. The Cloudmonster is ONs most cushioned running shoe while Hokas Arahi is the stable version of the Clifton model. Stability shoes does always have a stiffer midsole to keep your foot in line. They used EVA foam w/ the J-frame technology as well not the super foam like ON put into the Cloudmonster. Means, Arahi is much stiffer as the Bondi for example, which is the most comfortable model in the Hoka line up. For those who‘re looking for the most cushion, stable and daily walking shoe from the Hoka brand - Gaviota 5 is highly recommend. I really like ON, they more good looking, but unfortunately not for my 🦶. Greetings and keep it up.
This is a great comment and you’re absolutely right! Thank you for the insights. The irony is I tried every pair of Hokas that Dicks Sporting goods had to offer including both the Clifton’s and the Bondi’s but I selected the Arahi’s based on feel and looks without realizing I picked a stabilization shoe. 🤦🏽♂️🤣. But I actually love my Arahi’s. The foam sole feels great and I even like working out in them including lateral movements. I was surprised at how stable and balanced a shoe with such a thick sole could feel. Also the sole has gotten softer after I added a few miles. I really like both the Monsters and the Arahi’s and prefer the Monsters by the slightest of margins. I’m working on a just Hoka review so I’m heading to Dick’s to try the Bondi’s again.👍🏾Big thanks for your comment and for checking out the video!!
@@fitnessnbeer9835 I really like your videos - very good quality! I‘m an ultra runner and Hoka is my favorite brand for that, that’s why. 😉 If you’ve the possibility, try the max stabilty shoes Gaviota 5 or the Stinson 7. Hoka changed the type of stabilty in both, It‘s a game changer on my feet. 😀 Greetings from Germany 🇩🇪
I'm a runner and hooka's, for me, blow ON out of the water when it comes to comfort and the impact of running. I will be fair to ON here and say I have yet to try the cloudmonsters for running as I own a pair of cloud swifts and could 5's. I wouldn't see myself running in those shoes definitely. I walk with them a lot and I don't see ON being as comfortable as people say (even thou I love them, but I must be honest). ON look better but hooka's are definitely more comfortable when it comes to running, but as for walking, I think they are the pretty much the same.
Big thanks for checking out the video and sharing your insights ! I think ON shines better with styles that have a thicker sole like the Cloud Runners, Surfers, or Status. And the Cloud Monsters are noticeably cushioned. Def try on a pair of Cloud Monsters if you can you’ll notice the cushion right away. . I didn’t feel that the Cloud 5’s or X3’s were as soft and felt more like every other sneaker. But overall I do think ON shoes are comfortable and I like them a tiny bit better than my Hoka Arahi’s. I like the Hokas a lot too. Love walking in them. Their feel and level of comfort are definitely unique and I can totally understand how many prefer Hoka to ON.
Bought them and used them for 1 week at Paris. Paris is massive big and with bad terain, many bad roads anomalies and also many brick roads.I walked inside a week and runned about in total 86.319 steps counts so i believe i had a huge experience with them. For me its the best walking or running shoe by far.I have used many top shoes from almost every brand. But this one its the King . Amazing in every single terain you will not feel a thing under your foot. Great for walking or running - excellent control solid stability. Materials looking very good quality. Even with rain my feet stayed dry. They are not big cause they usually looks big in the videos or photos and surely they are NOT heavy! Everything that you expecting from a running or walking shoe Cloudmonster 2 delivers it to the max.
I’ll have to admit I was under a rock until a few years ago. I wore adidas, Nike and new balance for decades until I developed plantar fasciitis. My doctor recommended the Hoka brand. He was an avid runner as well. I did try ON but for me at the time I was floored with the cushioning with Hoka.
I heard a few times about Hoka or ON helping with injuries or ailments. And yes I learned that Hokas can be very well cushioned. I have a pair of Bondi 8 that I love. However I think ON can even be a little more cushioned when it comes to the models with thicker shoe sole like the Cloud Monsters, Runners, or Stratus. Big thanks for checking out the video and sharing your experience!
I have run across hoka at ross, on more than one occasion. I have yet to see on running shoes at a discount second chance retailer yet. I have recently purchased a pair of altra torin 6's at ross. sooo. you have a great channel, you are definitely taking a different angle in the UA-cam universe.
Big thanks for your comment!! I really just hope to be honest and helpful when creating videos. I haven’t spotted Hoka in discount stores myself yet. I would grab them if did😂. However my brother did find a pair of ON in Dick’s for $77.
