@@jamelakajamal Black people gotta get back to writing, singing and playing soulful music with deep human feeling (happy/joyful & blue/sad). Afro-Americanss have a rhythmic & musical (writing, playing, singing/dancing) special gift from God! Two or 3 generations of incredible black singing voices & soulful instrument players have been lost since just after the dawn of rap/hip-hop? What a loss for humanity.
Then, there is the incredibly negative influence that gansta-ho-bling rap has had on the black community which has been the impetuous for many terrible problems there. Black rap did not start this way. The people with the money bankrolling groups like NWA and Death Row Records steered it that way. Rap started as happy music with pretty positive messages.

He was such a clean, smooth, singer. It is sad that he is gone but, he did leave such a legacy behind. Great reaction, Jamel. Thank you!

The drummer, James Gadson may have been the coolest cat to ever walk the earth. That smile he'd shine, that man is from Planet Funk.

Yes!!! Now do "Just the two of us" "Lovely Day" and "Grandma's Hands". The last one was sampled by Blackstreet...

I always loved the drummer on these clips, he looks so cool and smooth and is clearly having a great time. The music is so real and so heart felt. It is a time that will never come again. It sounds so good, so real. And every man knows this feeling.

If you haven't done it yet, do Gordon Lightfoot's "Sundown".
Love Bill Withers' music so much. Such a loss when he stopped, even more now that he's gone.

Request: The Isley Brothers -- Who's that Lady. You'll love Ernie Isley's playing. And of course their vocals kick butt.

If you listen to Bill Withers' *"Grandma's Hands"*, you'll hear where Blackstreet and Teddy Riley got the sample for *"No Diggity"*.

Bill Withers has more Soul and feeling than all of the artist today. When he comes on the radio you know it. We miss his raw talent
