    thanks for all these videos, I'm seriously considering year up since I don't have many options right now and they've apparently temporarily upped the age limit to 26 which now includes me once again, so maybe it's like a sign that I should give it a try. hope you are doing well.

      @MexiTyler 2 роки тому +1

      @@godbylo1156 The campus I went to didn’t offer SW development. Only IT, Project Management, and Data Analytics (which I took). You also don’t need any experience for whichever track you’re interested in. You can choose which ones you’re interested in from most to least, but you’ll end up being placed where the staff feels you’ll be best at. That depends on your performance, knowledge from what they’ve taught you so far, and attitude.

    • @MexiTyler
      @MexiTyler 2 роки тому +1

      @@godbylo1156 I just seen your other comment asking if customer service is the worst track. There is no “worst track”, at least not in the sense that you’re asking. You’re also not guaranteed to get an internship that’s the same as your track. I took Data Analytics and ended up with an IT related internship. If IT is what you want, then customer service will definitely give you leverage for an IT help desk position. From there, you can work up to an IT technician role and the sky is the limit from there.

    I’m doing program management track and they literally sent me an email to do product design which I’m super confused. I was literally thinking I’ll be doing program management. At this point I made more money in my life doing what I used to do so it’s no point of continuing if I’m not getting the role I initially intended to get. Pro tip: they choose favorites, so be aware that you may be let down even if you tried your best. Passing all classes and not getting any infractions. Again if you are working a minimum wage job then this might be a good choice because it gets you out of the minimum wage bracket. But if you have been making good money before be careful with your time. It’s super time consuming 💯

    $15 Hourly? I make that at amazon! Smh, I start in 3 weeks. But I know I have to apply myself! I wanna be one of the best in classes
    However I wanted to do cyber security but they switched me to help desk, cause for the fall they aren’t going to do those classes :/ they said since it’s all due to the pandemic that’s fucking up everything

      Do your own studying on the side. Year Up helps with the cost of some of the certifications. So study and take the certs using the Year Up vouchers. I did the program and got hired where I was interning. I’ve been there for 3 years now. It’s hella hard but do your best and you’ll be set. Good luck!

      Yes, you can make that as an Amazon warehouse worker, however, there are almost no advancement. You are stuck at a warehouse. Year-Up gives you certifications, professional experience, and training for your resume. With those under your belt, you can have the ability to convert your internship into a full job. Later on, you then can find a job and advance to a more high paying position. Would you rather be stuck at a physically demanding 10 hour job for years without going anywhere, or advance your education and find a job that you barely actually work with a suit on and get paid $25+ lol. Not saying that Year-Up will 100%do that to you, I'm saying Year-Up is an educational tool that is almost like a shortcut to a Corporate job lifestyle and to boost education and resume.