I have them both. However my On have plate embedded, so my Hoka felt wayyy more lighter and comfy. While my On (with plate) will felt bit heavy when you run with pace slower than 8…. However regarding options, I have wide feet, and Hoka offers more attractive options for me. My plan is I’ll train using On (plated) so that on the D Day of running event, I can wear my Hoka and (hopefully) go faster 🤣 Oh, I have Brooks too. And IMO Brooks also great! But if I have to choose for running, will back to Hoka as for now.
Love Brooks. Probably my favorite brand. But I just bought a Hoka Clifton Edge today and will use it for my daily 10k tomorrow. Pretty excited on how they will perform. It's an older model but was on sale for half the price. It seemed super stable in the store. I managed to lightly twist my ankle with a Adidas Adizero SL. The sole is just too high and narrow.
Great video. As a running enthusiast, I have used a few Hokas and enjoyed all so far. Sadly I haven't tried ON yet because of feedback from other runners that it's too firm. I might try their Cloudsurfer though, if ever. But I get some of the reactions in the video why they prefer ON. If standing and walking long hours on the job, like the medical professionals you've talked to, stability and a bit of firmness in the midsole may be beneficial.
Big thanks for checking out the video and sharing your insights! 👍🏾 I didn’t know that ON had a reputation amongst runners for being too firm. I find that ironic because I felt that ON shoes were more cushioned. But I think ON shines when the sole of the shoe is a little thicker like with the Cloud Runners, Surfers, or Monsters. I tried the Cloud X3’s and I didn’t think they were as soft. However I’m Really enjoying my Hokas too and they’re great to walk in.
As a runner i dont gravitate towards ONs for the same reason, too firm, however, my I went for the ON ultra trail for my trail shoes, there the firmness offers more stability and is more secure in uneven terrain. Also, went running on packed dirt, the firmness isnt uncomfortable as it is on pavement. So if you do trail, i recommend trying out the ONs!
Thank you so much for checking out a couple of videos and making this👆🏾comment. I definitely try. Every now and then I get a comment that really motivates me to keep working. Thank you!!
Thank you for this. I'm looking for comfort and have been wearing Skechers for several years. I just want something better for me as I become older and older.
Huge thanks for checking out the video and sharing your thoughts! I haven’t worn Skechers in a while but they used to be my choice running shoe. There’s lots of great options out there for foot comfort including Brooks, New Balance, and even Nike. Just have to know which models are best.
Agreed 100%. Ya know I’ve never had the NB Fresh Foams. I’m def curious about the More V4 and want to try them out🤔. That might be my next shoe to test. Huge thanks for the comment and for checking out the video!
I really like my Hokas too! I think I like Hokas better than ON when I’m being more active like trail walking or running. And I think I like ON Cloud better for just walking about. I’m up to 2 pair of Hoka and put serious miles on both. Big thanks for checking out the video and sharing your experience!
After watching this I went and did my own testing, but thank your for the starting info needed, I started of this the Hoka for a few months, then bought not one but 2 pairs of ON's, started with the ON Cloudnova which for a daily all around shoe , amazing, I love the fit and feel of these for daily walking, running etc. But the it was time for the big guns, and I got a pair of Cloudmonsters, well first I wanna say the springbord, you know its there and will change how you walk, but IMO people I luv my hoka's but hands down and now getting third pair it's ON all the way for me and my life style. SO my VOTE is ON
Huge thanks for checking out the video and returning to comment! Love to hear this! I definitely think it’s best to try a shoe on if you can and even better to live with the shoe for a while. We have similar conclusions. I really enjoy my Hoka but overall I like various styles of ON better.
I wanted the On Cloud 5 waterproof so bad. I liked how they looked and they seemed like they would be easy to clean. I also liked how I could decide to just slip them on and off without using the laces. When I tried them on, it felt like my foot was severely canted inward. My ankles were screaming in pain. Man was i disappointed. I tried on other styles and to me, they all felt hard and uncomfortable. I tried on the Clifton 9 and while they weren’t waterproof, and weren’t easy enough to slip on and off as the On Cloud, they felt so much softer. They felt amazing. They didn’t have the color I wanted so I went home and ordered the pair I wanted and I haven’t been disappointed so far. But I do wish I had tried their gore-Tex line.
