Im so glad I found your channel. I've had RA for a very long time - in the early stages I was misdiagnosed so it tore my body apart. It's so hard to find things that actually work like they state they will. I am absolutely going to try these. Also, I cant wait to watch more of your videos - my doctors have all been duds, it'd be nice to have someone like you as a doc. 💜💜
I have both chicane and atom too, been 1 year and I have abused them but they still have held up! I'm fact my chicane only has small scratches and I'm always on trails and rocks. Fyi the Atoms are not good for any wet weather. Just received my Draft today (the kuru slipper) and they look and feel amazing but order a 1/2 size to full size larger. They run small. Ps. I have severe planter faciatis and these have helped me avoid surgery and still be able to be active. Oh, I ordered wide on the chicane and found it was not needed. All of thier shoes have a good flex in the toe box.
Thanks for this review. These look great but I need a very wide toebox. Most shoes today are designed too narrow in the toe area, even when they are labeled as Wide. For that reason I usually have to get X-Wide, just to have enough space for my toes not to be cramped or pushed together. I also use a custom orthotic, so I need space and depth for that. I see that the Chicane only comes in Wide, not X-Wide. So can you tell me, does this shoe have plenty of depth and space in the toe area? Also, how about the sole -- is it firm or flexible -- does it bend? Hope you can help me, thanks! [UPDATE: Nevermind. i read the MANY reviews from disappointed customers that said the toebox was way too tight (even in Wide) and too shallow, no depth. Several even said their toes became numb from wearing them.]
I'm also glad I found your channel. Thank you so much, lots of info. like many other people I have arthritis in my foot. Here's a potential future video based on the following questions about footwear based on your comments "Exercise & Movement is good" and you must "use All your muscles". 1) bear feet around the house - good or bad? 2) bear foot or slightly padded minimalist shoes - max feel of the ground, use your muscles and change your gait? good or bad? Shoes that resist twisting - good or bad? And lastly, arch supports good or bad? Thank you for making such great videos and help people like me with their lives well.
I have been eyeing this brand for months I have such bad foot heel pain but have spent hundreds of dollars in expensive shoes just afraid to go for another disappointment. My pain is so bad I just want to cry sometimes, maybe I will have to see about these.
I think they could be a great option for this. They are made with special technology in the sole to better support standing on concrete and harder surfaces. Absorbing more shock from harder surfaces can help to decrease joint pain.
I found these by accident doing a Google search for problem foot shoes. I have the Atom and the new slides and also the hiking boot. They are great and even get to Canada quickly, where I am.
How have these held up? I have been trying to replace my shoes every 3 months or so because of walking on concrete for 10 hours a day. And not that I'm not worth it :), but these are about double what I usually pay. In your opinion, do you think they would need to be replaced that often? Thanks Alyssa!
Hi Tammie! I have had mine for about 4-5 months now and they are doing great. Caveat being I don’t wear them everyday, maybe 2-3 days per week. I do think it is good to replace shoes every couple of months with a lot of use- especially on concrete. I have noticed these to last a little longer than some cheaper alternatives because of their sole technology. They do have great customer service too if they don’t work out how you would have hoped they will take care of you!
I bought KURU and I LOVE them! Thank you for the recommendation. But I need some dress shoes to wear with skirts and dresses. I know they have sandals, but I need something that is closed toe. any suggestions?

What do you think about these for someone with wider feet? Specifically the Atom. Thank you! I'm a podiatric nurse and interested in trying these.
The Atom is actually the one I have and I think they would be good for wider feet! The toebox is wider too!
@@arthritisadventure thank you!
I usually get wide in kuru and other sneakers with the atom should I get wide? Thank you love ur video💕
I stand on warehouse machines for 10 and 12 hours every day. No shoe helps. Would these be good for warehouse workers?

@@arthritisadventure that's good to know! Have you done any reviews on orthotics? Think they're a good idea?
I don’t personally recommend many orthotics but I know some people do have luck with them. I can post a video here soon.
@@tammie1219 I heard some people have had the same kuru for 2 years. Apparently the sole is replaceable.
Are these good for flat feet and overpronation?
I bought KURU and I LOVE them! Thank you for the recommendation. But I need some dress shoes to wear with skirts and dresses. I know they have sandals, but I need something that is closed toe. any suggestions?
Glad you love them!! I don’t off the top of my head but I will be on the lookout!

You're a mind reader. My sneakers have no tread. I'm gonna check these out!
okay awesome!! you'll love them!
Are these shoes helpful for midfoot arthritis? I keep hearing (and seeing) the word "arthritis" but no specificity on the type of arthritis.
Would these work (and be comfortable) for hallux limitus?
👌👍sounds like they are nice hiking shoes.
Yes they are!