Your comment was helpful. I need new work shoes (must be slip resistant) and I’m ready to ditch my sketchers and pay for comfort. I was looking to the ON cloud 5 waterproof in black. The description says they provide excellent grip and are slip resistant, but I can’t confirm if they are OSHA approved slip resistant. Altho I could probably get away with wearing them at my work anyway, I have a feeling since they are intended to be running shoes, the “slip resistant” they refer to is probably meant for not slipping while running outside. I actually want shoes that won’t make me slip if I step in oil or on a slice of lemon on the floor at work. Hoka actually makes a slip resistant work shoe. I don’t like the look of it as much. It’s much bulkier than a shoe I’d normally wear and I wanted the ONs because they seem to be better fit for people with narrow feet (me). Glad I saw your comment tho, helped me lock in the choice to choose true slip resistance over looks, and good to hear someone confirm the ON cloud 5s aren’t as comfortable as hoka so I know I’m not missing out. Thanks!
I feel it depends on the variation you have, for example I’m a health care professional and I have 2 pairs of the ON cloudnova 2 and 2 pairs of the HOKA bondi 8, and based on what I’ve experienced both are comfortable. The only difference HOKAs may look more bulky and ON look more stylish but in the end of the day the cloudnovas and bondi 8 are equivalent to each other when it comes to comfort
Big thanks for sharing this comment and for checking out the video. Yes I agree. The style plays a huge role in how the shoes feel. Sometimes I believe shoes can be equal in comfort but also have different kinds of comfort. For example I think my Cloudmonster and Hoka Bondi are really close in comfort but they also feel very different on the foot.
Yes, I hear this a lot. I really enjoy my Hokas, especially my Bondi. I think they’re super comfortable for working out. Thanks for checking out the video and taking time to comment!
Was in Tokyo for a week during the tail end of their summer (September) and the constant walking, standing in trains, and the humid heat really beat me up. Dropped by the On official store in Harajuku in the final days of the trip, and wanting to see what the hype was about, I bought the On Cloudflow 4 without knowing anything beforehand. This is actually one of their running shoes, with ground feel that reminded me of my old low-stack Mizuno Wave Musha 2s, but they pull off the trick of being well-cushioned too. I joked about On being "dad shoes" for folks who don't want to look like they have dad shoes, but so far the hype does seem substantiated.
Great story and thanks for sharing. Also thanks for checking out the video. I find it refreshing to get an opinion from someone who tried the brand without prior knowledge or bias.
I’m a nurse who developed pretty bad plantar fasciitis in nursing school. I now have custom insoles, which affects my opinions on these shoes, but I was told I need shoes that shift my weight away from my heel with lots of cushioning to protect the heel strike from the concrete hospital floors. I tried Brooks Adrenaline, which compressed really fast and don’t provide enough cushion, and I’ve tried Hokas Clifton 7 and currently wear Bondi 8. I heard On Clouds don’t provide much cushion so I didn’t wanna waste my money.
I just bought a pair of Hoka Bondi 8’s and I love them. I have neuropathy in my feet and I’ve tried so many shoes and without a doubt Hokas are life savers for me. I do plan on by a pair of On Clouds too.
I really like the Bondi 8 also. The Bondi is actually my favorite show for training. For ON I like the shoes styles with thicker shoe soles because I feel they’re more cushioned . I think the best comp to the Bondi 8 would be the Cloudmonster which is my favorite comfort shoe overall. Big thanks for checking out the video and sharing your experience!
Been using the Bondi mostly for work. Rubber outsoles also last for a long time even though they only cover a few areas underneath the shoe. The Torrent are super comfortable too, quite grippy on uneven surfaces and wet weather.
Big thanks for checking out the video and sharing! I’m starting to really like my Hokas too. I have the Arahi’s and the sole of the shoe is fantastic. I would like to try more models also.
Thank you for this video. I have plantar fasciitis and I love my Hokas. I haven’t tried out On Clouds yet, but Hokas come with a superior arch support which helps my foot pain. I am a lecturer at a university and I teach mostly standing, so Hokas help me out a great deal. I’ll try On Clouds and see if they provide superior comfort.
Huge thanks for checking out this video and sharing your experience! I really like Hoka with the Bondi being my model of choice. I do think ON can be comparable in comfort for a lot of people and I personally like them just a little better.
Thank you for the video, man. I have been pining over which to get, but now I've made my decision. The Hoka's would be better for me since I have a really deep arch on the front sides of my feet. I could really benefit from the larger toe box. Gonna be a big change since I'm a Jordan guy, but it's too painful to wear them all day working on concrete. I'm going to get a pair of On's also though, because a friend of mines said they're great for running. Going to find a pair that are wider in the front though.
Big thanks for checking out the vid and commenting! Also Bulls fan here, I like what Coby White is doing. I think either brand could be a win. I have a pair of Hoka Bondi that I love. But I also have a pair of Cloud Monsters from ON that are great. Also note that ON offers a wide option in a lot of their styles. I’m a big Nike guy too but my drug of choice was Air Max. Since I’ve been exploring shoes for comfort, I expanded my horizons and I now value different brands. Still love me some Max but def not for being on my feet all day.
A couple of great options. I’ve tried the Nike Invincibles. It haven’t bought a pair yet. I def want to get a pair. Big thanks for checking out the video and sharing your thoughts!
On cloud doesnt only scream comfortability but it looks very stylish too. Seeing them on you both.. I can tell On looks way better on you. You look pretty good wearing them”)
😂Big thanks for your comment and for checking out the video! I think ON shoes are unique looking but the looks have grown on me. And they’re def comfortable!
I wear my shoes (Hoka's, NB, Brooks, etc) about 20 hours a week. They don't even last 4 months before the soles are shot. I do not run and am not on my feet all day. I walk 1/2 a day. These shoes are now pushing $190. The foam just breaks down in no time.
Huge thanks for checking out the video and sharing your experience. Yes I notice this too. I feel like the shoe soles go flat after a while. It becomes really noticeable when you get a new pair of shoes. I understand that my shoes are going to wear I just hope for good values before they do!
Both brands are popular as they have caught on to fashion buyers. Yes, Hoka and On are popular with medical people but there are better shoes from other brands. Once the fad changes these brands will struggle, although Hoka seems to have more shoes that are actually used by runners
I totally agree that the boost in popularity is due to fashion and trend buyers. But I also think both Hoka and On shoes are generally more comfortable in comparison to most (not all) other brands of sneakers. But is their popularity still a fad, absolutely! However considering both Under Armour and Sketchers were founded in the 90’s, I think ON and Hoka will have staying power too. And yes I too see lots of Hokas on the walking/running trail. Big thanks for checking out the video and sharing!
I’d be interested in hearin your take on Nike’s ZoomX foam in their Invincible 3s. I gotta pair of the Invincible 3s, last year, on Black Friday and have yet to come across anybody w a softer more comfortable shoe.
I haven’t tried the ZoomX 3s Invincible but thanks for the suggestion! Now they’re definitely on my radar. I mite have to save up 💰 to get a pair. 🤣 But yes would love to compare a max comfort Nike shoe. Big thanks for checking out the video and sharing your experience!
I have lower back issue, tested both and found that On Cloud is better for regular walking etc. because of the response I got from the cushion on it. Hoka is thicker but less comfortable for regular use, might be better for hiking.
Thanks for checking out the video and sharing your thoughts! I agree and think most styles of ON have good cushion. And I scuttle my Hoka better for working out but overall I prefer ON. Also hope you find something that allows you to walk without pain. Many people in the comment have mentioned how a good shoe has helped alleviate pain.
People won’t invest in a good shoe. It pays itself off 10 fold, they see the price tag and say no way. But if they looked at it as an investment with staying comfortable and relieving pain. I have HOKA and I love them they are part of my write offs!
🤣understood especially if spending time on your feet is necessary for your career. I could definitely see shoes as part of the requirement to do one’s job. Also agree that the “right” or a quality pair of shoes goes a long way towards healthy and comfort. Big thanks for checking out the video and sharing your thoughts!
Good info here. Many variations among the brands. As a nurse i would like to find one that last a little longer but then again runners are not made for durability.
Big thanks for checking out the video and sharing your thoughts! With ON I think the models with thicker shoe soles like the Cloud Surfer, Cloud Stratus, or Cloud Runner or even Cloudmonster are going to be better. And I really enjoy my Hoka Bondi. Both brands have held up as good as any other for me however several people in the comment have complained about durability with ON.
I have both Norton’s Neuroma between the 2nd and 3rd metatarsals AND capsulitis of the second metatarsal. And am developing a bunion and hammer toe on the 2nd toe, all on my right foot! I thought I had a stress fracture, wow did it hurt! And I know what a broken bone feels like! PAIN CENTRAL … I got a pair of Hokas and am out of pain and am back to being able to walk. LOVE THEM! I may wear a size 4 in jeans, but my foot is a size 9 D! So glad I was able to try these on in my home town of Visalia, CA, The reason for my crippled right foot has to do with that women are supposed to be petite and good actresses while being ignored for our actual dimensions! I don’t mind the price as to get out of pain was PRICELESS !!! It also is the brand my Podiatrist would have recommended had I not already purchased these. I’m glad there are other choices, as we all do not have COOKIE CUTTER FEET !!!
That’s awesome! I’m so glad you found a solution to your pain. It seems a good pair of shoes makes a world of difference. I’ve received many comment where people have explained how their Hokas or ON have helped with injuries or with them managing pain. Huge thanks force king out the video and sharing your story!
I think both brands are uniquely comfortable and are some of my favorites. I don’t know about best ever, but definitely really good. Huge thanks for checking out the video and sharing your thoughts!
ON I use for going out casual wear - Hoka I use when I run - I like ON for it's style and colors but one bad thing is that the sole is terrible there is no grip to them so you will slip on anything slippery really easy.
After COUNTLESS video's of searching for a comfortable shoe to help me with my Neuropathy and most recently a torn meniscus surgery, THANK YOU for the best recommendation so far. I just wish you would have suggested which model of each you liked best.
Thank you so much for checking out the video and commenting! No problem for ON my faves are the Cloud Surfer, Runner, and Cloud Monster. And for Hoka it’s the Hoka Bondi and Clifton.
This is a total bum deal! And the CloudSurfers are some of my favorites. Fortunately I haven’t had a problem with squeaking but a few in the comments have mentioned the issue. I hope you’re still in your return window. Big thanks for checking out the video and sharing your experience.
I own 3 pairs of HOKA!!!!!! My podiatrist told me to get HOKA and stop wearing New Balance and Sketchers because I have a high arch and those other two were making my foot lose balance (no pun intended). I started with one pair of Clifton 9 (in Wide) and after 6 months, bought another pair (different colors). Then, before my last trip to CA, I tried on On and compared them to my HOKA and found that the On are NOT wide enough in the toe (even with a wide size); so I purchased a 3rd pair of HOKA, only this time, a Bondi 8 for more heel support (better for walking). Love my HOKA and I'm sold on them for life. There are some items you cannot go cheap with -- my health is worth it!
Big thanks for checking out the video and sharing your experience! I also have a pair of the Bondi 8 and I really enjoy them. I think the Bondi are my favorite shoe for being active. They are my go to for long walks, runs, and working out. I like my Cloudmonster better for casual wear but really I’m splitting hairs at that point.
My 37 yo daughter fractured her foot. She wore a boot for a few weeks and the doctor recommended Hoka's. My daughter runs 3 vision stores and one of the eye doctors surprised her and bought her a pair of Hoka's, which she dearly loves.
I’ve heard a few times how good footwear has helped people manage injuries. Glad your daughter is doing well on her feet! Guess you better get a pair next! Big thanks for checking out the video and sharing
The hoka slip proof kitchen shoe is my go to work shoe, but it’s a shame that the inner heel wears out so quickly. I get holes behind my heel in the foam after 6 months tops. What’s worse in that it esposes this piece of hard plastic that curls towards your skin, rendering them painful and useless for work. Because of my metatarsalgia, I am willing to pay $180 every six months to spare my feet, unfortunately.
I think it’s worth paying if a shoe can help avoid pain. I know Hoka has non-slip models but I haven’t heard of the “kitchen” shoe? Big drag that the sole wears out! I hope you can find a model where you can get more mileage! I def think it’s worth trying the Cloud Monsters from ON. Big thanks for checking out the video and sharing your experience!
i just bought the cloud runner 2 and hopefully it feels comfortable, as all my life I been running with Nike shoes as they are narrow and suitable for my foot, but sometimes I want extra cusion and to get that with Nike I need to pay around 180-280. The On cloud runner 2 only cost 150 which is basically the same price of most of my bike running shoes so I am deff looking forward to seeing how to feel and maybe purchase another pair for work for comfort
I really enjoy the Cloud Runners and feel they’re a great cushion middle ground. They’re cushioned enough to be noticeable but not too much that I think almost anyone can enjoy. Hope they work out well for you. Big thanks for checking out the video and sharing your experience!
🤣. I truly hope the video was helpful. I recommend trying both Hoka and ON. I think both brands are uniquely comfortable. I think ON shines with the models that have thicker soles. And the Hoka Bondi’s are great. Thanks for checking out the video and commenting!!
I’m so glad to hear you’re having success with the Arahi. I have a pair of Arahi too and although I like the Bondi better, I really enjoy my Arahi. I feel like the Arahi provide a great platform for walking. Thanks for checking out the video and sharing your experience!
I just bought my first running shoes ever(i know, better late than ever, right?), and they were the Arahi 7. First time i tried it on in comparison to other hokas, it was amazing. Im partially flat footed so the stability appealed to me more than something like the shiny clifton 9s
Congrats and hope you’re getting much comfort out of your running shoes. I also have a pair of Arahi that I really like. I think the sole of the shoe provides a great stepping platform. However my favorite Hokas are the Bondi.
Yes agreed 100%! I love my Hoka Bondi and they’re one of my favorite shoes for long runs, long walks, and being active. Big thanks for this comment, sharing your thoughts, and checking out the video!
Wishing good health to ya! Many people have shared how the appropriate footwear has helped them manage injuries. I hope you have the same success! Big thanks for checking out the video and sharing your story!
I really enjoy my Hoka Bondi but can’t say they’re the only quality shoe for comfort. I really like ON and Brooks too depending on the model. Brooks Ghost are great and I like the Cloudrunner and Cloudmonster from on. Big thanks for checking out the video and sharing your thoughts m!
Big thanks for checking out the video and sharing your thoughts! I think it’s worth trying on either ON or Hoka. I believe they’re good enough to rival most quality comfort brands.
The Cloudmonsters by ON are phenomenal for pillow like support. Got them for WDW and mainly for walking. I did try on another more common style of ON and found the shoe fit tight between by instep and toes due to my wide foot. Never tried Hoka.
I love the description “pillow like support” because I think that’s a great way to describe cushion (I’m going to use that description). I think ON shoes are better in the styles that have thicker shoe soles like the Cloud Surfer, Cloud Stratus, or Cloud Runner. Also I know most styles are offered in a wide variation. Big thanks for checking out the video and sharing your experiences!
your vids are cool man , Could you tell me the name of those on please ? :D that white ones are dope . and remember yo'all To buy running shoes you have to know what type of footprint you have, neutral, pronating or supinating, greetings from Colombia
Greeting from Atlanta Georgia in the U.S.! Thanks so much for this comment!! And yes I’m learning more about running shoes everyday! I think next I’m going to try getting fitted 🤔
Ons are the best for me. I tried the Hokas for an 8 hour shift and the next day, they were being returned. The Ons are softer and better for my knees, since I walk on concrete for 8 hours at work.
which hoka did u get?
You see this is a complete pile of steaming bullshit. What do you mean you "tried the Hoka's for an 8 hour shift"? What were you doing, looking at surveillance camera's? Which Hoka's vs On's did you wear? Each has different models, some firmer some softer. What a dolt!
which on are you using?
Hmm what model did you try ? I feel the opposite I feel the hokas have more cushion then the on
@mikethechamp333 the Hokas may have a thicker sole but Im 150 lbs so Im not heavy enough to compress the sole.
Totally agree with you, they trying to not offend anyone so hard, that i can't trust them anymore.
@@fitnessnbeer9835
Most welcome. The audience always want to walk away better informed than before. You understood that. 👍🏽
You threw the movie lines in perfect, especially Forrest Gump that was cracking me up
Big thanks for checking out the video and taking time to comment.
Honestly the Forrest Gump lines made me laugh too as I edited the video 😂
Big thanks for this comment and for checking out the video!
🤣 And yes that is 100% Publix! I’m in the ATL and that’s def the grocery spot. Keen eye!👍🏾
Which moeel
I have 4 pair of On and they look and feel the best a I have flat feet
That Arahi 6 are not the comp to the Cloud 5..
The Hooka Bondi is the comparable on to the cloud 5.
Even more comfortable.

This Shoes is the WORST
hello "influencer" Just stop misleading people with your lies to get few dollars from this company. STOP SPREADING LIES
oncloud is the worst shoes I have every wore or bought in my life
they started to be squeaky after 2 months
what a shame, now they will be thrown as it is so embarrassing to wear them
I emailed their customer services, they told me the floor is causing it. well, no they squeak on every floor
this is the worst shoes I have ever bought in my life
I bought it in the UK and cost me 160£
for this price I could have bought two from my favourite comfy brand clark or ecco
never again, I will never buy from this company again. wat a shame, expensive shoes for rubbish quality.
my feet are hurting me, now I have an expensive shoes in the garbage bin with no use. it caused me feet pain, bruises and more!
it does not provide support, and it makes your feet boiling. this shoes does not allow your feet to breath and it become smelly after few days of wearing it.
never again I am so disappointed.
I wish I had read the comments, I am hopeful my review will make you think twice before wasting your money.
Hoka's for walking & running, On for looking good. 😂 (I've had them both)
I totally understand. I love walking in my Hokas too! But I also really like my Cloud Monsters. It’s a really tough choice in my opinion. But undoubtedly I can see how many prefer Hokas. For me it’s ON by less than a hair.
Big thanks for checking out the video and sharing!
@@fitnessnbeer9835 I’ll have to try the Monsters 👹
The only answer 🙌
@@fitnessnbeer9835 I did! I just ended up preferring to look of the monsters to the surfer, but both supremely comfortable!
Was looking for a video like this! Thanks and nice touch asking your mom!
Yo big thanks for checking out the video and commenting. And yes, I appreciate anyone that’s willing to share an honest opinion on camera, and mom fit the bill!🤣 I think it’s helpful when I can share more than just what I think.
Good job! Well done production video. Best of luck 👍
I do like the looks of the Clifton, but the Bondi's look a little too much like orthopedic shoes to me 🤷🏼♂
I work in a shoe store, 8 out 10 people prefer On, but I love Hoka bondi 8, the look is so unique and cool, I own 7 pairs of those.
what is your experience with the quality?

After ankle replacement surgery my surgeon recommended I buy Hoka sneakers…glad I listened to him
I think Hokas are a great option!
Thanks for checking out the video and sharing!
Video editing here's for sure next level! Great content too...
Yo thanks so much for this comment, much appreciated!! I definitely try to make the editing flow.
FYI I bought my last 4 pairs of On shoes at Nordstroms Rack in Las Vegas. They don’t show up on the website, but they are there (along with Hoka) in person.
Big thanks for sharing that info and for checking out the video! Nordstrom Rack seems to have great deals.👍🏾
I am glad that you mentioned the wide toe box. I am trying to find a good running shoe with a wide toe box. I am going to check out the Hoka brand.

Just over half way in and seeing the subtle mesh between the first video I’ve watched from you (yesterday) about ON, and now seeing how you tie in your efforts well and also must do a lot of behind the scenes work committing to making extra clean and well made vids, just gotta give massive props man 🤙
Man, big thanks for checking out the video and writing this comment.
Your comment made my day, thank you for the kind words!
I work at the post office and stand for 8 hours so hopefully these will work out for me 😊
Recovery from fractured fibula and sprained ankle I was told to chose but thanks for making this video because it’s helped me to make my choice ❤
I really hope you find a solution for a pain free recovery. I prefer ON but everyone is different and I think either brand could be a potential solution. Also I think On shines better which models that have a thicker shoe sole like the Cloud Surfers, Monsters,
Huge thanks for checking out the video and sharing your experience!
I was on market for daily shoes so I can walk a lot while in Europe. Surprisingly I came across ecco. Super comfy and bought that for around 120 us $😊
I am A strong heavy thick guy…I also have wide feet…I need lots of cushion for my weight and strength…or I’ll wear the cushion so fast if the shoes are thin like on cloud…
So I wear hokas.
Very comfy for me. My feet don’t really hurt…I also switch out my shoes a lot.
I have two pairs of hokas and that’s all I’ve been wearing all week…and sometimes I forget I’m wearing my hokas because I forget my feet usually hurt…
I feel like I’ll easily go through a pair of clouds
I tried on hoka and the sole was stiff and helped prevent foot flex and pain 😊
(But she does not it, by any means.)
🙂
If you’ve the possibility, try the max stabilty shoes Gaviota 5 or the Stinson 7. Hoka changed the type of stabilty in both, It‘s a game changer on my feet. 😀

I really enjoyed your video. Wow! Game changer !!! I love the varied perspectives and the way you broke it down … enjoyable video .
Thank you for checking out the video and for the kind words! I do hope it was helpful. I believe both brands offer something unique.
But this one its the King
.
I saw some ONs at winners up here in toronto. Basically Canada's version of Ross
Big thanks for your comment!! I really just hope to be honest and helpful when creating videos.
I haven’t spotted Hoka in discount stores myself yet. I would grab them if did😂. However my brother did find a pair of ON in Dick’s for $77.
Okay liking just for the Forrest Gump usage! Gold
Big thanks for this comment and for checking out the video! The Forrest Gump comments made me laugh while I was editing the video.
I have them both. However my On have plate embedded, so my Hoka felt wayyy more lighter and comfy. While my On (with plate) will felt bit heavy when you run with pace slower than 8….
However regarding options, I have wide feet, and Hoka offers more attractive options for me.
My plan is I’ll train using On (plated) so that on the D Day of running event, I can wear my Hoka and (hopefully) go faster 🤣
Oh, I have Brooks too.
Your video is what I needed to decided which one. Great job!
So glad to hear the video was helpful.

LOVE my HOKAs. I have about 10 pairs and walk 30 miles every weekend.

Big thanks for checking out the video and sharing your experience!
I love hokas too, I have 7 pairs of bondi 8
I just bought some and they’re so lightweight it’s crazy. It’s nice to stand on long periods of time
Your comment was helpful.
@@fitnessnbeer9835 true, I agree the HOKAs comfort feels different from the ONs comfort when they are on your feet
I work in surgery, and the Hoka shoes have saved my knees, and feet!

@@AM-lz2jr helping improve, and sometimes save a person's life.
Mine too. It’s sooo comfyyy and supporting wide feet (me!) oh and gorgeous colours also :)))
I’m an ED tech. I have Hoka’s and Brooks. I think the strongest sneaker around all of the units have been Dansko, On Cloud, Holas, Nike, & Brooks.
Bondi and Cliftons are the best to recommend to someone who wants to try out a Hoka.
I really like Hoka with the Bondi
being my model of choice. I do think ON can be comparable in comfort for a lot of people and I personally like them just a little better.
Which hokas do you have?
Thank you! Literally answered all my questions.
Thanks so much for this comment and for checking out the video! I really try to answer the things consumers want to know.
Veteran working at the post office I just tried Hoka and I love them, I am waiting on my Nike Invincibility 3 to see how they stand up.
Hoka Eva form is an issue, the go flat about 300km for running. I just don't like the On midsole
Which brands are better? Experienced runners keep typing that without mentioning their preferred brands
PAIN CENTRAL …
I got a pair of Hokas and am out of pain and am back to being able to walk. LOVE THEM! I may wear a size 4 in jeans, but my foot is a size 9 D! So glad I was able to try these on in my home town of Visalia, CA,
The reason for my crippled right foot has to do with that women are supposed to be petite and good actresses while being ignored for our actual dimensions!
Hola and On are the 2 best running shoe brands ever in my opinion, and I've tried a LOT of different shoes.
My barely worn On Cloudsurfers are already squeaking and I can't believe such an expensive shoe (though comfortable) is having this issue.
This is a total bum deal! And the CloudSurfers are some of my favorites. Fortunately I haven’t had a problem with squeaking but a few in the comments have mentioned the issue. I hope you’re still in your return window.
Big thanks for checking out the video and sharing your experience.
Great review and observations. Production values are first rate!
Big thanks for this comment! And for checking out the video. Much appreciated.
I definitely try to make the video quality.
Great video thanks so much very informative - planning to purchase my 1st pair of Hoka’s this weekend!!!
Did you purchase that pair of Hoka?
Huge thanks for checking out the video and taking time to comment!
Funny, I work with the guy in the Eagles Jersey. Informative Vid. I'm leaning towards the On cloud x 3 or surfer...
That was very helpful, thank you.
How did you do a video of my mind???😊 I'm a nurse and this video is exactly what I was looking for
🤣. I truly hope the video was helpful. I recommend trying both Hoka and ON. I think both brands are uniquely comfortable. I think ON shines with the models that have thicker soles. And the Hoka Bondi’s are great.
Thanks for checking out the video and commenting!!
@@fitnessnbeer9835 The video was very nice. I bought On Cloudmonsters.😊
I have Hoka Arahi 7 for stability. Flat narrow feet with very narrow heels & falling arches. I like the “Bondi” but “Arahi” help my issues
Very good video..
But the Hooka Bondi.. are the ones...
Bondis and other Hookas are just not the same...
Yes agreed 100%! I love my Hoka Bondi and they’re one of my favorite shoes for long runs, long walks, and being active.
Big thanks for this comment, sharing your thoughts, and checking out the video!
Thanks. I had surgery and now i have angry nerves sticking out of the bottom of my foot. I will try the OC to see if I can walk without pain.
Wishing good health to ya! Many people have shared how the appropriate footwear has helped them manage injuries. I hope you have the same success!
Big thanks for checking out the video and sharing your story!
I really enjoyed this! You did a great job!!!
Thanks so much for this comment and for checking out the video!
I got 17 pairs of Hoka and love each and every one of them (Especially my Bondi 8 and Clifton 9)
Huge thanks for checking g out the video and sharing your thoughts!
I really like the Hoka Bondi. My favorite shoes for running and working out.
I run in brooks. I almost bought Hoka today: your review makes me want to talk on a cloud.
(And maybe there's a Roger Federer factor.)
Love, love Hoka haven’t tried the other ones but can’t see switching
I really enjoy my Hoka Bondi but can’t say they’re the only quality shoe for comfort. I really like ON and Brooks too depending on the model. Brooks Ghost are great and I like the Cloudrunner and Cloudmonster from on.
Big thanks for checking out the video and sharing your thoughts m!
Great video, thank for the informative comparison. Gen X’er here. Think I’ll stick with Brooks, Saucony, and Merrell’s. 👟
Big thanks for checking out the video and sharing your thoughts.
